Role Summary
This role will support the expanding Fundraising & Engagement team with all fundraising activities to ensure that good relationships are maintained with all Alcohol Change UK (ACUK) supporters. The Fundraising and Engagement Assistant will undertake the financial administration and recording of all fundraising income as well as being the first point of contact for the team ensuring ACUK delivers high levels of supporter care.

Salary: Grade E: salary in the range £24,551 to £27,586 (depending on skills, knowledge and experience) plus benefits
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Fundraising
-
Coordinating ACUK’s CRM system (ThankQ) and ensuring data accuracy including:
- New donor details, communications with supporters, gift aid and consent purposes
- Championing data cleansing and monthly de-duping of contacts
-
Coordinating all general fundraising enquiries including phone calls, fundraising & engagement email inboxes (providing holiday cover for the training & consultancy inbox) and post.

Coordinating lead generation from third party challenge event companies and converting leads into participants

Coordinating fundraising resources and merchandise including;
- Sending out materials to supporters
- Compiling fulfilment reports from online shop and sending over to fulfilment agency
- Monitoring stock levels of fundraising materials and shop merchandise

Maintaining up to date filing systems

Supporting with research for Trusts & Foundation applications

Processing all physical (cash and cheques) and online donations received in accordance with ACUK’s cash handling procedures, including;
- Counting and processing cheques/cash
- Logging all donations on a central post sheet
- Processing and reporting on all donations received through the ACUK website and all third-party platforms
- Ensuring all donors are thanked in a timely manner in line with their communication preferences
- Importing all donation data to ThankQ
Engagement programme

Act as the first point of contact for enquiries from our volunteers (Community Champions) and, alongside the Fundraising & Engagement Manager, steward our volunteers including the coordination of volunteer activities.

Identify opportunities for supporters of different types to discover new ways to engage with them (for example helping donors become campaigners or encouraging cultural change activists to become community fundraisers, etc).

The Individual Giving Officer will work closely with the Director of Fundraising & Engagement and the Head of Fundraising to deliver significant elements of the charity’s fundraising strategy, in particular our Individual Giving income. The post holder will be responsible for growing our cash and regular donor income through both acquisition and retention activities, including through our flagship Dry January® campaign.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Campaign project management:

Plan, manage and deliver innovative and impactful supporter campaigns across a range of channels.

Lead on the research, design and implementation of key products including Mid-Level Giving and a new legacy proposition.
Supporter Care:

Work with the Fundraising & Engagement Assistant to ensure excellent levels of supporter care is provided to all our individual giving donors. Including the reviewing and refining of existing processes.

Oversee the maintenance of our individual supporter data within our CRM
Reporting and analysis:

Closely monitor campaign results and provide updates on performance.

Produce post-campaign analysis reports.

Work with the Director of Fundraising & Engagement to develop and update existing reporting mechanisms.

Make recommendations to improve the performance of future campaigns based on evidence and data.
Competitor analysis and industry perspective:

The Position
The Communications and Marketing team works to build the Fund’s brand presence and visibility with key audiences, delivers campaigns to grow its digital community and pipeline of individual donors, and leads on strategic communications projects to further the organization’s programmatic and developmental objectives. Reporting to the Director of Communications and Marketing, the Marketing Technology & Analytics Lead works to ensure that all communications and marketing activities are maximally robust, well-optimized and data driven. The post holder will provide data management, tracking, analysis, and ongoing systems maintenance and development. - Work closely with the other members of the Communications and Marketing team, across the full range of web, paid and organic social, and email marketing, assessing analytics and technology needs and offering technical insights that can inform optimizations and future strategies
- Manage and build dashboards and reporting templates that maximize insight across all digital marketing, communications, and individual giving metrics

