About the role:

This role will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to broaden the use of financial capability educational content.  The development of the financial capability proposition will be to support our charitable objectives as well as generate income to fund our charitable activities. They will build strong relationships with appropriate stakeholders and contribute to enhancing our brand identity.This role will also oversee day-to-day operations across the following services e.g. IT, facilities management, project management and HR).

This is an exciting strategic leadership role which enjoys both the flexibility of hybrid working and flexible part-time hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Creating and implementing strategies to promote and broaden the use of our Financial Capability learning materials.
• Developing a business model for the financial capability content.
• Developing a suite of metrics to measure success.
• Managing and growing relationships with appropriate stakeholders.
• Manage operational risks and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Work collaboratively with the senior leadership team.
• Oversee day to day operations across the following services (e.g., IT, Facilities management, Project management, HR).

You will have:

• Worked in a similar senior role, preferably at Director level.
• Proven experience in successfully developing learning materials.
• A track record of implementing and operating Learning Management systems and CRM systems.
• Experience in overseeing day to day operations including managing relationships with third party providers.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and effectively manage projects.
• Excellent communication, presentation, influencing, and negotiation skills, with a strong ability to collaborate with and persuade stakeholders at all levels.

The Role

As the Senior Stewardship Manager at Social Mind you will be accountable for the overall delivery of our stewardship and community management services.

You will lead the strategic development of this service area helping to elevate our stewardship practices, ensuring they are closely aligned with the objectives of our charity partners and the evolving needs of their supporters.

You will lead and mentor our Stewardship Manager and their team, guiding them all in delivering exceptional supporter journeys and community management initiatives.

Your leadership will ensure that our stewardship approach is proactive, data-driven, and continuously optimised to enhance campaign performance and supporter satisfaction.

Background

Social Mind are experts at using social fundraising to drive income and engagement. From product innovation, journey design and campaign builds to virtual event management, we support charities in delivering successful campaigns at scale.

Our fundraising platform, Social Sync, aims to revolutionise the sector with integrated social fundraising campaigns and behavioural, omni-channel supporter journeys. We empower charities to raise more money through integrated Facebook and white label fundraising pages, build stronger relationships with sophisticated, personal journeys and we unlock supporter potential with meaningful insights.

Key Responsibilities

Campaign Delivery

• Strategic Stewardship Planning: Working collaboratively with the management team you will develop and implement a forward-looking stewardship strategy that aligns with our key objectives and the fundraising goals of our charity partners.
• Campaign Leadership: Work with the Campaign Manager to own the delivery and direction of stewardship in live fundraising campaigns, ensuring they meet or exceed income targets while delivering outstanding supporter experiences.
• Brand Protection: Ensure all stewardship activities are executed to the highest standards, safeguarding the brand and reputations of our business and our charity partners in every interaction.
• Performance Optimisation: Drive continuous improvement in fundraising outcomes by leveraging data insights, supporter feedback, and industry trends to inform stewardship and community management activities.

Supporter Experience

• Service Excellence: Establish and maintain high standards of customer service across all stewardship and community management activities, ensuring that all interactions reflect the values, goals and tone of our charity partners and meet agreed SLAs. You will also act as a subject matter expert on client calls working closely with our Customer Success team.
• Supporter Satisfaction: Monitor and analyse supporter feedback, responding swiftly to issues and opportunities to enhance the supporter experience.
• Safeguarding and Compliance: Ensure all stewardship and campaign delivery activities adhere to safeguarding protocols, data protection laws, and industry best practices, maintaining the highest standards of compliance and ethical conduct.
• Innovation in Stewardship: Identify opportunities for innovation within stewardship and community management, proposing new approaches to enhance campaign effectiveness and supporter engagement.

People Management and Team Building

• Leadership and Vision: Provide strategic leadership to the stewardship team, setting clear objectives, inspiring innovation, and driving accountability.
• Recruitment and Resource Management: Lead the recruitment and talent acquisition process to attract, select, and onboard top talent, ensuring the team is equipped with the skills and expertise needed to achieve strategic goals and that all campaigns are supported by a fully resourced team.

