Job Purpose - Project Delivery Manager 

Responsible for the overall management of a defined project(s); establishing the membership of a cross functional project team; ensuring that the work is done within agreed time, cost, and quality tolerances; ensuring execution; ensuring post project evaluation.

Key Result Areas

• Deliver the definition, planning, development, and operational implementation of a new system(s) across the organisation.
• Developing the Project Initiation Document for Sponsor sign off that ensures effective estimation of cost, timescales, and resource requirements, including a detailed Quality Plan.
• Active management of project progress, scope, budget, risks, issues, resources, dependencies, stakeholders, vendors, and requirements throughout the project lifecycle, escalating to the Project Sponsor, as appropriate.
• Ensuring that Delivery Partners produce robust and realistic detailed project plans which enable critical path analysis, ensuring action is taken where these deviate from agreed tolerances.
• Manage supplier relationships – Using strong negotiation and influencing skills, you will ensure that suppliers / vendors keep to project delivery plans, that SLAs / KPIs are met, and that performance / delivery remains at a high standard. You will lead in the resolution of any blockages / challenges.
• Assuring and overseeing the effective management of all project workstreams to agreed quality criteria throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assuring and overseeing the development and execution of a stakeholder engagement plan to manage relationships, ensuring buy-in, timely involvement and commitment of key stakeholders.
• Put in place governance and control structures for the design, implementation and management of business process, infrastructure, data/data quality design.
• Ensure that robust frameworks are in place for User Acceptance Testing by systems users, project members and maintain oversight/approve resolution plans and changes.
• Support the Head of IT / Director of IT in contract management.

About the role
The Corporate Partnerships Manager role is responsible for delivery across the breadth of the partnerships pipeline.  An estimated 50% of the role will be devoted to new business development, including prospect identification, and shaping and delivering pitches and proposals to corporates and their foundations to meet fundraising targets.  The remaining 50% of partnership work will be dedicated to delivering an excellent standard of partnership management to several longstanding existing supporters, working creatively to identify and develop opportunities to maximise their impact.

As our corporate supporters can be powerful partners in the delivery of our advocacy and communications goals you will be confident working with colleagues internally to translate campaign plans into engagement opportunities for private sector partners. You will also be able to co-ordinate colleagues to meet new business deadlines and to ensure agreed partnership deliverables are achieved.

This role sits within our Philanthropy and Partnerships team of five, who focus on income generation through grants, philanthropy, corporate partnerships and individual giving and fundraising.  The post holder will work particularly closely with the Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships, as well as equipping Directors and our CEO to engage corporate partners and prospects where appropriate.  As a member of a comparatively small, highly ambitious team, there may, with time, be opportunities for the post holder to extend their experience beyond corporate partnerships, into other fundraising areas, should your skill set meet an identified need.

As a Community Shop Manager for St Giles Hospice you will lead a team of paid staff and volunteers. You’ll be empowered to make decisions locally whilst working within a supportive framework. Katherine Low Settlement has worked with older people since its conception in 1924.They are a core part of the community that we continue to work with. Our services include an Older People's Lunch Club, Contact Club, T’ai Chi for Elders, exercise and social sessions, and support online.

Key Objectives for the Elders Core Service Manager Role:

The Cherie Blair Foundation for Women is looking for an experienced and results-driven marketing professional with great know-how in marketing opportunities and managing agencies, and a commitment to women’s economic empowerment to join our team as Programme Marketing Manager for 12 months.

About the role

Becoming the Programme Marketing Manager at the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women is a fantastic opportunity to help drive progress for women entrepreneurs in low and middle income countries by engaging more people in our work.

The key purpose of this role is to effectively market our programmes to participants – chiefly our HerVenture business skills microlearning app and our sector-leading Mentoring Women in Business programme.

This will span three main projects:

· to successfully manage a marketing agency to effectively market the HerVenture app to women in South Africa (as part of a fixed-term project with active marketing ongoing until Mar ‘25);

· to successfully manage the same marketing agency to promote the app in Nigeria (as part of a separate fixed-term project with active marketing ongoing until Dec ‘24); and

· to effectively promote the opportunity to become a mentor to a woman entrepreneur through our Mentoring Women in Business programme to paying professionals worldwide. Your objective will be to secure 18+ paid mentors for the Nov ’24 programme intake and 20+ for the May ’25 intake.

