Phoenix Futures is looking to recruit a passionate and solution focussed Recovery worker as part of our Non-Opiate team in Lambeth. As a Recovery worker you will have both intervention duties alongside managing your own caseload. You will be providing harm reduction to those with substance misuse issues and supporting in their recovery through relapse prevention and care planning. You will also act as an advocate for these service users, signposting and referring to the necessary agencies in order to support them in their recovery holistically
As a Recovery worker you will have knowledge of recovery, care planning and relapse prevention activities and will have the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external agencies.
As an individual, we are looking for someone who is self-motivated, can work on their own initiative, but more importantly, as part of a team. You will need good communication and organisational skills. Successful candidates will be dynamic and forward thinking with keen insight into preventative and early intervention methods. The ideal candidate will have experience working with vulnerable adults presenting with substance, alcohol and associated issues as well as an understanding of the custodial support available.

Support work:
- To recognise women and children’s individual needs, providing a short to medium term service to meet those needs

Communication:

Main Responsibilities

The Role
This is a great opportunity to join GamCare as a Gambling Treatment Practitioners with qualifications or experience in health or social care, and an empathic style to enable people to change their behaviour through skilled intervention.
As the successful candidate you’ll deliver a range of face to face (as required), telephone and online interventions to support people affected by gambling harms at all stages of their treatment and recovery journey, including in a range of community based and custodial settings (as required).
Crucially, you will ensure that psychosocial, and recovery support interventions are delivered as part of cohesive recovery plan while working collaboratively with external and partner organisations to achieve positive outcomes for service users.
You should have significant experience in individual client work in the field of addictions, mental health or a social care setting with adults or young people. You should be flexible in using a range of low and high-intensity interventions and modalities including Cognitive Behavioural (CBT) tools.
We are looking for a great candidate to work full-time which will include 3 days 9-5pm and 2 days 12-8pm per week (fixed), Monday to Friday and potentially occasional Saturdays (9-2pm remotely) but negotiable.

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated, creative and resilient practitioner who has a track record of excellent clinical skills to join our expanding Systemic Integrative Treatment team (SIT). The postholder will provide SIT in the community for parents and carers of children aged 8-16, displaying moderate to severe behavioural difficulties, such as offending, school refusal and harmful sexual behaviour. The postholder will work within a social-ecological model, drawing on a range of therapeutic modalities including pragmatic family therapies, behavioural therapy, CBT, and other therapies as appropriate.
We are looking for experienced practitioners who share our passion for delivering intensive treatment to keep young people at home, in education and out of the criminal justice system. We are particularly interested in those who have experience of working to address behaviour across multiple systems including family, peers, school and community. Post holders will join a supportive and friendly team. Weekly group supervision and intensive training in the SIT model will be provided.
ABOUT THE BRANDON CENTRE
The principal objective of the Brandon Centre has always been to provide a professional, accessible and flexible service which responds to the psychological, medical, sexual and social needs of young people under the age of 25.

ABOUT THE MODEL
Brandon Centre Systemic Integrative Treatment (BC-SIT) has been developed in accordance with NICE guidelines to treat antisocial and/ or harmful behaviour in children and adolescents. It is an intensive community-based family treatment model which works with the systems around the young person, including family, school and peers to address the causal and maintaining factors to the behaviour. Therapists work primarily with parents, in a collaborative and non-judgemental way, to empower them to effect change. This is achieved by building on their strengths and providing families with the tools and confidence to navigate current and future problems and reduce the risk of further antisocial/ harmful. There are two phases to the intervention: phase 1 is intensive treatment delivery, which will include 2 - 3 visits per week and can last up to 6 months; phase 2 is delivered by a designated phase 2 SIT therapist and can extend total treatment time to 1 year, and includes monthly sessions with the family, attendance at professional meetings, and ongoing consultation with key professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct SIT assessment in collaboration with SIT supervisor including review of referral information, identifying and engaging key participants, identifying systemic strengths and weaknesses, and developing the SIT formulation of problematic behaviours within the ecological context.
- Implement a systemic formulation, treatment planning, intervention implementation, outcome review and strategy revision using the SIT assessment & intervention model (AIM).
- To have a caseload of 4 families, delivering SIT intervention.
- As part of the SIT model, deliver evidence based psychological interventions which will include behavioural therapy, pragmatic family therapy & CBT.
- Engage primary caregiver and other key participants in active change-oriented treatment by continuously identifying and overcoming barriers to engagement and alignment with intervention.
- During phase one of the treatment, meet with the family approx. 2 – 3 times per week to provide direct treatment using methods compatible with SIT
- Maintain clear and concise documentation of treatment that promotes peer and supervisory review and feedback, and that demonstrate compliance with the SIT Principles and the SIT AIM.
- Collaborate with all relevant systems and key participants within each system to ensure their buy-in and cooperation throughout SIT treatment.
- Work collaboratively with other services involved with the family, attending and participating in meetings such as Child Protection Conferences, Core Group meetings.
- Prepare reports for Child protection conferences, court and other reports as necessary.

Model Integrity
- Implement SIT using evidence-based models as guided by the SIT Service Lead to meet identified treatment goals and establish positive outcomes for families.
Team and Consultation
- Complete case paperwork weekly on all cases and submit to the supervisor 24 hours prior to supervision.
- Attend weekly group supervision and monthly consultation.
- Come to group supervision and consultation prepared to review all current SIT cases and actively participate in discussion of current cases.