Role Description

Veganuary is recruiting a part-time HR Manager who will work to manage all aspects of the employee lifecycle across our International operation. This standalone HR position reports to the Chief Operating Officer and will manage and continue to develop all HR practices and processes ensuring compliance with local labour laws and regulations across the countries that Veganuary operates in. This role is crucial in ensuring the organisation attracts, recruits and develops high performing team members. The HR manager will work closely with the wider Operations team to ensure the efficient, supportive, and compliant culture of Veganuary. 

Core Responsibilities

Recruitment

• Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, contacting candidates, arranging interviews and onboarding

Recruitment Process

Our recruitment process normally takes 2- 3 weeks and usually consists of 4 stages as follows:

1. A job specific pre interview task (to be completed between 23rd - 26th September 2024)

We’re lucky enough to receive many amazing applications for our roles and it’s sometimes difficult to select a small number of people to interview. By having a pre interview task, it allows us to learn more about our shortlisted candidates than a CV and cover letter can tell us.

2. A first interview with the hiring manager and one other team member (Interviews will take place on 30th September 2024)

3. A timed trial task (to be completed between 1st – 3rd October 2024)

You will be given a job specific task to be completed with a short window of time at a time agreed with our HR team.

Responsibilities and Person Specification:

Working alongside two other Advice and Support Managers, this role will share responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of Independent Age’s new Advice and Support Service, and lead on Evaluation and Impact. The service is delivered by telephone, email and webchat and involved a duty service, appointments and casework, targeted at older people in or facing financial hardship. We give information, advice and support to a specialist level, relating to Welfare Benefits, Social Care, Housing and other issues.

As Evaluation and Impact lead, you will be responsible for data collection and reporting, outcome and impact measurement, case studies and providing evidence to our Policy and Influencing colleagues. 

You should have experience of managing a high-volume telephone-based information or advice service and strong leadership skills to create a work environment where people can thrive. You will have experience of working within an advice context (ideally AQS accredited) and knowledge of the main issues affecting older people.

Salary information:

Hybrid working in London: £43,812 per year, increasing to £45,019 after 6 months and to £46,227 after 12 months. 

Homebased (with regular travel to London): £39,454 per year, increasing to £40,530 after 6 months and to £41,607 after 12 months.

This is an exciting opportunity to help Good Company realise it’s vision of creating a poverty-free future for our community through the development and delivery of an effective fundraising strategy.

Main responsibilities

· Development and implementation of a fundraising strategy including a portfolio aimed at generating in the region of £500,000 per annum, building on existing fundraising activities and developing new fundraising initiatives.

· Use the portfolio indicators to enable us to make informed projections regarding future income.

· Be proactive in identifying, engaging and building good relationships with prospective corporate donors, successfully securing them as funding partners. Deepen our engagement and grow our relationship with existing corporate donors.

· Work with the team to develop our church and faith partnerships to ensure these are increased, ongoing and become regular supporters.

· Explore and implement ways of promoting Good Company and its projects to successfully attract individual donors, some of which will be in the high value supporters' field alongside provide regular communications to current funders and run one off campaigns.

· Explore and increase our income from grant giving trusts and foundations. At times working in fundraising partnerships with support of external consultants and colleagues across the wider Trussell Trust network

· Implement a CRM system to oversee the above aspects.

· Share best practice and learning from other charities across the Trussell network.

· Support our partnership work with other Trussell based foodbanks in Surrey to address poverty.

Through this new organisational role, you will proactively create and grow fundraising income opportunities with individuals, community groups, the faith sector and grant giving trusts and foundations. You'll be at the heart of our local community, bringing our cause to life and building lasting donor relationships.

Through your fundraising expertise, you will have a proven track record of building relationships with individuals, community groups, trusts and foundations and other donors to achieve and exceed annual income targets. You’ll have the capacity to create and craft compelling proposals and appeals that successfully engage and attract donations from new and existing supporters.

In this role you’ll be both strategic and hands-on, solely managing the financial controls for this small charity with a £350k annual turnover.  You will support the Director and senior management team through your management of financial processes, policy and planning.

This will include using accountancy software to process income and expenditure, producing management accounts for the senior management team and Board, and ensuring the charity reports to its key funders, including Arts Council England. 

You’ll process payroll for our small team of 6 employees, taking care of liaison with HMRC as well as handling external audit and company filing.

Unfazed by working mostly alone, you’ll be incredibly organised with your time and workload to ensure processes are handled in a timely and accurate fashion. Ideally, you’ll be passionate about the work that we do both as a professional arts organisation and also as a small charity based in Bedfordshire with altruistic values.

