The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Financial Accountant to support the financial accounting and compliance functions of the College.

This is an important role within the Finance team, supporting the College’s mission to improve child health by ensuring the integrity of financial information, robust financial controls, and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

Working closely with the Financial Accountant and wider finance team, you will take responsibility for key accounting processes including payroll, tax, treasury management, and monthly financial reconciliations. You will play a vital role in maintaining accurate and timely financial records, supporting audit preparation, and ensuring that all financial operations run smoothly.

Key responsibilities include:

• Maintaining the integrity of financial systems and ensuring accurate, timely accounting entries and reconciliations
• Supporting the Financial Accountant in preparing key balance sheet reconciliations, including fixed assets, investments, accruals, prepayments and deferred income
• Assisting with internal and external audit processes and the preparation of group statutory accounts
• Processing monthly payroll and pension submissions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements
• Supporting VAT, corporation tax and Gift Aid returns, and ensuring all submissions are completed on time
• Managing banking and treasury activities, including cash flow monitoring and reconciliation of company credit cards
• Providing administrative support for finance systems, including user access and coding updates
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives, including system developments and process efficiency projects

Essential skills and experience:

• Part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CCAB or equivalent)
• Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in financial accounting or operations roles, ideally within the charity, not-for-profit or public sector
• Experience supporting statutory accounting, audit preparation, payroll, pensions and VAT returns
• Strong understanding of financial controls and reconciliation processes
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
• Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and departments
• Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Desirable:

• Knowledge of charity accounting and regulatory requirements, including SORP
• Experience using Business Central or similar ERP/financial systems

ABOUT THE ROLE

Responsible for the day to day running of the Financial Control department, and line managing two Senior Finance Assistants and two Finance Assistants.

Responsible for group reporting requirements for branches and subsidiaries, including assisting with their opening and closing.

Support the stewardship of the finances of ITF Group, including fixed assets, investments and banking. This includes processing and recognising transactions, maintaining schedules, reporting requirements, forecasting cash requirements and liaising with advisors.

Facilitate receipts, payments and expense claims, including checking of expense claims, and checking and recording regional office transactions in ITF Group accounts. Collaborate with and support teams responsible for different income streams, and process transactions on credit cards and prepaid cards, including issuing and closing of cards.

Responsible for employee and employer tax matters for benefits-in-kind that are identified in invoices or expense claims, including preparing the PAYE Settlement Agreement.

Responsible for statutory and regulatory calculations, reports and filing, including Certification Office, Companies House, corporation tax, VAT, gift aid and other taxes, levies, charges and duties.

Prepare for and assist the external audit, and year-end and monthly accounts, and complete allocated balance sheet reconciliations.

Establish and provide appropriate policies and processes to ensure compliance and to meet defined deadlines.

Lead the operational team, systems and initiatives that enable ITF to deliver high-performing, values-led services. Ensure effective planning, delivery and improvement of the organisational function. Essential criteria:

• Substantial experience: A professional accounting qualification (CCAB or CIMA) with a proven track record in a senior finance role.
• Leadership: Proven experience in managing and leading a team.
• Technical accounting expertise: Hands-on experience preparing annual reports and financial statements, with a solid knowledge of accounting standards and HMRC requirements.
• Audit experience: Direct experience of being audited by external financial auditors.

We seek a Finance Officer to join our small team. You will report to the Head of Finance to provide bookkeeping and accounting support for Global Dialogue and Global Dialogue Ventures Limited. You will use Xero and be responsible for many aspects of operational finance including maintaining accurate records in the organisation’s purchase and sales ledgers; processing accounts payable and receivable; bank and other reconciliations; supporting month, quarter and year-end closes; and resolving ad hoc queries. 

This role is part-time. We are open to negotiating a working pattern that works for the successful candidate and for Global Dialogue. 

 

Terms Permanent, 21-28 hours per week, subject to 12-week probationary period

Location Home-based. Must have right to work in UK.

Reporting Reports to the Head of Finance 

Remuneration This role has been benchmarked at a UK salary of £33,000 (pro rata for a part time position). Global Dialogue offers a range of benefits including 25 days’ annual leave plus public holidays (pro rata), a flexible working policy, and personal development leave. Job Description

Maintaining purchase ledger: 

• Review staff and consultant expense claims 

• Reconcile monthly credit card and Soldo statements

• Help prepare for bi-monthly pay runs by reviewing bill postings, ensuring they have received appropriate approvals 

• Setting up payments in bank accounts

• Manage the posting and reconciliation of Employee of Record invoices

 Maintaining sales ledger: 

• Post grant income to Salesforce and Xero, following up any missing paperwork and queries

Person Specification 

• A recognised accountancy qualification and/or qualified by experience in accounting

As Finance Director, you will work closely and collaboratively with Amit Sharma (Artistic Director/ CEO) and Iain Goosey (Executive Director), supporting them as they lead Kiln Theatre through a period of transition and growth. As a key member of the Senior Team, the Finance Director will be responsible for Kiln Theatre's financial health and for ensuring that effective controls are in place and that all regulatory requirements are met.