Training and Qualifications
Essential
- Degree and professional qualification in Clinical/Counselling/Forensic Psychology, Social Work, CBT, Occupational Therapy, Systemic Psychotherapy, Mental Health Nursing or equivalent/ related subject area.
- Registration with a relevant professional body. (Please note, individuals with a related undergraduate degree and significant clinical experience may also qualify at the discretion of the centre.)
- Knowledge of child and adolescent development and its application in treatment.
- High level of understanding and experience of safeguarding and managing risk.
- Experience in at least one of the following:
- Direct use of pragmatic (i.e., structural, strategic and functional) family therapies
- Delivering Cognitive Behavioural therapy
- Delivery of Solutions Focused therapy

Women and Girls Network (WGN) is looking for an experienced and dynamic Sexual Violence Helpline Practitioner to join our highly successful Advice & Helpline Team.
As the Helpline Practitioner you will provide validating and transformative emotional support to survivors of sexual violence via WGN’s Sexual Violence Helpline and Web Chat. You will also provide practical and advocacy support, amplify survivors’ voices and create a non-judgemental and validating space where survivors are free to be their authentic selves, are able to safely explore their rights, options and entitlements, and make informed choices about their future.
The Helpline Service provides a trauma-informed, intersectional, woman-centred and strengths based emotional support for survivors on their unique journey of healing and growth. The work is delivered through a commitment to an anti-oppressive, feminist framework that strives to address additional barriers and meet the diverse range of survivors needs.

About the role
The Bristol Rough Sleeping Prevention Service provides a rapid response service, intervening to ensure no one needs to sleep rough. Our work is ongoing and we are currently looking for inspirational people to join our team. As an Assessment and Reconnection Worker, you will:
- Be part of a busy environment, working closely with those affected by rough sleeping, you will carry out comprehensive assessments of people new to, or at risk of rough sleeping
- Able to work confidently in a detached location based in Southmead Hospital and communicate regularly with the wider team
- Provide a personalised case management service to clients, turning assessment recommendations into practical action plans which fully involves the client.
- Build and maintain effective relationships to support clients throughout their recovery
- Work closely with external agencies to ensure all clients’ needs are met. Many of our clients have multiple support needs. This may include complex trauma, substance misuse and mental and physical health support needs.
- Develop a knowledge of relevant legislation such as, welfare benefit and housing legislation.
- While you’ll be usually working from Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm, but occasional work on weekends and early or late hours may occur in response to challenging situations and to prevent rough sleeping.

At Richmond Fellowships Domestic Abuse services, we provide a range of services and interventions for victims and survivors including children and young people, and perpetrators of domestic abuse.

We are currently seeking a dynamic senior domestic abuse practitioner to join our team, working alongside the Birmingham Children’s Trust offering an exemplary and expert advice, guidance and intervention based service.
This is an exciting role that will provide you with the opportunity to play a key role in developing Domestic Abuse services, working in partnerships with a range of statutory and voluntary agencies to deliver effective community responses to domestic abuse, in line with RESPECT practice standards. Day to day, you will be working flexibly, managing a caseload, assessing risk and suitability for intervention, and engaging families and professionals. In this rewarding role you will be providing specialist support to professionals working with families experiencing abuse, through provision of expert consultations and training.
Within this service your role will require you to be co located within social care services, working within a guided intervention model and providing on the ground specialist and expert advice and guidance to professionals in relation to complex cases whereby domestic abuse is present and a concern. Working with professionals you will have the opportunity to share your skillset and inform approaches to working with families where domestic abuse is a feature. You will support professionals specifically to work with resistant and reluctant individuals using harmful behaviour and have constructive and meaningful conversation and engagement with such individuals and affected others. The service will enable safe, assessed, planned and adequate collective responses to domestic abuse, to reduce harm in a safe way for families. Alongside expert consultation and risk assessment will be home visits and joint appointments with professionals to support their safe engagement of identified clients and families for the service.
Direct interventions with perpetrators of domestic abuse will be a key component of your role, delivering flexible and structured brief interventions to those individuals identified as in need and suitable for this element of the service. You will have the opportunity to do this individually and in collaboration with the allocated professional working with the case, with a view to sharing your approach, skills and intervention styles to support professionals with their wider reach of identified cases.
There will be a flexible approach to specialist training and reflective practice, of which you will create, design and deliver to your professional audience, based upon identified need and across all teams within Birmingham Children’s Trust and the organisation.
The role will require you to have a good understanding of domestic abuse, child abuse and trauma, and the impacts of this on individuals lives. As well as a good understanding of the nature of domestic abuse and its effects on victims and survivors, including children, and on the parent-child relationship. You will need experience of providing direct work with people using harmful behaviour and work responding to challenging or harmful behaviour to facilitate change and an excellent understanding of Safeguarding procedures, showing you are confident to work both independently and as part of a team, working closely and collaboratively alongside partner agencies and your peers.
As a senior you will be required to demonstrate a level of autonomy in decision making, particularly relating to case based decisions, escalation requirements and accurate advice to professionals to safely and appropriately support the assessment and management of risk wherever identified. In addition you will be required to support the service in the collation, interrogation and presentation of data related to performance and outputs, as well as representing the service in professional forums such as MARAC, and at community based events to promote the service aims and objectives and encourage access for those who could benefit.
You will be able to work independently and flexibly and will be required to manage your workload and related admin. The role will require you to communicate clearly with a range of people about sensitive and complex issues, including the writing of professional consultations.