You’ll have experience of working with small organisations and charities, knowledgeable about the areas of financial control that you will be our expert on.

The role is an employee position for one day per week, however we are open to discuss flexibility of working hours and the possibility of freelance working with the successful candidate.

Terms and Conditions   

Hours of Work: 7.5 hours per week (1 day).  These hours can be worked flexibly.

Starlight is the national charity transforming children’s health through play. We work 
to ensure that every child can benefit from the incredible power of play, supporting 
their mental and physical health during treatment and recovery from illness.
Play is not just a ‘nice to have’, without play, children can experience short, and 
long-term problems. In fact, it’s so important, that being able to engage in play is 
one of the human rights listed in the UN’s Convention on the Rights of the Child.
Without play, problems faced can range from anxiety around having blood tests 
which could mean appointments being abandoned and rescheduled, to developing 
PTSD and a fear around visiting hospitals and healthcare settings. It’s not 
uncommon for health play specialists to have to meet children in the car park as 
they are too scared to even set foot inside the hospital.
Each year, there are nearly 1.8 million child hospital admissions in the UK and 
nearly three-quarters (71%) of NHS trusts and health boards do not have any 
budget for play.

This is simply not good enough; we think that play in healthcare is non-negotiable.
Driven by our research and insights into what works best for them, we provide direct 
services and resources for children and their families; and to the health 
professionals working with them. We also advocate for more and better health play 
services in public policy; and promote the full recognition of health play practitioners 
as an integral component of the children’s health workforce.
Our Health Play Services Delivery team provide physical and digital materials and 
resources which support the delivery of health play to practitioners and families. 
These are informed by insight, evidence and evaluation from our Insight and Impact 
Team.
Central to these materials and resources is our range of Boxes which contain toys 
and activities specifically selected to help children relax, distract, and engage to 
ensure their treatment can be carried out as quickly and effectively as possible with 
minimal stress. 
The current Health Play Services Delivery Manager is about to be seconded to a 
new Commercial Development role, initially for 6-months, as we shape the 
development of a new source of income for Starlight through paid for services. 
There may be the possibility of an extension to this contract depending upon the 
outcome of the secondment.
The Health Play Services Delivery Manager, reporting to our Head of Play leads the 
end-to-end process of our services. You’ll need experience in the operational 
management of service delivery and experience of working with the NHS and in 
children’s services would be an advantage. You’ll work across all areas from 
procurement through stock control to the logistics of delivery and you’ll build 
relationships internally and externally to ensure efficient, effective, high quality 
service delivery and excellent customer relationship management. Reporting 
directly to the Head of Play, you’ll manage the Service Delivery Co-ordinator and
the Service Data Officer within the Hospital Services Team.

We are looking for a Research Partnerships Manager to join our award-winning and ambitious type 1 diabetes charity, JDRF, as part of the Research Partnerships Team.

As our Research Partnerships Manager, you will work closely with the Director of Research Partnerships to build alliances and leverage funds from organisations with similar strategic interests, including those outside the diabetes field. You will also support the Director of Research Partnerships in working with colleagues across our international network to maximise opportunities for international collaboration and coordination.

This role will also work with the UK type 1 diabetes research community to identify new opportunities and provide support and encouragement in making best use of funding opportunities relevant to type 1 diabetes.

About the Role

Our structured programmes of volunteering, physical and skills-based challenges inspire, guide, and encourage young people to widen their experiences and learn new skills.

Through a licensing process, we partner with youth organisations and support them in their delivery of our programmes to their young people. These organisations range from schools and colleges to local authorities, charities, secure units, and community organisations.

What is the role?

This a 12 Month Maternity contract.

Working within our values and behavioural framework, the role involves closely managing the relationships of our partner organisations (known as Licensed Organisations – LOs) and ensuring those within your portfolio offer quality and inclusive DofE programmes to young people.

While managing these relationships across your portfolio area in Newcastle, Northumberland and South Tyneside, you will also identify and develop new relationships with appropriate educational and community organisations to widen the access of the DofE to young people, particularly those who experience marginalisation.

You will be undertaking regular meetings, in person and virtually, engaging with a wide variety of stakeholders at different levels within different organisations across your portfolio area. When not out at meetings, you will be working from home.