- Ensure the flow of data between the Fund’s marketing platforms and Salesforce, working across teams to provide technical support on integrations and cross organizational systems, and scoping any platform improvements
- Lead on Search Engine Optimization and Search Engine Marketing, overseeing the Fund’s Google Ad grant account and utilize it to help increase website traffic
- Manage and update supporter and transactional data to ensure an elevated level of hygiene and manage the synchronization of all data between all marketing tools and Salesforce
- Work with the Communications and Marketing and Individual Giving teams to inform the conceptualization and planning of fundraising campaigns and manage their implementation from a technical perspective, and work alongside colleagues throughout their campaigns to ensure accurate data management and analysis
- Coordinate and lead on the management of the team’s video, photo, and audio libraries, ensuring all assets are appropriately downloaded, compressed, tagged, and stored

Minimum Qualifications

Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY
- Defines and leads the Charity’s strategies for income development and growth, through a mix of traditional fundraising and marketing, as well as new initiatives;
- Creates and nurtures relationships (new and existing) with key stakeholders, organisations and individuals to secure philanthropic support and maximise income.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides leadership for all fundraising, income development and marketing activity within the Charity by:
Staffing:
- Providing leadership and direct line management support to Assistant Directors and Seniors within the Income Growth & Development team
- Leading and developing a team of experienced fundraisers and the marketing lead, to sustain, develop and grow a range of fundraising, marketing and other initiatives to maximise income from new and existing sources.
Planning and Management
- Implementing and executing the annual Fundraising, Business Development and Marketing Plans to meet targets. Prepare and presents regular reports on progress towards income generation goals, to CEO, then Board of Trustees.
- Monitoring income and managing departmental budgets. Analyses of all fundraising activities, events, including a robust patronage programme as well as funding campaigns, for excellent return on investment,
- To embed a culture for learning, that celebrate successes, encourages feedback and identifies areas for improvement.
Brand and Marketing
- Expanding and diversifying supporter reach and engagement to further enhance the return and reputation of the charity nationally, creating strong ‘brand awareness’ of all areas of our work.
- Overseeing the creation and management of Grief Encounter’s messaging and branding across all platforms. Ensures consistency and clarity across print, digital, social media content and all public relations.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The purpose of this role is to maximise the income and profit sustainability of a multi-site and multi format retail business through the effective management of people, resources and budgets. The role will contribute to the development on the strategic direction and the future expansion of EHAAT’s retail operation, and to empower and engage the retail team through positive and clear leadership.
This is an important role in enabling the Retail Team to focus raising funds to support our life-saving service to the people of Essex and Hertfordshire.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work closely with the Associate Retail Commercial Director to provide expertise, leadership, vision and guidance, to drive forward the strategic direction of the retail operation and deliver outstanding performance in all aspects of charity retail.
- Develop, implement and manage the necessary practices, systems, and controls to ensure the operational, financial and administrative compliance necessary to deliver an efficient retail operation.
- Lead on the expansion of the existing shop portfolio including: sourcing, costing & planning of new shops including shop-fitting, staff recruitment & opening. Working with the Associate Retail Commercial Director and Governance Manager on lease negotiations and securing lease completions.
- To grow and develop the Ecommerce division supporting both the Ecommerce Manager and Donation Centre Manager in online innovation and expansion.
- Work closely with the Volunteer Manager to create a culture of volunteer empowerment and development focusing on volunteer recruitment, management and retention throughout the retail department.
- Work closely with the Associate Retail Commercial Director to build productive relationships across EHAAT to ensure that the retail team are part of the wider charity team, and are able to advocate for the charity with customers and other supporters.
- Work with the Fundraising Team to embed shared fundraising and retail incentives to drive new income streams and open opportunities for both departments.
- Work with the marketing team and other key retail staff to further develop the customer experience, ensuring the interior design and quality is in keeping with the required profile. Ensure that shop managers adhere to brand guidelines and that messaging in relation to the work of the charity is visible and impactful.
- Represent EHAAT in the community and public domain as appropriate. Ensuring that relationships in the community are managed in a way that achieves the best outcome for all parties.
- Maintain an up to date knowledge of the charity retail market and the activities of other local charitable organisations to identify market gaps and new opportunities.
- Develop and maintain strong relations with external retail volunteer support and chair quarterly retail working groups meetings.

