We are looking for a Senior Strategic Evidence & Engagement Manager to join our team. We need you to accelerate our impact by driving the translation of early diagnosis, treatment and innovation evidence into policy and practice, through planning, delivery and oversight of a comprehensive, proactive content and comms plan across a range of health professional and health system audiences and channels.
What will I be doing?
Driving the development of our early diagnosis, treatment and innovation content and resources for a range of health professional and health system audiences, making the most of what we know and have and ensuring key messages are reaching our audiences and having an impact
Developing and overseeing the delivery of an internal and external content plan, profiling Cancer Research UK's thought leadership across different areas of the cancer pathway and facilitating the translation of evidence into policy and practice
Building strong relationships with key content, audience and communications teams in both the development and delivery of the plan
Maintaining oversight of resource development, such as those aimed at health professionals, and ensuring a strategically-relevant and impactful portfolio of content and resources
Liaising with evidence and health system engagement teams to identify and drive opportunities to support health systems audiences across the cancer pathway, bringing creativity, insight and positivity to the task
Leading on the review and design transformation of our existing health professional webpages
Managing communications on behalf of the Strategic Evidence team to key audiences, both internally and externally
Contributing to content sign-off with a focus on impact, accessibility, tone of voice and design
Developing and managing direct reports, including setting clear development objectives and appraising performance.

Job Purpose
To oversee the day-to-day delivery of CQC registered high quality dignified residential care and support services promoting respect, equality and the independence of the people supported.
Principal Accountabilities
- Efficiently manage the day-to-day delivery of the adult residential care home service
- Manage staffing levels to ensure sufficient numbers of suitably qualified staff.
- Effectively manage the staff team providing information, guidance and on-going supervision and performance management reviews.

- Experience in managing Human Resource issues.
- Experience in interagency working.
- Experience in the management of local budgets.
- Experience of managing services using the CQC Guidance of ‘Right Support, Right Care, Right Culture’

The role:
This part time (0.6FTE) post is located within the core services Team, and reports to the CEO. The postholder works closely across the organisation to deliver an efficient Office management, Reception and basic HR service to all managers and staff.
Aims of the post
• To manage the office, coordinating volunteers to provide reception and administrative services.

Specific Responsibilities
Office management

• DBS checks - To undertake renewal DBS checks for all employees and volunteers and make recommendations as necessary to managers.
• Managing information - To ensure good quality and accurate HR information management for all employees and volunteers with due regard to confidentiality and document control. To maintain electronic files and enable colleagues to make the best use of the HR database, Breathe HR. To facilitate references for former employees in partnership with managers and the CEO.
• Payroll - To collate information, draft and seek authorisation of payroll changes in partnership with the CEO and Director of Finance. To support the annual pay review.
• Recruitment - To coordinate recruitment processes in partnership with the recruiting manager. This includes liaising with the recruitment agency.
• Learning and Development - To coordinate training suppliers and place bookings for courses in consultation with the CEO. To contribute to coordinating the annual Staff and Volunteer conference.
Customer focused services
• Promote and support tenants/participants to access PBHA’s participation and co-production opportunities.
• Be supportive of PBHA’s ethos of maximising tenant/participant influence over the development of the organisation.
• To positively promote and signpost tenants and participants to report complaints in line with PBHA’s practice. To have a collaborative and co-operative approach towards resolving complaints, working with colleagues across teams and departments. To take collective responsibility for any shortfalls identified through complaints.

Main Conditions of Service
This is a part time position. The post is for 22.5 hours per week. It is expected that the hours will be delivered on 3 full days (to be agreed) each week but alternative arrangements, ie 4.5 hours per day for 5 days, may be acceptable. Duties will occasionally be carried out over evenings and some public holidays. Overtime is not paid but in line with Agile working, hours can be averaged out over a 2-week period.
Annual leave entitlement is 26 days per year plus normal bank holidays pro rata. This will rise after each completed year of service to a maximum of 30 days – pro rata.
Salaries and expenses are based on PBHA’s salary scales and are revised each year. The salary for this post will be in the range of £35,692 pro rata per annum and the starting salary is £35,692 (£21,415 for 22.5 hours per week).
The post holder will be auto enrolled to be a member of the organisation's contributory pension scheme if eligible.
In common with all posts at PBHA, confirmation of appointment is subject to a probationary period (6 months). The notice period for this role is four weeks.

WomenMATTA delivers support services to women in Manchester and Trafford who are in contact with, or at risk of being in contact with, the criminal justice system. This includes one to one advice, advocacy, practical and emotional support, and group interventions.
This position will provide strategic oversight and operational management to all WomenMATTA services delivered through hubs across multiple sites in Manchester and Trafford, ensuring quality standards are consistently met, staff are effectively managed, partnerships are established and maintained, and budgets are appropriately managed.