Following the completion of the two HerVenture marketing projects, you will also lead other programme marketing initiatives in 2025. These will be determined in late 2024.

Following the May ’25 Mentoring intake you will deliver a strategy, harnessing your learning and analysis to outline an approach for marketing the programme to paying mentors in future.

You will also be called on to support other forms of programme marketing on an ad hoc basis, for example advising on development of corporate pitch decks, or co-designing materials for fundraising events.

This position reports directly to the Head of Communications and Marketing, however this is a highly collaborative role and you will also work closely with the Entrepreneurship programmes team and the Programme Funding team to develop and deliver plans and manage projects.

Our ideal candidate will be a knowledgeable and motivated marketer with experience in ‘selling’ professional development / online volunteering opportunities, and in managing agencies and contractors to deliver on fixed projects as aligned to good marketing practices. You should be highly organised and goals-driven, with a collaborative approach, a growth-oriented mindset, and a strong desire to harness the power of marketing to support women’s economic empowerment.

Job Title: Partnership Development Manager

Salary: £34,500.

Contract Type: Contract for 18 months; there is a strong possibility that currently anticipated growth in the team may see this role become permanent during the contract term. Full time (35 hours per week) although flexible hours may be considered; the role may require occasional evening and weekend work  

Working location: Home based. The post holder should expect to come into the office a minimum of two days per month, with the possibility of up to five days per month being routinely required.

BACKGROUND   

The latest research suggesting that the number of children and young people at risk of hunger has rocketed to three million means that one in five children don't have enough to eat.   

When a child is too hungry to learn, when they’re aching for something to eat, they can’t concentrate. They can’t absorb information. Big feelings and worries can be impossible to control. They fall behind in their studies.  

Magic Breakfast provide a nutritious and filling breakfast to over 200,000 children and young people every school day. We work with schools in areas of high disadvantage, helping staff target the children most in need without barrier or stigma.   

Magic Breakfast are ambitious to grow our impact in order to remove hunger as a barrier to learning for all children and young people in the UK. To do this, we need to continue to grow our fundraised income, of which new corporate income is a significant element.

JOB INFORMATION

You will already have strong credentials and be ready to start your journey into Partnership Management which will include leading in delivering the new business plan and working closely with colleagues in the Partnership Development team and across the organisation to identify, create and secure new strategic, multi-year corporate partnerships

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Building a pipeline that reflects Magic Breakfast’s restricted and unrestricted funding needs, including Gift in Kind requirements, working with the Partnership Research Executive to research and identify prospects with potential.  
• Making use of multiple tactics to secure meetings with prospects including, for example, cold calling, emailing, running events, event networking and social selling on platforms like LinkedIn.
• Ensuring that risk-screening and due diligence processes have been completed in line with Magic Breakfast’s Ethical Fundraising and Due Diligence policies. 
• Understanding each prospect’s strategic interests through meetings, discussions and research and defining the mutual advantage in partnership. 
• Developing and delivering engaging, relevant and impactful pitches and written proposals to prospective partners.

We’re recruiting for an experienced Philanthropy Manager whose area of expertise securing multi-year, six-figure gifts from grant-making organisations; developing and managing a trusts and grants pipeline, including the application and reporting process, in order to build a reliable and sustainable income stream. The postholder will be responsible for all areas of trusts and grants fundraising, including writing compelling applications that solicit funding for Life’s vital work as well as reporting on our service delivery outcomes, maximising the opportunities for renewed funding. 

The Philanthropy Manager (Trusts, Grants and Foundations) will be responsible for delivering a strategic approach to trusts, grants and foundations; working with service delivery areas of the organisation as well as the finance department, in order to create compelling projects, with measurable outcomes that can be reported on. The postholder will be able to articulate these projects into cases for support within written applications, matching projects with appropriate funders and delivering a compelling ask. This role requires the development of a trusts, grants and foundations pipeline, from research through to reporting, ensuring a sustainable and maximised income stream.