Operational Responsibilities
- Lead, support and motivate the retail team, managing performance or conduct issues as required – this includes direct line management of the Area Manager, Ecommerce Manager and Donation Centre Manager with whom you will be expected to conduct regular documented 1:1s.
- Ensure that timely and appropriate communication and feedback mechanisms are in place for your team and volunteers, engaging, and encouraging contribution. Ensure the wider charity is kept up to date with relevant retail activity through team meetings charity team events.
- Work with the Associate Retail Commercial Director to plan, set and manage the annual retail operating budget, reforecast quarterly as appropriate and take steps to address underperformance.
- Monitor and evaluate the commercial performance of each shop and Ecommerce division, maximise profit across the portfolio and report to the Associate Retail Commercial Director monthly about the continued viability of each.
- Deal with all property matters in respect of their on-going management, maintaining and updating the existing property database of leases and subleases. To be across all expiry dates, break notices, rent reviews and other relevant matters with all retail leases.
- Take overall responsibility for the Donation Centre through supporting the Donation Centre Manager to ensure the development of excellent warehouse, sorting and transport operations in order to maintain sufficient stock available for all shops and ecommerce.
- Work closely with the Head of Workplace and workplace team to ensure all retail operations are compliant with health and safety policies and standards. Ensure a robust and efficient process is maintained for all workplace reported concerns or incidents and are addressed in a timely manner.
- Ensure all investigations into reported accidents, incidents and near misses are carried out without delay and appropriate action is taken to prevent a reoccurrence by either immediately remedying the defect or implementing control measures to prevent the situation from deteriorating or reoccurring.
- Implement a structured approach to using data in the analysis of sales.
- Lead an excellent customer service ethic across the business ensuring this is monitored through initiatives such as mystery shopping.
- Ensure that Gift Aid procedures, processes and claims are completed within the agreed time frames.
- Develop an online retail shop via the EHAAT website to offer pre-loved goods. Set operational structure and budgetary targets.
- Develop and control EHAAT’s charity merchandise from design through to purchase. Working with external suppliers to produce a range of sellable and profitable goods that develops the charities community awareness.
- Undertake any other tasks, duties or responsibilities as requested by your line manager or other senior manager, including the Board of Trustees and Chief Executive.
- Work closely with the People Director and People Team to ensure all people matters are managed in line with EHAAT’s policies and procedures.

BACKGROUND
The British Institute of Radiology (BIR) is a membership organisation, a multidisciplinary society and a registered charity (no: 215869). Its mission is to bring together all the professions in radiology, oncology and allied medical and scientific disciplines to share knowledge and educate the public, thereby improving the prevention and detection of disease and the management and treatment of patients.
The BIR has embarked on a new five-year strategy, which has established an education department aimed at delivering a programme designed to support training, education and CPD relevant to its membership community in flexible and interactive formats.
JOB SUMMARY
The post holder will work with faculty and BIR staff in the development and use of new learning technologies to support the educational mission of the BIR.
The post holder will manage the existing e-learning resources as well as develop new e-learning offering to our members and users. The poster holder will offer expert guidance, advice and direction on the design, development and implementation of e-learning materials and resources, and the use of interactive educational technologies to lead the e-learning development in BIR.
KEY RESULT AREAS
Manage the e-learning content
• Create new e-learning resources with subject specialists in medical imaging. This includes new initiatives (video course) as well as online learning library content and other e-learning offering.
• Lead and oversee the instructional design for the video courses
• Manage and review the content on the online learning library, including post-event videos, webinar series and training videos etc. Ensure the content are relevant for all categories and promote to our community
Manage the e-learning projects and implementation of e-learning system
• Develop and implement plans and timelines in collaboration with faculty and BIR staff to enable the phased introduction of e-learning projects and systems.
• Lead the team and work across the department to design, develop and manage the online learning elements including layout, tools, templates, authoring and processes.
• Manage all BIR learning systems including live platforms, Learning Management System as well as CRM system for event registration, online learning library and e-posters
