ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Senior Fundraiser, you will be responsible for delivering fundraising income and supporter engagement across community, corporate, and events fundraising. You'll also provide line management and day-to-day leadership to designated team members, helping them to achieve their objectives and develop their fundraising careers. 

What You'll Be Doing 

Fundraising and Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with supporters, businesses, schools, community groups, and organisations. 

• Recruit, engage, and steward supporters to maximise fundraising opportunities. 

• Grow income across community, corporate, and events fundraising. 

• Identify and develop income-generation opportunities. 

• Use Salesforce CRM and supporter insights to inform fundraising activity and relationship management. 

• Monitor performance against fundraising targets and contribute to income forecasting and reporting. 

• Work collaboratively across the charity to identify networks and opportunities. 

• Promote Shine campaigns, events, and activities to increase awareness and income. 

• Share inspiring supporter stories and fundraising successes with colleagues across the organisation. 

• Represent Shine at events, meetings, and networking opportunities. 

Leadership and Team Development

• Provide line management to designated members of the Fundraising Team. 

• Conduct regular one-to-one meetings and performance reviews. 

• Support colleagues with coaching, guidance, and professional development. 

• Contribute to the recruitment, induction, and development of new team members. 

• Help foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team culture. 

ABOUT YOU

We're looking for someone who is passionate about fundraising, enjoys building relationships, and has a proven track record of delivering results. 

You will have: 

• Experience in fundraising, particularly across community, corporate, and/or events fundraising. 

• A strong track record of achieving and exceeding income targets. 

• Excellent communication, networking, and relationship-building skills. 

• Experience managing multiple priorities. 

• Strong organisational skills and an understanding of KPIs, budgeting, target setting, and planning. 

• Experience using a CRM database, ideally Salesforce. 

• Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications. 

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality reports and supporter communications. 

• A proactive, self-motivated, and positive approach to work. 

• The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle. 

• Willingness to undertake occasional evening and weekend work to support fundraising activities and events.

About the role

This role will lead our agenda around the role of welfare to support the working age population to maintain good health and support people with long term health conditions or disability when they are unable to work or participate.  The Commission for Healthier Working Lives identified a number of issues with welfare support which effectively disincentivise people from accessing and staying in work and the purpose of this role is to make the case for change and point to potential solutions.

The post holder will have a strong understanding of the current welfare agenda, and particularly what this means for people with long term health conditions and disability.  Working with the Senior Fellow, you will identify the opportunities to shape better policy, providing decision makers with the evidence and clear recommendations.  As well as conducting your own analysis, you will help commission policy research projects from internal and external experts and provide oversight for these projects.

Developing your own profile as an expert, you will also lead or support drafting of external outputs, speak at external events and grow and maintain external stakeholder relationships.  The role provides a real opportunity to have a voice to influence the future shape of health and welfare policies and practice.

Steamship Shieldhall is seeking to appoint an experienced freelance Commercial Manager to build new income streams to support the ongoing operation, conservation and sustainability of one of the country's most significant historic ships.

Shieldhall is berthed year-round in Southampton and welcomes passengers and visitors on board from 110 Berth in the Western Docks. She is capable of carrying up to 220 passengers and from spring to autumn each year operates a programme of public sailings ranging from two hour trips to full day cruises. She is also open for alongside events, and is available for private charters. In addition, she can be hired for use alongside such as for training activities, meetings, functions and filming.

The Commercial Manager will be responsible for identifying and realising new opportunities for revenue generation for Steamship Shieldhall, as well as supporting Shieldhall’s experienced volunteers with maximising income from existing activities.

This commission is an important element of the “Steamship Shieldhall: towards 2055, the next 10 years” project which is supported by a Development Phase grant from The National Lottery Heritage Fund.  The appointment is intended to cover both the Development Phase and the first two years of the Delivery Phase of our  project but will include a break-clause between the two phases. The Delivery Phase contract is contingent on a successful Delivery Phase grant application to the Heritage Fund

This is an exciting training role in Army Cadet Headquarters responsible for the governance of risk in the Army Cadets.

In this critical organisational safety role, you will both generate medical risk assessments and assure those generated by others. You will ensure appropriate medical governance and compliance processes are in place, including identifying organisational clinical risks and recommending appropriate policies. You will oversee incident reporting and trend analysis to support continuous improvement. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key coordinating role within Carers Support West Sussex, supporting services that focus on specific caring roles, being mental health, dementia, learning disability, neurodiversity, and drug and alcohol.

Working closely with senior managers, you will bring leadership, structure and oversight to a varied and fast-paced role—coordinating multiple workstreams, supporting a team of Specialist Leads, and ensuring services are consistently high quality, well organised and responsive to what carers need.

A key part of the role is overseeing the delivery of grant-funded projects, ensuring they are effectively planned, coordinated and delivered to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support a team of Specialist Leads to deliver high-quality carer services
• Oversee delivery across key areas (mental health, dementia, learning disability & neurodiversity, drug & alcohol)

About the role

The Project Manager coordinates and delivers Act Build Change's programmes and initiatives, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to agreed standards. This hands-on role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects across membership programmes, partnership activities, and internal operations.

Working closely with programme leads and stakeholders, you'll provide essential coordination support to keep projects on track whilst maintaining clear documentation and communication throughout project lifecycles. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you'll ensure consistent project delivery standards and contribute valuable insights from project evaluation and monitoring.

Project planning and coordination

• Manage project lifecycles from initiation through to completion:
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and documentation using workflow systems.

Essential experience and skills

• Demonstrable project management experience with a proven track record of delivering multiple concurrent projects on time and within budget.
• Strong experience coordinating events, workshops, or programmes involving multiple stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to manage project timelines, resources, and logistics effectively.
• Experience working with external partners, suppliers, or contractors.

What we offer

Salary and benefits

• £30,900-£39,140 salary, depending on experience.
• Permanent contract with option for 4-5 days per week (salary and benefits will be pro-rated).
• Over 30 days of leave, including 25 days of annual leave, one day off for your birthday, one week off in August for learning and rest, plus Christmas close.

Working arrangements

• Fully remote working (must be within 4 hours of central London).
• Access to office space in London when needed.
• Co-working space expenses available for those based outside London.
• Occasional travel to London may be required (up to twice a month), with expenses covered.
