Working Well is a mental health and employment charity in London. All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of people with mental health, learning disabilities, neurodiversity, and/or complex issues through training and employment.

We are recruiting a full-time Employment Support Worker for our supported employment team in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames. This is a permanent role. The post holder will carry a caseload of clients who may have one or more support needs including:

• Learning Disabilities

• Autism 

• Mental Health

The focus of the role is to support clients to achieve their employment goals, engaging with employers and training providers to secure vocational outcomes in line with client preferences.

Experience of employment support is not essential, it is more important that you share our commitment to supporting people to find the right job for them. Experience working with individuals affected by learning disabilities and autism would be beneficial. The successful candidate must be comfortable in approaching employers, persuading them to use our service, and working with them to recruit our clients to fill vacancies and sustain employment.

You will work closely with referring teams, providing a coordinated approach that always remains client led.  You will also be in working to targets whilst maintaining a high-quality service. 

We are operating a hybrid working model in our Kingston team, with a combination of working from home and in the community with a required 3 days per week spent in our Kingston office.

The role and your key responsibilities

As a Partner Success Lead your role is to provide world class customer service to our partner base of over 2,500 schools and colleges. You will be responsible for onboarding our new schools and supporting our existing schools to make the most of the Unifrog platform. Solutions and customer service focused, you will make sure that all interactions with Unifrog are prompt, positive and successful. 

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Partner management

• Being the first point of contact for enquiries from our existing 2,500+ partners.

• Onboarding our new schools by setting them up on our platform and making sure teachers and students are ready to get the most out of Unifrog.

• Continually improving our onboarding materials and processes using feedback from our partners.

• Partner training and support

• Training staff remotely on how to use the platform.

• Troubleshooting issues and providing on-the-spot support via phone, email and video calls.

• Ad hoc tasks

• Leading on and supporting a variety of other projects across other parts of the business during quieter periods.

• Proactively working to foster a sense of community amongst our Unifrog partners and always thinking about how we can promote the sharing and embedding of Unifrog best practice across our partner schools.

• Supporting the team with general admin.

The LSO Development department is looking for a knowledgeable and self-motivated individual to join our team as Trusts & Foundations Officer at an exciting time in the LSO’s history. Reporting to the Trusts & Foundations Manager, the role will primarily work within the Trusts and Foundations team to establish and maintain relationships with grant-giving bodies to help meet and grow income targets. About you

Experience in fundraising from trusts, foundations and other grant-giving bodies is essential for this role, alongside strong communication skills, high attention to detail and a passion for creating concise and compelling written copy.  An interest in orchestral/classical music is desirable.

8. To oversee the set up and settling in of jobseekers into work placements, when needed. Providing support and training to employers where required; providing personalised on the job training to participants and employers as required and develop strategies and advise on reasonable adjustments.

9. To coach, train and help manage new project staff to support jobseekers and put in place monitoring protocols.

10.  To ensure jobseekers are progressing towards their individual targets; understand protocols and interpret work culture correctly; understand the health & safety in the work environment and adopt appropriate workplace behaviour.

11.  To ensure good working relationships are maintained with all employers/ work experience placements and that feedback is regularly sort from all stakeholders to help improve our service delivery and future opportunities.

12.  As a key member of the Development Team to work closely with the Development Director to actively, engage with employers and external organisations to promote CareTrade and our job seekers and to pursue opportunities to work collaboratively.

13.  To attend events, to market CareTrade to autistic jobseekers and to liaise with Disability Employment Advisors at JobCentre Plus, Disability Services teams, Social Workers and others to promote and support employment opportunities as needed.

15.  To collect data and use data analysis to help produce reports, internally, for funders and partners.

The Regional Communications Officer role is an exciting, varied position working with Emmaus communities located in the South East region of the UK to increase their profile and engage supporters.

This is a part time position working four days per week (30 hours), Monday to Friday.

