Specifically, you will be responsible for the reception area, managing access to the buildings, housekeeping duties, rent collection, repairs management, contributing to inventory management, accurately logging and reporting incidents, and responding to neighbourhood concerns appropriately.

Hither Green Service (Spring Gardens and Hilda House) is a busy, flagship service which provides you with the opportunity to join a specialised and committed team supporting 68, multiple excluded, highly vulnerable adults with complex needs in Lewisham. 

About you

You will be someone who is keen to be involved in helping people rebuild their lives after experiencing homelessness and can demonstrate the below.

• Understanding of the issues faced by homeless or vulnerable people and the difficulties they experience in accessing services; or you may have personal experience of homelessness.
• Experience of managing complex and difficult situations in relation to people and basic strategies to deal with challenging behaviour.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with others.

Direct experience is not needed, therefore making this role a great entry for the right candidate who has a genuine desire to develop a career in helping vulnerable people.

In the pivotal role of Duty Worker, you will work on four weekly shift based pattern to support with the day to day running of the project including but not limited to overseeing set weekly H&S tasks, managing repairs, leading on and planning day to day appointments, at The Coninghams we offer our duty workers the opportunity to lead in a clients support and or to co-keywork.

You will often be the first person that our clients, contractors and visitors come into contact with, you will work closely with project workers, night staff, manager and external professionals to ensure the effective day to day running of the project.

The Ministry Development Team (MDT) is a team of 45 people which sits within the Archbishops' Council. We are nationally responsible for ensuring that there is a pipeline of lay and ordained ministers together with their terms of service and the development of future and current senior leaders to meet the missional needs of the church. As such we have a key role to play in the delivery of our national Vision and Strategy in which we aspire to be a church which is Jesus Christ shaped and centred.

Our work requires us to work collaboratively with a wide range of stake holders and partners including the 42 Church of England Dioceses, 20 Church of England Theological Colleges, the House and College of Bishops, the College of Cathedral Deans and the College of Archdeacons together with a range of universities and other external bodies. The Assistant Ministry Human Resources (HR) Policy Officer will play a key role in the life of the Ministry Development Team as we work together to support the mission and ministry of the Church of England by supporting the development of the ministerial terms of service and wellbeing portfolio. The post holder will be line managed by the Ministry HR Lead and work in collaboration with colleagues across the church especially in the MDT and HR teams.

The Coin Street Nursery has a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic team player, who wants to gain experience in a non-domestic kitchen supporting our in-house nursery chef. Your role will be to support the chef running the nursery kitchen, providing food for the children and childcare staff in our 59-place nursery. This role will play an important role in the successful planning and delivery of UUKi’s events, supporting activity in logistics, content, sponsorship, marketing and administration. The events will include in-person international conferences with over 300 delegates and high-profile speakers, to webinars and small roundtables.

The Events Assistant role requires strong organisational abilities, together with excellent customer service and an attention to detail.  Previous events and/or administrative experience would be advantageous, but more importantly you must have a willingness to learn and a proactive and flexible approach.  This is a fast-moving environment with several projects on the go at the same time.

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Secondment/Fixed Term opportunity until March 31st 2027

The Rough Sleeping Prevention Project (RSPP) works across Islington and Lambeth and provides a rapid response service, intervening to ensure no one needs to sleep rough.

What you'll be doing

In the role of a Support Assistant (known internally as Hub Assistant), you'll jointly manage the safe day to day running of the project with other members of the team and to provide basic support and advice to clients. You will also be the first point of contact for clients and visitors and coordinating the Health and Safety within the service. 

In this vital role, it is essential that you are flexible to work on the weekly rota to ensure services are accessible to those who are homeless, at the time they most need our support.

Working days are Monday – Friday. Exact hours to be agreed upon.

We are looking for an experienced and values-led leader to join us as our new Assistant Director of Organisational Development & Learning within our People and Culture Directorate.

This is a rare opportunity to shape how learning, leadership and organisational capability enable one of the UK and Ireland’s most respected charities to deliver its mission.

You will lead the development of an ambitious organisation-wide learning and organisational development strategy, ensuring our 23,000 volunteers and 300 staff members, have the skills, confidence and support needed to deliver safe, effective and compassionate services.

About the role

Reporting to the Executive Director of People & Culture, you will lead a talented team responsible for organisational development, leadership capability, learning and development, delivery of training through our training school and external learning provision through STEP, our commercial training offer.

Samaritans is on an ambitious journey of change, we are evolving how we work, strengthening collaboration across the organisation to meet growing need for our life-saving listening services.

• Lead the development and delivery of innovative, inclusive and high-quality learning solutions
• Shape and embed leadership capability frameworks that support a positive, accountable and compassionate culture
• Support organisational transformation and change through strong organisational development expertise
• Drive strategic approaches to learning, talent and succession planning
• Partner with leaders to build a high-performing and psychologically safe learning culture
• Ensure our learning approaches reflect best practice, accessibility and equity, diversity and inclusion principles
• Support the development of our geographically dispersed volunteer and staff teams
• Bring external insight, thought leadership and innovation into the organisation

You will also play an active role as part of our Senior Leadership Group and People and Culture Senior Leadership Team, contributing beyond your specialist area to help deliver our wider organisational strategy and mission.

About you

You are an experienced organisational development, learning or people capability leader with a strong track record of delivering strategic cultural and organisational change.

Importantly, you are someone who leads with empathy, curiosity and integrity. You understand that high performance and compassion go hand in hand, and you are passionate about creating environments where people feel supported, empowered and able to grow.

You will bring:

• Significant experience leading organisational development and learning strategy at a senior level
• Expertise in leadership development, capability building and organisational change
• Experience of identifying future capability needs through workforce planning’
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, including experience working with senior leadership teams
• Experience developing inclusive learning cultures and blended learning solutions
• Knowledge of talent and succession planning approaches
• The ability to inspire and lead geographically dispersed teams, including volunteers
• A collaborative and values-driven leadership style

Prisoners Abroad is a unique human rights and welfare charity providing advice and support to people affected by overseas imprisonment. We help British people during their incarceration, when they return to the UK and need resettlement services, and we also support their family throughout the trauma. It doesn’t matter to us the reasons people find themselves in need of our services – and we never judge. Our range of services make sure they survive, mentally and physically, so that they can face the future with hope.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our fundraising and communications team in a varied role supporting our fundraising efforts to ensure an integrated approach to generating income and supporter stewardship. 

You will have some experience in an administrative or coordinator role, ideally within a fundraising or supporter‑focused environment, and a good understanding of how a busy team operates. With an eye for detail, you will be confident using a database and interested in developing your skills further with support from the team. You will be the first point of contact for supporter queries and will lead on the processing and reconciliation of income.
