About the role:

As an Administrator and PA, you will provide comprehensive support to the CEO and Senior Leadership Team and ensure the effective running of the BANG office. Main Areas of responsibility

Administration

·PA support to the CEO – diary management, attending meetings, recording and following up on actions within and outside BANG.

·Provide professional, efficient and effective administrative support for projects, ensuring efficient and effective running of the charity office and daily business support

·Coordinating meetings, taking of minutes and following up on actions for CEO 

·Co-ordinate some resource and facilities management 

·General office duties including monitoring email inbox, answering the phone and responding to queries, filing and mailing, maintaining the First Aid box, smoke alarms and fire extinguishers, 

·Source appropriate supplies of stationery and equipment

·Contribute to maintenance and update all office Health and Safety processes

·Writing reports for internal and external use e.g. Board documents 

Intern and volunteer Administration

·Assist with recruitment and supervision of youth leaders, interns and volunteers

·Ensure BANG’s policies and procedures are followed during on boarding and development processes

Office and Project Support

·Coordinate office and project events 

·Contribute to the creation of relevant documents for the programmes as directed by Senior Leadership Team

·Coordinate and contribute to blog writing, newsletter, reports and content for social media and websites. Responsibility for CEO and org social media.

·Work closely with project facilitators to coordinate the collection and input of data, and to maintain project database

·Keep up to date with policy and best practice at work with young people, families and communities including any changes to the legislative framework

General

·Work evenings and weekends as, and when, required.

The successful post holder will be based at our offices in East Lulworth, Dorset, with some opportunity for home working. They will provide day to day support of administration and management of the office and facilities. You will need to have previous experience working in administration within a busy team. Your new role

• Carry out reception duties and act as 'first point of contact' for visitors to the office.

• Under the direction of Official Veterinarians or Officers, they undertake the initial documentary check for third country consignments of products of animal origin in accordance with ISO procedures and ensure that documents for charging purposes are sent to the Finance Section on a daily basis.

Legal services are central to BEO. We are therefore looking for someone of 4yrs PQE who has experience in social welfare, human rights, public and administration law and who seeks an opportunity to use those skills specifically in the area of challenging systemic racism.

In the last year we have been developing our relationships with partner organisations, ranging from community groups, our stakeholder law firms, NGOs and law firms experienced in equality and discrimination law, to deliver legal services. The role holder will be required to build on and expand these relationships so that BEO can offer quality legal advice to Back communities in the nations and regions across the United Kingdom.

· Providing general administrative support to colleagues and management as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

· Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role preferred.

· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

· Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, welcoming demeanour.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

· Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively.

· Attention to detail and accuracy in handling administrative duties.

· Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.

· Knowledge of additional languages is an advantage, particularly languages spoken by refugees and migrants.
