About the role

Medact is hiring for the new role of Fundraising Manager: Trusts & Grants to secure grant funds for the organisation over a critical one-year period. The new Fundraising Manager will be responsible for completing applications already in the pipeline, and then setting out a plan to apply for as many successful grants as possible in the period and delivering it.

The successful candidate will work closely with the senior leadership team and our programme staff, to identify, develop and write grant proposals to relevant funders, for both restricted and unrestricted income streams. 

About you

This is a skilled role but you don’t need to have had a job in an NGO before or be a professional campaigner to be right for it. You might have successfully fundraised for a local community organisation or a grassroots campaign on a social justice or health issue that you care about. 

You’ll have strong skills in developing and writing applications, with a strong understanding of the funding landscape and potential relevant grantmakers. You need to be a great communicator, able to translate the work of an organisation into language tailored for different funding bodies. You’ll also be a strong team player, able to work with relevant staff members to develop winning applications that fit properly within our existing strategy and areas of work.

As Development Manager for Perth Theatre and Concert Hall you will take the lead role in developing and implementing our fundraising strategy and growing our charitable income across Trusts & Foundations, Individual Giving and Corporate Sponsorship.

Fundraising Management and Development

• Implement a legacy giving scheme, working across departments to create support material and identify communication channels;

• Grow the donor base and average gift size through communications, events, and stewardship;
• Liaise with the Development Officer, Marketing and Box Office, Director and Programming team, and Learning & Engagement to effectively promote and manage individual giving and supporters;
• Maximise Gift Aid income and promote tax-effective giving.

Trusts & Foundations

• Develop and manage PTCH’s Trusts & Foundations pipeline for cultural programming and Learning & Engagement projects;
•  Research/identify a wide range of income sources to increase the number of funders and grant size;
• Oversee the database, maintaining accurate records to plan and prioritise funding applications;
• Work with the Director, Programming,Head of Learning & Engagement and others to devise high-quality applications and cases for support;
• Oversee the preparation of timely, accurate funder reports in collaboration with relevant teams;
• Nurture relationships with Trusts & Foundations contacts. 

Corporate Sponsorship

• Review the sponsorship offering and create a pitch pack for prospective partners;
• Proactively seek company partnerships and increase sponsor numbers and fees;
• Collaborate across departments to identify projects with sponsorship potential.

Person Specification

• Experience in the charity sector, ideally in an arts or cultural environment;
• Team player;
• Outstanding communicator and persuasive storyteller;
• Enthousiastic about new fundraising opportunities and sector trends.

Essential:

• Experience in developing and delivering a fundraising strategy for a similar-sized organisation;
• Proven track record of raising at least £250,000 annually through Trusts & Foundations and individual giving;

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Strategic Partnerships

You will have responsibility for developing a new strategy for high-net-worth individual support and you will lead the delivery of this strategy to secure high-value philanthropic partnerships under the responsibility of the Global Specialist in Major Giving.

Capital Campaign

Our new Capital Campaign will be an invaluable tool for you in developing funding from high-net-worth individuals in the UK. You will lead on its launch and recruit a Campaign Committee, stewarding them to deliver results.

Relationship Management

You will lead on the development and stewardship of long-term relationships with high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and family foundations.

Income Growth

You will drive the growth of an existing pipeline of high-net-worth individuals and develop this pipeline with new supporters from our individual giving stream and philanthropists who are new to HI, to secure significant gifts.

Collaboration

You will work closely with HI's Global Specialist in Major Giving, HI UK Trustees, our Federal Major Giving team, and international colleagues, to develop compelling proposals and provide timely impact reporting.

Stewardship

You will ensure exceptional donor stewardship and provide a high-quality experience for supporters at every stage of engagement.

Cultivation events

You will initiate and run high quality cultivation events for your donors and prospects, to form part of their stewardship journey.

Data Management

You will accurately manage donor records, communications, and reporting through our CRM.

Other duties

· Maintain a positive and collaborative working relationship with HI UK colleagues, the Federal fundraising and communication teams, and Major Giving counterparts in other HI national associations in Europe and North America.

· Ensure compliance with fundraising regulations and high standards.

About the Role:

As Fundraising & Communications Director, you’ll lead Baytree’s fundraising, communications, and corporate engagement—driving income and influence making it possible for even more girls and women to achieve their potential. We’re looking for a Deputy Shelter Manager to join our friendly leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the daily running and continuous improvement of our busy Shelter.

You’ll support the Shelter Manager in overseeing animal welfare, team management, and day-to-day operations — helping us deliver the highest standards of care and ensure every animal’s journey is positive from arrival to adoption.

As a live-in role, you’ll also be part of our out-of-hours cover team, ensuring the Shelter runs smoothly around the clock.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as Duty Manager, supporting the Shelter’s day-to-day operations.
• Lead on animal intake, ensuring high welfare standards and efficient use of space.
• Supervise and support staff and volunteers, encouraging development and teamwork.
• Work closely with our veterinary partners and the Animal Behaviour team.
• Uphold health and safety, animal welfare, and data protection standards.
• Support fundraising, public engagement, and community relations.

