About the role

Church Action on Poverty is a small, national charity working alongside people in poverty to build dignity, agency and power, and to end poverty in the UK. We're looking for a Finance Assistant to join our friendly finance team and help keep our organisation running smoothly.

You'll maintain accurate financial records, support colleagues across the country with day-to-day finance queries, and help our Finance Manager keep our systems and processes in good shape. It's a varied, hands-on role at the heart of a movement working to end poverty.

What you'll be doing

● Keeping our financial systems accurate and up to date through careful record-keeping.

● Providing day-to-day financial support to colleagues across the organisation.

● Supporting the Finance Manager to develop and maintain financial systems and processes.

● Processing invoices, reconciling accounts and bank statements, and recording income using Quickbooks and Salesforce.

● Supporting expense tracking, reporting and grant administration for our programmes.

What we're looking for

Someone organised, methodical and comfortable working with numbers, who wants to use their finance skills for a cause that matters. Experience with Quickbooks or similar accounting software and databases is a real advantage, as is a genuine interest in our mission to end poverty.

About the role

The Executive Assistant to the CEO role involves:

• Coordinating and maintaining the CEO's diary including organising all appointments, meetings and travel arrangements.
• Identifying, anticipating and preparing CEO information requirements for meetings, appointments and presentations, following up on internal and external requests for information.
• Managing all administration processes relating to the SLT.
• Supporting the CEO and the Fundraising Team with major donor management, including keeping contacts and actions updated, researching prospective donors, communicating with existing donors, coordinating thank you cards and gifts, and tracking secured donations.

Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive
6-Month Fixed-Term Contract (with potential opportunity to apply for a permanent role)
Salary: £40,000 + excellent benefits
Location: Home-based, with regular travel to care homes across South England (full UK driving license and access to a car advantageous)

Prospectus are excited to be supporting a fantastic care home provider with their search for an Executive Assistant. This is a 6-month fixed-term contract, based remotely but requiring regular travel to their care homes, two to three times a week.

You will be a talented Executive Assistant, providing high-level support to their Chief Executive, Board and wider leadership team. This is a varied and rewarding opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building strong relationships and is passionate about delivering outstanding support.

You will bring previous experience in an Executive Assistant, senior administration or diary management role, and have exceptional organisational and time management skills. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage complex diaries, schedules and travel arrangements for the CEO, as well as screen and prioritise communications, ensuring effective management of competing priorities.
• Facilitate communication between the CEO and internal and external stakeholders.

This role will play a pivotal role in supporting Galop to achieve its mission to support LGBT+ victims and survivors of abuse and violence in the UK. You will work alongside another Executive Assistant to provide administrative and project support to the Co-CEOs, as well as supporting the Chair of the Board, Trustees, and Senior Leadership Team as needed. You will work closely with Galop’s Co-CEOs and the wider senior team to ensure the efficient and effective running of the executive office. This is a remote role, with the ideal candidate being available in person in central London on an ad hoc basis. This position is part-time and we are open for this role to be undertaken in either 3 or 4 days per week, and can show flexibility with working hours.

Your duties will include: 

Executive Support & Office Management 

• Support the Co-CEOs in all aspects of their roles, including strategic inbox and diary management, workload management, coordinating and minuting meetings, ensuring they are fully briefed, and tracking action points for the Co-CEOs and Senior Leadership Team.  
• Act as an effective gatekeeper to the Co-CEOs.  
• Ensure electronic files and systems are kept up to date and effective.  
• Undertake general administrative duties for the Executive Office as required.  
• Support the wider Senior Leadership Team as required.  
• Undertake any other reasonable duties as required.  

Governance & Board Administration 

• Work closely with the Co-CEOs and Board on the organisation's governance requirements, including compiling Board and Sub-Committee papers, maintaining minutes, and managing governance documentation.  
• Coordinate Board and Sub-Committee meetings, including preparing agendas, information packs, Co-CEO reports, and taking accurate minutes.  

Strategic Planning, Projects & Performance 

• Create and maintain systems to monitor operational work against strategic objectives, ensuring regular reporting of organisational KPIs and departmental operational plans.  
• Undertake research and project management related to the Co-CEOs' programmes and activities, producing briefings, summaries, and leading projects where required.  

Stakeholder Engagement & Communications 

• Serve as a key point of contact for the Co-CEOs and Senior Leadership Team, managing internal and external enquiries professionally and liaising with corporate, political, media, non-governmental, and other stakeholders.
• Represent the Co-CEOs internally and externally as required.

We are looking for a collaborative, analytical, and organised Assistant FP&A Analyst to join us. In this role, you will be a key member of our Financial Partnering, Planning & Analysis team that sits within the wider Finance department.

This is a permanent, fully home-based role working 35 hours per week, offering excellent flexibility while keeping you connected to a passionate nationwide directorate.

The Assistant FP&A Analyst plays an important supporting role in contributing to budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and reporting across the Society. You will help ensure we always have a reliable, accurate and well-presented single source of financial truth from which colleagues can make informed decisions.

Your days will be varied and meaningful. Working from home, you will support budgeting and forecasting cycles, maintain templates, and produce regular management account packs and dashboards for our Finance Business Partners and budget holders. You will also help develop intuitive financial tools, contribute to multi-year financial models, and gather operational feedback to drive continuous improvement across our processes. You will be part of a caring and dynamic team that values partnership, accountability, professionalism, and a restless desire to constantly improve.

- Budgeting & Forecasting: Support end-to-end delivery of cycles, maintaining templates, timetables, and data collection from budget holders.
- Management Reporting: Produce and maintain regular account packs, dashboards, and reporting tools for Finance Business Partners and budget holders.
- Financial Modelling: Assist the FP&A Manager with multi-year financial models, scenario planning, and trend analysis to inform key assumptions.
- Process Improvement: Gather operational feedback on financial products to streamline workflows and improve data productivity
- Team Collaboration: Partner across the Finance and Assurance Directorate to ensure a consistent, joined-up "single point of truth."
- Compliance & Values: Maintain accurate, confidential records in line with data protection guidelines and role-model the Society’s core values.

The postholder will be responsible for providing effective support to the delivery of the Walk To School Outreach (WTSO) project across the North West, Yorkshire and North East of England. This will include research into schools’ eligibility and suitability for the delivery of this behaviour change project, assisting with online engagement activities and supporting with delivery on the ground through school and community events.

You will also be expected to undertake administrative duties as required, including formatting and use of spreadsheet data.