Role Description

We are looking for a senior leader, with extensive experience in education project and/or programme management, who can lead a fast-growing team within a mission-driven organisation. You will be a core member of the Executive Leadership Team, in particular working closely with the interim CEO, the Chief Operations Officer, the Director of Impact and the charity’s Senior Programmes Leaders. You will have direct exposure to the Board of Trustees and the unique opportunity to fundamentally shape the organisation and its direction.

The Chief Programmes Officer will be responsible for all aspects of programme delivery, including providing strategic direction and day-to-day oversight of the programmes delivery team, business development and stakeholder management with new partners in further education, and reviewing and improving delivery across all our programmes. You will work closely with the Director of Impact to refine and implement our approach to programme quality and impact to ensure we are providing the most effective programmes for the students we support. You will play a leadership role in the overall direction of the charity and work with the CEO, the Chief Operations Officer and the Director of Impact to ensure that the systems, processes, and ways of working for the Programmes Team are in place to ensure effective programme delivery.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Executive Leadership

• Working closely with the CEO, the Chief Operations Officer and the Director of Impact to provide overall leadership for the organisation, deliver the organisation’s new five-year strategy, and embed its values.
• Regularly updating the board on programme delivery and developments through participation in full Board and subcommittee meetings.

Business development and sales:

• Planning, leading and engaging in sales activity to ensure Get Further meets its goals for growth in terms of college partnerships and student numbers and secures new partnerships in key regions and areas for expansion.
• Line managing Senior Programmes Leaders, supporting their development and the delivery of KPIs with regards to college sales and renewals.

Programme delivery:

• Strategic leadership of the Programmes Team (currently a team of 10 full-time staff), including ensuring that the team has the culture, working environment and professional development opportunities to ensure they are well-equipped to deliver high quality programmes and to meet our delivery KPIs.
• Overseeing efficient delivery of every aspect of each programme cycle, from liaising with the Chief Operations Officer to set and ensure achievement of targets for recruiting and training tutors, to leading the team to deliver on tuition logistics (including clear and timely student, tutor and college communications), and reporting on our impact to our partners in further education, ensuring programmes are high-quality and impactful for students and partners.
• Identifying and rolling out developments to programme delivery that help to improve our ways of working at scale, to enable the team to deliver now and in the future.

• Working closely with Get Further’s Director of Impact and the wider Impact Team to develop and deliver our processes for monitoring and evaluating the impact of our programmes, including communicating our results with existing and potential partners in further education to support the charity to meet its wider objectives.
• Ensuring Get Further’s approach to curriculum, assessment and tutor training continue to develop and improve with insights from our impact data, including line management of our Maths and English Curriculum Managers.
• Holding the relationship with Get Further’s subject advisory groups.

External relationships:

Person Specification

About Black Thrive 

Black Thrive Global (BTG) evolved from the work of the Black Thrive Lambeth Partnership, which was established in 2016. We exist to address the inequalities that negatively impact the mental health and wellbeing of Black people so that the thriving of Black communities is the norm. 

Our guiding principle is that Black communities should be at the forefront of reimagining, redefining and co-creating a society where systemic racism and other oppressive systems have been dismantled so that they have fulfilling lives. We have two priorities – building a Black Thrive Research Institute and embedding race equity in systems change. 
 
In September 2021 we launched our Thriving Futures Collective which has expanded the work of Black Thrive Lambeth and launched Black Thrive in Haringey and Birmingham, with Mind in Haringey and Catalyst4Change as our partners. 

We have grown rapidly since 2021 and so still have a start-up culture and often deal with competing priorities at a fast pace. Purpose of the role 

As the Programme and Partnerships Manager = Thriving Futures, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the implementation of the Thriving Futures programme, ensuring effective collaboration with partner organisations to advance Black Thrive’s mission. Relationship building with the localities teams is an important element of the role. 

The Thriving Futures workstream is undergoing a strategic shift, focusing on key areas identified during its three years of operation. This includes intentional co-learning, community feedback through Black Thrive Community Assemblies, development of community metrics, and refining our role and offerings as a backbone organisation. 
 
The role entails managing the programme’s day to day activities, ensuring alignment with the programme's objectives and goals, procuring additional funding resources and managing a Project Officer. You can anticipate working with different combinations of Black Thrive locality workstreams. The role also has responsibility for assisting in writing and delivering grant applications and bids to major funders to secure funding to support the work of the programme.