 About You

You’ll be an empathetic, organised, and proactive leader who’s passionate about animal welfare and supporting people to do their best work.

We’re looking for someone with:

• Experience in animal welfare, shelter management, or a related supervisory role
• Strong people management and communication skills
• Excellent organisation, decision-making, and IT abilities
• Calmness and confidence under pressure
• A full UK driving licence

Desirable: Animal Care qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3), experience in animal behaviour or veterinary work, or leadership training.

By leading on the management, development and evaluation of all aspects of the community fundraising strategy this role will help to grow ShelterBox income and reach across the UK and Ireland.

Who are we looking for?

ShelterBox is seeking a bright, motivated and proactive fundraiser who understands and is passionate about the value that our volunteers and different communities can bring to ShelterBox.

We are looking for someone to lead the Community team, a person who is able to juggle a busy workload with competing deadlines and someone who can be flexible and responsive when a major disaster occurs.

This role is responsible for leading on event and product innovations while supporting the team to develop best in class supporter journeys. We are looking for someone who has a vision for putting data at the heart of all decision making.

The individual should love working with people - be it the wider internal team, volunteers or fundraisers from across the country.

This is a key fundraising role and a great opportunity to inspire and engage with the wonderful supporters who enable ShelterBox to deliver its mission.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

• Deliver the community fundraising programme and continually monitor results, with particular focus on net income, Rotary engagement, supporter growth and the development of our volunteer network. Adjust and adapt plans accordingly.
• To set income and expenditure budgets for all community and events activity, monitoring industry and supporter trends, progress against budgets and reforecast income and expenditure as required.
• Set measurable KPIs for the Community and Events Team and objectively review the success and achievements against targets. Identify areas of risk and opportunity. Ensure contingencies are in place as appropriate.
• Strategically grow community income by identifying priority audiences and developing products/campaigns/communications to maximise the value of our existing supporters and to reach new ones. Ensure we remain relevant and future focused. To include the optimisation and mainstreaming of digital engagement.
• Continue to develop and test events, with the aim of growing our events portfolio, working closely with the Community Marketing and Events Officer.
• Embed evidence-based decision-making within the team, using insight and data to inform ways of working, and improving our use and adoptions of systems.
• Support team with stewarding high value community stakeholders, including the strategically important relationship with RGBI. Role model and support great relationship fundraising - leading by example to inspire high standards in the team.
• Lead the development of strategic plans to maximise our partnership with RGBI (including income, awareness and networking opportunities). Manage and support the Rotary Marketing and Engagement Officers to drive activity and performance. Work closely with the Rotary Partnership Manager to ensure plans and communications are aligned.
• Support Community Engagement Officer with the development and growth of our community volunteer network.
• Work with the Rotary Marketing Officer and Community Marketing and Events Officer to oversee the development of mass participation campaigns to engage target audiences (warm and cold) and grow income.
• Develop, deliver and evaluate major disaster plans for community audiences.
• Work across the team to review and develop 'donor journeys' in collaboration with the wider fundraising and Supporter Care team, ensuring an excellent supporter experience.
• Create an environment which supports the team to be confident in the contribution and development of new ideas for fundraising, ensuring we adopt a 'test and learn' approach through which people feel safe and supported to innovate.
• Ensure fundraising activity is carried out in accordance with current good practice and within charity law, managing contracts and agreements and providing advice to others.
• Represent the work of ShelterBox at events to members of the public and supporters, where necessary delivering presentations with occasional out of hours work required.
• Continue to develop a high performing team.
• Participate in the day-to-day work of the organisation - such as reporting, attending team meetings as required, and taking a flexible approach.
• Any other duties as may be reasonably required to ensure the smooth running of the Community and Events Team and wider Supporter Engagement Team.

We are recruiting for Community Fundraising Lead to provide support and guidance to individuals and small groups of existing volunteers across a range of geographical areas, many of whom have been on a journey with the charity for decades, recognising their values whilst ensuring the updated mission of the charity is respected and communicated effectively. Working with both the Marketing and Income Generation teams, there will be opportunities to collaborate on projects and develop leads for support to maximise on fundraising activities and donor retention.

Life is a UK charity for vulnerable women and families facing unexpected pregnancy or pregnancy loss. Life’s aim is to provide housing, care and support to vulnerable pregnant women (typically aged 16-25) who are in crisis situations, such as those facing homelessness (or at risk of), escaping abuse or other traumatic circumstances. About You

Reporting to the Head of Fundraising, the postholder will be responsible for building on our existing community fundraising initiatives, which includes networks of loyal volunteers and church contacts – from international pilgrim participants completing fundraising treks to congregations organising bake sales. Liaising with people at all levels, the role will oversee initiatives such as our Ambassador programme, encouraging people to be confident representatives of the charity and ensure they are equipped to share key updates about national campaigns and community fundraising initiatives.