Within this role, you can be based at home or in an Emmaus community. Wherever you are based, maintaining positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders is vitally important.  The current patch for this role is Emmaus Brighton & Hove, Emmaus Greenwich and Emmaus Dover. Regular travel to these three communities will be required (usually one community visit per week). Travel to team meetings, usually held in Birmingham, and other locations will also be required on occasion.

Who are we looking for?

We require someone with a strong skillset and at least two years’ experience working in a busy communications, public relations or marketing role. Although not essential, knowledge and understanding of homelessness and the charity sector would also be an advantage.

Creativity and passion are a must. You will have a broad range of communications skills, love seeing your creative ideas come to life and keen to develop your skillset within a national homelessness charity.

FST is a charity and alternative education provider. We have been delivering practical and emotional support, as well as education for vulnerable young people for nearly 20 years. Working closely with schools, PRU’s, local authorities and other youth professionals day to day. We care for, empower, and give hope to our young people to realise their own potential. To be part of our success and our FST team, you must have a passion for working directly with young people, delivering a lasting, positive impact to their lives. 

Main aim of the role: 

Playing a vital role within our expanding youth support team at Future Skills, you will work to support and empower our young people to re-engage and return to education and employment. You will be creating structured lesson plans to deliver high quality soft skills sessions. You will be proactive and get involved with the pupil’s daily activities, promoting teamwork and setting a good example. You will also build positive relationships with the young people, fellow professionals, parents and carers as this is key to this role.

In addition to that, you will work with the team here at Caius House to help deliver an after-school programme for young people, usually one evening per week. To this effect, you will work with both the FST team and the team on-site at Caius House. 

You will be joining a vibrant team that is committed to our young people's social and educational development. We give our team all the opportunities to be creative with the work that we do. We are an expanding organisation that is moving towards further growth in the alternative provision sector.

The post holder will be responsible for: 

• Working with colleagues to develop a soft skills curriculum for our group and one to one sessions.

• Actively participating in the sessions we deliver including off-site trips and sporting activities.

• Undertaking one-to-one and small group mentoring with vulnerable and at-risk young people aged 8-16 years old.

• Working with the FST team delivering personal and social development workshops with excluded young people, encouraging them to engage and develop and challenging negative behaviours.

• Building relationships and regularly communicating with parents/carers and professionals.

• Building positive relationships with children and young people with social, emotional and mental health needs, inspiring and motivating them, acting as a positive role model at all times.

• Bringing passion, ideas, creativity, energy and strategies to all projects.

• Demonstrating understanding of the issues faced by children and young people.

• Keeping accurate records of attendance and session evaluations using our online database system.

• Having an active role in our regular team meetings.

• Complying with the organisational requirements for health and safety, child protection, safeguarding and other policies and procedures.

The post holder should possess:
 

• Previous experience of working with vulnerable, at risk and disengaged children and young people 

• A passion for building relationships with children and young people and helping them grow and develop.

• Experience of building partnerships with other organisations and communicating with professionals as well as parents and carers

• Knowledge of formal and informal education systems.

• Ability to be flexible and adaptable, reliable and innovative.

• Ability to work under pressure, be self-motivated and driven to succeed

• Well-developed people skills and excellent organisational skills. 

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

The Educational Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) Programme is a one-year postgraduate diploma course which is part of the child mental health workforce development programme.  The course started in January 2019 to train graduate entry practitioners to the child and young people mental health workforce. It is a key part of the Green Paper proposals to establish mental health workers in schools and contribute to increasing the workforce set out by the government by 2025.

The Course Tutor will support teaching delivery on the Pg Dip in Educational Mental Health Practitioner programme. Subject to candidate availability and interest, there is also an opportunity for the postholder to support the delivery of other low intensity and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)-based trainings offered within Postgraduate Studies at the Centre.

The ideal candidate will have a recognised qualification in a core mental health profession of Clinical Psychology, Child Psychotherapy, Family Therapy or Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and/ or have specific training in CBT. The post-holder will also need to have experience working with children, young people, and families with psychological/emotional difficulties in a mental health service and/ or educational setting.
