Summary
Are you passionate about fostering ecumenical relationships and shaping the strategic direction of ecumenically-based collaboration? We are seeking an experienced ecumenist to become National Advisor for Ecumenical Relations to support the Archbishops and Bishops in their ecumenical responsibilities, ensuring meaningful partnerships with churches across the UK and beyond.
The ecumenical sub-team is currently composed of three staff, two of whom (including the advertised post) are full-time, and one part-time, with access to administrative support from a fourth (half-time). The National Advisor for Ecumenical Relations is the sub-team manager. The sub-team is part of the Faith and Public Life team and is based at Lambeth Palace. It operates under the aegis of the Council for Christian Unity, reporting to the Archbishops' Council and also to the Archbishops of Canterbury and York.
What you'll be doing
The National Ecumenical Officer is a senior post, and the person appointed will work with the Council for Christian Unity to direct and manage the Church of England's ecumenical relationships at home and abroad and will work through the Office of the Archbishops to support the Archbishops of Canterbury and York in their ecumenical engagements.
As National Ecumenical Officer, you will promote, sustain and develop the Church of England's ecumenical relations, with a focus on enabling cooperation between churches in mission and evangelism. This involves working on cross-cutting issues with a bearing on ecumenical relations with other churches.
As someone considering this role, you will have extensive experience of ecumenical dialogue, whether locally, nationally or internationally, and a vision for ecumenism which holds unity and diversity together creatively. You will be driven by a theological vision for the work and have the pragmatism to know what is achievable and at what cost. You will be skilled in working with a range of senior stakeholders, with the wisdom to advise them authoritatively on ecumenical matters.

Summary of main responsibilities
- Provide ecumenical guidance to Archbishops and bishops in their ministries.
- Contribute to the strategic direction of the F&PL team, shaping ecumenical priorities.
- Represent the CCU and the Church of England at ecumenical bodies and key events.
- Offer theological expertise, collaborating with FAOC and integrating insights into the F&PL team's work.
- Build and maintain networks with ecumenical leaders and representatives in the UK and internationally.
- Support partnerships with other churches in mission and evangelism, advising on theological and practical matters.
- Prepare briefing papers and reports on ecumenical relations for senior Church figures.
- Participate in CCU meetings, fostering strong collaboration across the NCIs.
Key role requirements
- Because of the representative role of this post and the nature of the relationships it involves, there is a Genuine Occupational Requirement that the person appointed be a Communicant member of the Church of England.
- Willingness and ability to travel within the UK and abroad, including overnight trips.
- Hybrid work arrangement, with the expectation to work from the office (Church House, London or The Old Brewhouse - Bishopthorpe, York). Details about working arrangements for this post will be discussed further at the interview.
- An enhanced DBS check will be required as part of our pre-employment checks.

You will need to be/have:

Developing, delivering and ultimately growing our Facebook challenges offer will be a huge focus – we have some great learnings and are now looking to take them to the next level. About you
If your knowledge, skills and experience include the following then we’d love to hear from you:
- Proven successful track record of planning and delivering community fundraising products (or similar) to achieve a good return on investment.
- Experience of delivering excellent supporter or customer stewardship through multi-channels and building relationships with a wide variety of supporters on the phone, in writing and face to face driving engagement, increasing income, and increasing supporter retention.
- Experience to successfully and independently manage projects, delivering to pre-set deadlines, managing high workloads and ability to understand how and when to prioritise work.

- Understanding of the Fundraising Code of Practice and ensuring all fundraisers are always following correct guidance.

About the role:
This is an exciting front-of-house role. As receptionist you will be responsible for greeting every young person as they arrive and ensuring they leave safely. Position Overview: The Funder & Engagement Officer will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between funders and the charities we support. This position is responsible for enhancing funding awareness, establishing and nurturing strategic partnerships, and providing comprehensive support to our network of organisations. Key Responsibilities:
Fundraising Support:

Provide personalised consultations to charities/NFPs we work with to develop and refine their grants and trusts strategies.

Assist charities in identifying funding opportunities and preparing compelling grant applications.

Organise and conduct workshops and training sessions on fundraising best practices, funder engagement, monitoring and evaluation, and grant writing.
Relationship Building:

Establish and maintain strong relationships with a diverse range of grant funders

Facilitate strategic partnerships between member charities, infrastructure groups, and funders.

Represent AWN at relevant networking events, conferences, and meetings to promote the interests of our member organisations.
Resource Development:

Qualifications and Experience:

At least 3-5 years of experience in fundraising, grant management or not-for-profit management.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.

We are currently looking for a Cybersecurity Specialist to join our IT Department on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in strengthening Southbank Centre’s cybersecurity operations. Reporting to the IT Infrastructure Lead, you will support the protection and resilience of our digital systems, contributing to the monitoring of threats and enhancing our proactive response to the evolving cybersecurity landscape.
You’ll be joining a collaborative Infrastructure Team that includes a Senior Network Analyst and a Server & Cloud Engineer, working alongside our first and second-line Service Desk support team of five.
Main responsibilities
- Investigating and managing security incidents and supporting ongoing threat monitoring
- Promoting good security practices and behaviours across the organisation
- Supporting the development and enforcement of cybersecurity policies and procedures