Overall Role Purpose

The Communications Specialist – South East helps people with sight loss to live the life they choose by driving the awareness and saliency of the Guide Dogs brand nationally and in their region by leading the development and delivery of central, regional and local integrated communications activity.

The role communicates the strategy and work of Guide Dogs, engaging key audiences both externally and internally (including service users, volunteers, staff, and supporters) to strengthen the brand and further awareness of the charity

Key Responsibilities

· Brand – Drive the awareness and saliency of the Guide Dogs brand nationally and in the region by bringing to life the brand positioning through all customer experience touchpoints.

· Champion the brand identity in the region, leading the implementation across all touchpoints. Lead the regional activation of all aspects of the brand campaign, working closely with the central brand, comms and digital teams.

· Communications & Digital – Lead the development, delivery and review of central, regional and local integrated communications & digital activity in the region to include print and broadcast media, social media, publications, advertising, events, direct marketing and internal communications as appropriate, ensuring objectives are set and measured. Create and edit key regional publications, as and when required.

· Case studies – Source and create local case studies, and work with Content Team to maintain the Chorus case study library with content to support local and national campaigns

The Woodland Trust is looking for an Engagement Officer in our Northern Ireland team, to deliver opportunities for audiences to connect with woods and trees through a range of engagement activities both on our own estate and in partnership with others. This role is responsible for providing communications support including the creation of physical and digital assets.

THE ROLE
•    This is a key role in the Northern Ireland team and it will be responsible for improving the visitor experience on our estate and inspiring new and existing supporters to give time, voice and money to our cause.
•    Lead on the public engagement aspects of our visitor offer at key sites across Northern Ireland, working with estate colleagues to plan activities, communicate key messages and improve visitor experience

The Role

Social prescribing link workers will work as a key part of the primary care network (PCN) multi-disciplinary team. Social prescribing can help PCNs to strengthen community and personal resilience and reduces health and wellbeing inequalities by addressing the wider determinants of health, such as debt, poor housing and physical inactivity, by increasing people’s active involvement with their local communities. It particularly works for people with long term conditions (including support for mental health), for people who are lonely or isolated, or have complex social needs which affect their wellbeing.

Responsibilities include:

• Working with direct supervision from the Programme Lead/Senior Link Worker and input from the PCN’s Clinical Lead GP, take referrals from staff in GP practices within the local PCN.
• Provide personalised support to individuals, their families and carers to take control of their health and wellbeing, live independently and improve their health outcomes, as a key member of the PCN multi-disciplinary team.
• Developing trusting relationships and taking a holistic approach, based on the person’s priorities and co-produce a simple personalised care and support plan to improve health and wellbeing, introducing or reconnecting people to community groups and statutory services.
• Work collaboratively with all local partners to contribute towards supporting local community groups and organisations, making themselves aware of local resources and “assets” through mapping and then building a relationship with these organisations.  Also sharing intelligence regarding any gaps or problems identified in local provision with commissioners and local authorities. 
• Social prescribing link workers will work collaboratively with GP’s and have a role in promoting social prescribing and educating non-clinical and clinical staff within their PCN multi-disciplinary teams on the benefits of social prescribing
• Raise awareness of other services available within the community and how and when patients can access them. Linking into the work of Neighbourhood Network Schemes, locality Adult Social Care & Community Mental Health Teams.

About You

As a Social Prescribing Link Worker, you will have a Level 3 qualification in a relevant field (Health & Social Care, Health Trainer, Health Improvement, Community Family Worker, Psychology) or be working towards/willing to work towards.

About the opportunity

As Property and Facilities Coordinator, you'll be at the heart of our London office operations, ensuring it's safe, compliant, and a genuinely great place to work. The Senior Psychologist will lead the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based psychological interventions for service users with complex trauma presentations. Job Purpose:

The Senior Psychologist/Psychotherapist will lead the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based psychological interventions for service users with complex trauma presentations. As a clinical specialist, they will provide expert assessment, formulation, and intervention, ensuring that psychological care is tailored to the needs of asylum seekers and refugees.

A key aspect of the role is clinical leadership, including supervision and training for psychologists, and the assistant psychologist and caseworker to ensure psychological principles inform all aspects of service delivery. The postholder will drive the integration of trauma-informed practices, contribute to clinical governance, and support outcome monitoring. They will also play a pivotal role in supporting pathways for stabilisation and trauma-focused therapy.

Working closely with the Clinical Lead to uphold clinical standards, the Senior Psychologist will focus on the direct provision and supervision of psychological interventions, rather than broader operational and service management functions. Additionally, they will engage with external stakeholders to promote best practices in psychological care and facilitate seamless referral pathways.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

Knowledge:

• Clinical/ Forensic/ Counselling Psychologist with HCPC registration or Psychotherapist with UKCP, BACP or BABCP accreditation.
• Further advanced training in relevant specialist treatment delivery (e.g. CBT, EMDR, NET)
• Advanced expertise in complex trauma, PTSD, and comorbid mental health conditions, particularly in refugee and asylum-seeking populations.
• In-depth understanding of trauma-informed care models, stabilization techniques, and stepped-care approaches.
• Extensive knowledge of evidence-based trauma therapies, including TF-CBT, CBT, EMDR, NET, and third-wave approaches.
