Job Purpose

· To manage the delivery of Young Marketeers in Barnsley in eight primary schools

Background to School Food Matters

School Food Matters (SFM) exists to teach children about food and to improve children’s access to healthy, sustainable food during their time at school. We provide fully funded food education programmes to schools. Our experience delivering these programmes informs and strengthens our campaigns, bringing the voices of children, parents and teachers to government policy.

Young Marketeers

This much-loved programme was started in London in 2012. It is now running in 16 cities across England and is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund for three years.  The programme provides hands-on opportunities for children from primary schools to grow fruit and veg from seed to sell at their local market. Young Marketeers is also a platform for School Food Matters to promote food education to schools and communities as a way to support children to live happy and healthy lives.  Children learn the art of growing veg from seed, and market traders will share their secrets on how to create a winning market stall.  Primary schools will be visited by our gardener in March/April and then again in May/June and receive further tips on how to ensure a bumper crop. And in July, they head to the market to sell their produce, and to meet the mayor!

Key Tasks include:

· Assist with recruitment of eight schools to take part in Young Marketeers

· Build and maintain relationships with teachers, teaching assistants and senior leaders to ensure the smooth running of the project

· Build and support relationships with contacts in partner organisations

· Schedule, organise and deliver

o One assembly in each school

o Two food growing sessions in each school

o One market trader training session in each school

o Market Day in the city centre in July for all schools

· Maintain accurate records relating to the programme

• Complete monitoring and evaluation forms in accordance with instructions from our Evaluation team
• Take photos of workshops and events where possible
• Keep Project Coordinator fully updated on progress

· Keep up to date with safeguarding requirements and reporting procedures

The Role

As an Arboricultural Officer, you will survey and record all aspects of the tree stock to protect the natural landscape and maintain a safe environment for our visitors.

Carrying out accurate tree inspections, you’ll diagnose and assess the impacts of injury, decay and structural defects. You’ll support the mitigation and management of pests and diseases, particularly Massaria of London Plane and Oak Processionary Moth.

You’ll also work with the Wildlife and Conservation Officers to develop and implement park strategies and management plans and to create and maintain critical wildlife habitats.

About You

To be considered as an Arboricultural Officer, you will need:

• An understanding of nature conservation issues, SSSI status and protected species legislation relating to Arboriculture and trees

We are seeking a Finance Assistant with excellent numerical skills and attention to detail, and good inter-personal skills to join our friendly Finance Team of Yeldall Manor. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for helping others to join a Christian organisation dedicated to supporting men in their recovery journey.

As the Finance Assistant, you will assist with accounts payable/receivable and bank/cash reconciliations, and assist the Finance Team with administrative tasks using Excel (and accounts software). You will support our residents in the management of their money and benefits and accompany them to relevant appointments.

We are looking for a well-organised and caring professional with excellent administration skills to support our Healthcare Coordinator in overseeing the medication and healthcare needs of our male residents as they progress through their recovery from drug or alcohol abuse.

The role involves both administrative and practical tasks, as well as direct involvement in helping residents manage their own healthcare needs alongside supporting their wider recovery and spiritual growth.

You will maintain safe Medication Management within Yeldall Manor, ensuring that all medication including new supplies, is correctly administered, recorded accurately, and regularly audited, investigating and resolving any discrepancies. With the Healthcare Coordinator, you will assist the residents in accessing GP and specialist services, and ensuring that up to date electronic records are maintained of all healthcare matters for residents.

You will have excellent administrative and IT skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with medical professionals, along with a commitment to providing high-quality and compassionate care and support. Medical knowledge may be advantageous, but is not a necessity for this role.

The post-holder will play a key role within the Initiatives and Partnerships team, working with regional teams to develop and implement proposals to expand use of historic churches in our existing estate and, on occasion, working with other heritage and community groups to deliver their own projects via consultancy or partnership work.   

 They will manage a programme of work that will include a number of site-specific projects and national initiatives across multiple sites, as well as from time to time working with third parties on partnership or consultancy projects.   

The Commercial Initiatives Officer is responsible for the development and delivery of CCT’s commercial initiatives, including Champing and Filming, that involve multiple sites, as well as any future such schemes. The role will line manage the Customer Service and Admin Assistant, Champing who is responsible for the day-to-day delivery of Champing. The post-holder will also work closely with colleagues in conservation and regional teams to make sure that impacts on both areas are fully considered, whilst in tandem seeking to maximise opportunities to expand and increase commercial activity, income and ultimately profitability.

Camp Jojo is currently in transition. Over the first 8 years it has worked from one established site in Mersea, Essex; but we are now opening a second site near Appleby in Cumbria. The role of Program Manager will work across the whole organisation, towards the successful development of the values and the proven model in a second site; and its partnership with the Essex site will be an important part of the role.

Camp Jojo is growing from a young, largely trustee led, organisation to a staff team led organisation. Again this role will be a fundamental part of that transition. This is a predominantly an operational post, and not responsible for the finances of organisation, though it will deliver operations within the board approved budget. They will also sit on, or chair, several of the Committees of the charity; including the Senior Operations Team.

The role will offer leadership to key functions of Camp Jojo, Camp Jojo staff and contractors, and to members of the Camp Jojo Board, in relation to the work of the charity. Whilst the majority of the work will be remote the incumbent will be required to attend some meetings and events in person, including at both sites. They will also be required to attend at least part of the actual camp events. They may need to work flexibly, according to the seasonal demands of the charity.

The Program Manager will have a varied and sometimes high-pace job environment. As such, they will need to handle multiple tasks, manage their own time well, interact professionally with the Camp Jojo community and be very good communicators. They will deal with model consistency, values, and operational issues across both sites.

Join a groundbreaking initiative at the intersection of digital creativity and AI.

My client is part of the UK cultural sector and is currently working in partnership with government on a new and ambitious initiative. It is seeking to create a new online platform to empower digital creators to license and commercialise their work to AL developers and innovators.

At the very beginning of this exciting enterprise, my client is assembling a small, dynamic project team to deliver a pilot platform, investigating assumptions, commerciality and scalable access.

As such they are looking for a Financial Planning & Analysis Project Lead who can take responsibility for evaluating the commercial model and pricing.

Reporting into the Project Director key responsibilities will include:

• Develop and present strategic modelling options within a developed finance framework including best, worst and base case.
• Using dynamic financial models which can be adjusted to reflect and stress test different scenarios.
• Effectively use analysis to identify variation from expectations and proactively develop alternative routes to course correct or optimise.
• Develop and implement financial planning and budgeting processes for the project.
• Collaborate with the project team to integrate financial considerations into business decisions and development plans.

The successful candidate will be a fully qualified Accountant who thrives in ambiguity and startup-like environments. Ideally coming from the technology/ digital sector, you will be an expert in complex commercial analysis and financial planning. Excellent stakeholder engagement and communications skills required.