- Lead on the operational management and strategic oversight of WomenMATTA; ensuring high quality, trauma informed, and gender responsive services are delivered to vulnerable and marginalized women in contact with, or at risk of being in contact with, the criminal justice system.

The Role

Team Support and Line Management

This role requires the development of a trusts, grants and foundations pipeline, from research through to reporting, ensuring a sustainable and maximised income stream.

About Bite Back 2030
We’re surrounded by junk food. From the moment we're born, every second of every day, children are being targeted. Giant companies manipulate them with colourful, cuddly, clever marketing, deceive them with packaging claims and pump products at them that are full of junk. It's become the cultural wallpaper. Now, it risks endangering the health of a generation.
In the UK, nearly a third of children aged 2-15 face a higher risk of food-related ill health in their futures. The good news is, it's preventable. And we're biting back.
Bite Back is a youth activist movement challenging a food system that's been set up to fool us all by:
1) Calling out the manipulation of the junk food giants.
2) Demanding higher standards from food marketing and from everyday food itself.
3) Mobilising and equipping young people in the fight for better food.
We do all this so we can bite back against a global epidemic of food-related ill health.
About Bite Back in Schools
Bite Back has delivered our youth social action programme — Bite Back in Schools— to over 120 schools over the last two years. Working with secondary schools, we have supported over 2,000 11-14 year olds to plan and deliver social action projects to prioritise child health by improving their school food. This could be by making nutritious and sustainable food the norm by increasing the flow of healthy options in their canteens, or by redesigning the school food experience to put healthy options in the spotlight.
With funding awarded from the #iWill Fund, we are recruiting a brilliant cohort of schools who will join the programme in September 2024. Our programme model combines an assembly delivered by a Bite Back young ambassador, five hours of curriculum time sessions for a whole year group, and our ever-popular and impactful School Food Champions (SFC) extra-curricular club. Role Description
The Programmes Manager plays a key role supporting our community of schools during their time on the programme. They will support the design and lead on the delivery of Bite Back in Schools to ensure the best possible user experience for young people, their teachers and their schools, and to ensure the programme makes the greatest possible impact.
The Programmes Manager will report to the Head of Programmes, and will work closely with colleagues across Bite Back, in particular with our comms, digital, youth and policy teams, working within our Strategy and Delivery Function.
Key responsibilities include:
Relationship management

Provide ongoing support to schools throughout their time on the programme, building strong working relationships with participating schools.

Lead communication with all schools, being the first point of contact for the coordinator and lead teacher in each school.

Support monitoring and evaluation through creation of surveys, ensuring completion of baseline and end of year surveys, and analysis of data submitted (in partnership with our external evaluators).

Book and arrange assemblies, coordinating between schools and our Bite Back Ambassadors.
Community management

Celebrate and share examples of best practice and impactful social action projects amongst our community of schools.

Design and deliver training and webinars for schools.

Lead on the design and delivery of competitions for schools.

Schedule and organise visits to schools, agreeing agendas with the schools in advance to include elements including meeting pupils and teachers, leading feedback sessions and focus groups and supporting the development of their social action campaigns.

Drafting of termly newsletters and regular emails to schools.

Create case studies and collate material to share with our comms and digital teams.

Encourage teachers and pupils to use the new Bite Back digital platform to share their stories and projects, and take part in broader Bite Back campaigns.

Grow our movement - supporting the recruitment of future cohorts by promoting the Bite Back in Schools programme, distributing recruitment comms, holding set up calls with interested schools, and guiding schools through the application and enrolment process, working closely with the Head of Programmes on the design of these processes.

Manage the SFC inbox, dealing with enquiries from schools and other partners.

Process invoices related to the programme, liaising between schools and the Bite Back accounts team, and monitoring the monthly total payments made to schools.

Manage the budget for specific areas of programme expenditure, such as merchandise and Ambassador training.

Creating and uploading new high quality session plans, resources and materials to our digital platform as required.

Design and maintain reporting systems to monitor levels of engagement of individual schools, flagging concerns and proactively finding ways to mitigate issues to ensure schools remain on the programme.

Management of programmes section of Bite Back CRM system, keeping data up to date and accurate, and developing reports to share programme data with team and funders.

Skills / experience (desired):

Experience of working with CRM systems particularly Salesforce.

Experience in drafting compelling copy and uploading content to digital platforms.

Understanding of youth social action and extracurricular programmes.

Interest in campaigning, social justice, food, and child health.

Experience of managing budgets.
