A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Virtual Casework Coordinator to join the Casework and Community Engagement Team at SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity. 

About the role 

You will be responsible for the efficient daily operations of the Virtual Casework Office. You will be working collaboratively with SSAFA colleagues and volunteers across all Regional Offices to ensure SSAFA beneficiaries receive a consistent, timely, and high-quality service.

You will be responsible for providing specialist administrative support, working closely with SSAFA Regional Offices, this will include supporting the volunteer network including our highly trained caseworkers, particularly with completion of cases.

This role will be key in supporting regions transitioning to our new digital platform, stepping in where extra help is needed.

About the team 

The team operates within a "virtual" office and will assist in the rollout of the Network Delivery Project (NDP) across all regions. The successful candidate will join a support team that includes two virtual casework coordinators, under the guidance of the Virtual Casework Manager.

All team members are homebased.

About you 

To carry out this role successfully you will have a track record of providing welfare advice in key areas such as, housing benefits, debt, disability, mobility or immigration issues. You will have knowledge of safeguarding and GDPR and experience in dealing with sensitive information and people in vulnerable situations. You will be able to provide excellent customer service by telephone, e-mail and face to face. You will have used Microsoft Office 365 to a high standard. It is important that you have experience of planning and managing your own workload, with minimal supervision.

It would be advantageous if you have an understanding of the way of life for today’s Armed Forces, veterans and their families and if you have experience of recruiting and supporting volunteers. An understanding of the voluntary sector and preferably the military charity sector would be valuable.

We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Head of Charity Development to work closely with the Deputy CEO to support change, diversification and transformation at Mind in Mid Herts (MiMH).

This role will focus on:

• Managing and expanding our income generation streams through our corporate and community fundraising

Project Overview

The Inspiration Academy will support Years 6-8 to engage with education, strengthen attainment and wellbeing, develop leadership skills, and build a sense of belonging. It is part of a new Belonging Partnership which represents a unique opportunity over 3 years to make a difference to young people during one of the most challenging periods of their lives. The partnership will enable us to track progress and share practice, with multiple perspectives available to assess how young people have benefited, including teachers and parents/carers. We know how rare such opportunities are and we are therefore hugely excited about it.

DreamArts’ contribution to the partnership is the Inspiration Academy, designed to reach 150 pupils in 5 primary schools annually. Of these, 30 young people identified as at-risk of disengagement receive tailored group-based support as they transition to Pimlico Academy.  

Year 6 students from partner primaries will choose and explore a meaningful issue and lead a creative campaign for their school community. Those at risk of disengagement will work alongside peers, taking on positive roles that reshape their self-perception.

A week-long summer intensive will equip at-risk students with a ‘toolkit’ to navigate the academic, social, and emotional challenges of secondary school. Once at Pimlico Academy, they’ll train as Inspiration Ambassadors, delivering workshops to future cohorts.

Additionally, Family Express will provide parents/carers with a creative space to explore challenges alongside their children and other families, strengthening relationships and resilience. Through these opportunities, young people will be supported to build a sense of belonging within their schools and within their wider community.

Responsibilities

The Project Therapist will work alongside the Project Lead and provide a group-based creative therapeutic approach to the planning and co-delivery of the Inspiration Academy. You will help identify mental health and educational needs and co-develop strategies for reducing barriers to participation so that young people can:

About the role

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to make an impact in the delivery of the income accounting provision at Hastoe.

You will assist our Management Accountant with the accounting, management and reconciliation of Hastoe’s solar photovoltaic portfolio, including the income that Hastoe receives from Feed-in-Tariff (FIT) payments. You will also assist with general management account duties.

The role will require close working and collaboration with colleagues within the Finance team and wider organisation (in particular our Housing and Property services teams), as well as communicating externally with other stakeholders regarding our PV panel portfolio. You will also need to liaise with Hastoe’s FIT licencee and other external organisations.

You will also assist with an exciting project to modernise Hastoe’s PV panel metering and data collection processes.

Duties will include:

• Assist the Management Accounts team to input accruals, Feed-in-Tariff (FiT) payment schedules and invoices relating to Hastoe’s solar photovoltaic (PV) panel portfolio.
• Assist with administration for said PV panel portfolio, accessing online portals, monitoring status of PV panels and payments.
• Liaise with Hastoe’s FiT licensee(s) to submit and receive information relating to the panels.
• Assist with the maintenance and servicing as required of the PV panel portfolio, working closely with Hastoe’s Property Services Team.
• Assist with completing reconciliations to ensure payments are allocated and accounted for correctly.
• Assist with reconciliations, month-end and other management accounts functions.

• Review service charge income and costs monthly to ensure they have been charged to the correct scheme and fully investigate and resolve any principal variances and anomalies identified (e.g., miscoding’s, duplications).

Finance Business Partner - Inclusive Communities & Partnerships

We are looking for a talented and motivated Finance Business Partner to support Mencap’s Inclusive Communities & Partnerships (ICP) directorate.

The ICP directorate plays a vital role in delivering frontline services and building strong, community-based support networks for people with a learning disability. Age UK Richmond upon Thames is a local independent charity supporting older people across the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. Our kitchen chef will prepare and cook meals for residents according to agreed menus. Oversees the service kitchen by managing any other members of the food preparation team, deciding what dishes to serve and adjusting orders to meet client's requests. Will assist in prep work and cleaning kitchen, but more often will be involved in cooking and serving dishes. There will be an expectation that the chef designs a menu based on client requirements in line with a set weekly budget. The chef will be expected to create calm, welcoming environment for a client group with complex needs.

As the UK’s leading university access organisation, our staff team is helping 56,000 young people each year at its 44 learning centres and extension projects across England and Scotland, and we plan to scale-up our provision to 50 centres over the coming years.

You will be taking up a permanent role as Centre Leader at our IntoUniversity centre in Walworth. You will have responsibility for running your IntoUniversity centre, including managing your team, planning and delivering the programme, liaising with external stakeholders and meeting  IntoUniversity’s targets for delivery.

A substantial element of this role is delivering our education programme to children and young people aged 7-18, so you will need to have a genuine passion and enthusiasm for working with young people, including leading a class of 30 from the front, working with small teams of children and providing one-to-one support.
