We are seeking a dynamic and experienced strategic lead to drive the next phase of our Right to Health campaign. This new role will work with our experienced and well respected team and our extensive network, to make the political case for the better legal recognition and real-world protection for the right to health. 

An ideal candidate

You will be a passionate and experienced advocate for health, human, social or environmental rights, committed to driving meaningful change in the UK. You will bring proven expertise in leading policy, advocacy, or parliamentary engagement work - ideally within health, human rights, social or environmental justice sectors - and thrive in building strong, strategic relationships with government, civil society, and community stakeholders.

You have a good understanding of the structural causes of health inequality and the power of human rights frameworks to address them. You will know how the UK political and parliamentary systems work, and you are skilled at influencing these processes through clear, compelling narratives backed by evidence.

You are able to communicate with clarity and impact, tailoring your message to diverse audiences - from policymakers to grassroots activists. You are confident working independently and collaboratively within a small, flexible team, balancing strategic vision with practical delivery. Your approach is solutions-focused, inclusive, and grounded in the lived realities of people affected by health inequalities.

You have the right to work in the UK and be able to work from home in London or within easy reach of London.  A minimum of weekly attendance in London will be required.

Community Connectors Project Lead – Southwick
£34,000 – £41,000 | 18-month fixed-term contract | 4 days on site/community-based | Start date ASAP

Are you a dynamic, community-minded leader with a heart for tackling isolation and building strong local networks? Keychange is looking for a passionate and proactive Project Lead to launch and lead our new Community Connectors project in Southwick. This is a rare opportunity to shape and deliver a service that connects churches, charities, and public sector organisations—ensuring older people can access the relational, practical, and spiritual support they need to thrive.

About the Role
This brand-new role is ideal for someone who thrives on turning vision into action. As Project Lead, you’ll:

• Design and implement the Community Connectors service, developing processes, partnerships, and evaluation frameworks.

• Build strong relationships with church leaders, charities, and public sector agencies.

• Empower church communities and volunteers to better support older people.

• Provide direct support in a small number of complex cases.

• Represent Keychange in relevant forums and networks to promote the project and build community links.

What We’re Looking For

Essential Criteria:

• Significant experience in community development or frontline work, ideally with older people or other vulnerable groups.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to engage confidently with a wide range of stakeholders, including churches and the voluntary sector.

• Experience in project planning and service design.

• Passion for tackling loneliness and enabling older people to live full and connected lives.

Desirable Criteria:

• Knowledge of community and voluntary support for older people in Southwick/West Sussex.

• Experience managing volunteers or delivering training and capacity building.

• Familiarity with Christian church communities and confidence speaking at church events.

• Experience with monitoring and evaluating community projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic financial leadership, advising the CEO and Board on financial direction and policy

• Lead the organisation’s budgeting, planning and reporting processes

• Ensure legal, regulatory, and statutory compliance across all financial activities

• Manage and develop the Finance Team, embedding strong processes and financial controls

• Produce annual operating plans and oversee financial KPIs

• Act as Company Secretary for YMCA Trinity Group and its subsidiaries

• Lead relationships with external auditors and financial specialists (e.g. tax, VAT, payroll)

• Maintain strong engagement with the Trustees, the FRaC Committee, and the Executive Team

This is an exciting new role within the Marketing and Communications team and a fantastic opportunity to join an historic organisation, the home of the iconic Chelsea Pensioners since 1692.

The successful candidate will have relevant experience of delivering impactful multi-channel campaigns for a range of audiences, and ideally at a nationally recognised organisation within the military, charity, cultural or public sectors. You'll be responsible for marketing a wide range of projects including our recently launched, nationwide Veterans' Outreach programme, the Soane Stable Yard - which is open to the public 7 days a week, and our year-round events programme, as well as working with our partners to promote the Chelsea Heritage Quarter. 

Who we're looking for:

We are seeking a proactive marketeer, who is equally comfortable planning and implementing campaigns as well as creating compelling content, with excellent attention to detail and a good understanding of what drives public engagement and support for an organisation like the Royal Hospital.

The successful candidate will be:

· A skilled and confident executor, who is experienced in consumer marketing and promoting a wide range of projects including public events to the right audiences.

• Creative in crafting compelling marketing content to deliver effective, multi-channel marketing campaigns.
• Experience of working with a range of partners to help raise awareness and engagement, as well as suppliers such as designers and photographers.
• Relevant marketing experience in a military, charity, cultural or public organisation would be particularly advantageous.
