The Teacher Development Trust (TDT) is an established and fast-growing charity based in London that is dedicated to improving the educational outcomes for children by raising the quality of teachers’ professional development.
To meet the needs of a range of school leadership programmes we are now seeking an Assessment and Data Officer to coordinate and ensure the success of our NPQ Assessments, whilst also supporting the administration of the Teacher Development Trust and its programmes.
This is an exciting opportunity in a fast-growing and influential education charity. We're looking for a proactive, confident communicator with an understanding of the education landscape to join our team in supporting our existing services and programmes. We have an excellent track record of staff developing within the charity, as well as staff who have developed their careers into schools, other charities, and the public sector.
Key responsibilities

Liaise with TDT’s Delivery Partners to ensure all eligible NPQ participants submit an assessment within the required timeframe

Support participants and assessors through the assessment process, ensuring queries are responded to promptly and effectively

Ensure submitted assessments are received in the correct format
-
Upload assessments to markers and moderators, ensuring conflict of interest rules are adhered to
-
Be the main contact for our marking and plagiarism partners
-
Ensure marks are received back in a timely manner
-
Ensure marks are sent back to participants within the required timeframe

Ensure assessment marks and participant retention information is sent to and received by the Department for Education
-
Troubleshoot queries and/or non-standard assessments (e.g. dealing with accessibility issues)

To manage deferrals, appeals, resit requests and complaints relating to assessment.

Work with the Department for Education nominated external moderator (Tribal)
Required skills

Title: Administrator - Operative (known internally as Christmas Operative)
Location: Crisis Birmingham Skylight (B9)/Warehouse in Birmingham. From September to November you’ll be mainly office based, and from November through to Christmas you’ll work across Birmingham, including the warehouse.
About the role
Birmingham’s Crisis at Christmas has grown from strength to strength throughout the past 8 years of operating. Due to our developments, we are excited to have a third role into our Christmas team.
As an Administrator – Operative, you will be responsible for co-ordinating the warehouse site, including the co-ordination and collection of donations. This role will involve meeting new people, be that donors, volunteers or guests. One day you might spend the day driving around Birmingham collecting donated items (think: Mince Pies, Shower Gel and Face Masks), and the next you might be supervising a team of volunteers who have come to sort and pack at the warehouse.
Another key part of your role is supporting the Christmas team in administration tasks – including organising delivery addresses and completing route planning, supporting with the sign up of guests and keeping a detailed track of our donated items.
There will also be the opportunity to develop your skills, depending on your specific interests and career progression plans – with opportunities to take on leadership roles, work with the UK-wide team and have coaching/mentoring.
About you
To be successful in this role you will be well-organised, have strong communication skills and want to work in a team whose aims are to provide an inclusive Christmas for our guests.
To ensure the smooth-running of Birmingham’s Crisis at Christmas, you will have a good attention to detail and understanding of health and safety procedures.
In this role you will be experienced with IT, specifically with the use of Microsoft office (word, excel and outlook) and online meeting applications (e.g. Zoom).
Please note, it is a requirement for the role to be able to drive our hire van. Our insurers require that you have a full driving licence, are between the ages of 23-65, and have no more than 3 points on your driving licence.

The Role
The role of Administrator - Theology and Counselling Programme has been designed to support Faculty and Registry to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of the Theology and Counselling Programme and associated activities. The duties of the post-holder can be summarised from two perspectives, Registry activities and Programme activities.

Job Purpose:
- To plan and implement high quality support and advocacy services for women affected by domestic violence who are deemed as being high risk
- To work within a multi-agency framework to ensure the safety of women is prioritised.
Responsible To: Safety Unit Manager
Duties and Responsibilities:
Support work:
- To recognise women and children’s individual needs, providing a short to medium term service to meet those needs
- To support the empowerment of the service user and facilitate their understanding of the dynamics of domestic violence
- To carry out risk assessment and safety planning with women
- To promote women’s safety within multi-agency arenas such as MARAC and Drive meetings
- To work with women to access services to help keep them and their children safe
- To facilitate access to BSWA and its services
- To devise and implement appropriate and safe methods of communication with women and children, in agreement with your line manager
Development:
- To keep up to date with current legislative changes for dissemination within staff team, and for use when working with women and children around their rights.
- To identify and make links with existing projects and community services and to develop joint services where appropriate
- To keep abreast of issues regarding domestic violence on a national and local level with particular reference to those that may affect the work of the service
- To promote awareness of the impact of domestic violence on women and children and BSWA services
- To participate in multi agency work as agreed with your line manager
Administration:
- To work within BSWA’s administrative and financial systems
- To ensure that clear and accurate records are kept for all service users
- To ensure that Health and Safety records are kept up to date
- To produce monthly reports for your line manager
- To monitor and evaluate the MARAC IDVA and Drive Service, via various methods including feedback from service users and produce statistical information
Communication:
- To ensure that all staff team members are aware of any matters that are relevant to the welfare and security of the project, staff, volunteers and service users by:
- Maintaining BSWA communication records
- Following safety procedures
- Attending team meetings
- Carrying out risk assessments in conjunction with your line manager
- To attend in-house training
- To identify and attend training and conferences relevant to the post, in agreement with your line manager
- To attend support and supervision sessions with your line manager
- To develop a professional working relationship with external agencies
- Feedback relevant issues from external meetings/ training to the staff and management teams as appropriate
- To be involved in the Annual Review process
General:
- To maintain the confidentiality of the women and children using the service and in all matters relating to the organisation

- To work within BSWA policies and procedures and demonstrate a commitment to the values and ethos of BSWA
- To work within BSWA and local multi-agency child and adult safeguarding procedures.

We are looking for an exceptional candidate to join our small team as a General Office Administrator. You will facilitate the efficient running of the office alongside offering support to the team with administrative duties to ensure the successful implementation of the charitable objectives.
Based primarily in our new Ludlow office, you will support the smooth running of our services, working closely with the Operations Manager and small staff team on all aspects of charity administration.
Duties and responsibilities will include
- Ensure the Helpline phone is always answered, resulting activity documented and actioned or passed to the relevant person.
- Welcome visitors to Hands Together, making them comfortable and immediately putting them at ease.
- Supporting volunteers and potential volunteers with enquiries.
- Data inputting and filing, ensuring our databases/spreadsheets and records are up-to-date and accurate.
- Electronic distribution of newsletters and other marketing materials along with maintaining contact and distribution lists in line with GDPR.
- Support the Operations Manager and Finance Officer with administrative tasks.
- Support with creating social media posts from the calendar and scheduling posts.
- Supporting the administration, planning and delivery of events.
- Adding new files and other updates to the website, e.g., PDF’s
- Minute taking and distribution.
- General charity administration and office tasks.
This is a new role and we expect it to grow and develop with you and with the charity.
Person Specification
As we are a small team, your role will include plenty of opportunities to develop a wide range of skills across all aspects of our work, and to provide essential support to our busy team.
You will have excellent computer skills, empathy and understanding and be organised, systematic and bring a dynamic and proactive working style to the team.
