Individual Giving and Legacies Manager
Fundraising & Engagement | Remote (UK-based)
Salary: £45,000 per annum
Hours: Full time (35 hours per week to be worked over 5 days)
Location: Home-based in the UK with occasional paid travel to London

About the Role
We’re looking for a strategic, hands-on fundraising leader who can develop and deliver our Individual Giving and Legacies programme, spanning legacies, membership, regular giving, lottery, appeals, publications, merchandise, Gift Aid, in-memory giving and supporter care. You will be able to balance planning with delivery, using data-driven insight to acquire, retain, upgrade and reactivate supporters while building a positive team culture where your team members feel valued, supported and empowered to do their best work.

Role Purpose
The role provides operational technical support to ensure that all financial data used for organisational decision making is validated, timely and analysed to ensure appropriate insight. The role specifically delivers accurate Restricted Fund management and Reporting and implements changes to ensure best practice.
This role is part of Trussell’s Mission Enabling team, the goal of which is to enable and empower the effective delivery of all of the outcomes associated with our strategic programmes, and to ensure that the way we work at Trussell is aligned to our organisational values and approaches. In doing so, this role underpins the success of our organisational strategy – contributing to the fulfilment of our long term vision of a UK without the need for food banks.
Key Responsibilities
Validate Financial Data and analysis – Validate all financial reporting in all platforms by monitoring outputs and undertaking corrective action to ensure that all standard organisational reporting and analysis can be relied on for decision making. This includes working with the Assistant Financial Account to ensure that all finance system data configuration is designed to meet Trussell’s financial reporting and analytical needs and management of budget, forecasting and projections with line manager and finance business partners from agreed data collection tools through to system input and reconciliation to drive performance reporting.
Maintain Donor, grant and fund management– Maintaining donor funds by managing end to end finance interactions and delivering standardised reporting to all stakeholders to ensure Trussell meets its donor obligations. This includes recommending and implementing agreed changes to meet best practice standards.
Support Procurement and contract management – Support procurement framework effectiveness through analysis of supplier activity, tenders and market rates as required to deliver value for money in all activity.
Support Treasury and cash management – Support effective treasury management through maintaining up to date data for financial projections from programmes and mission enabling financial business partners to enable accurate forward forecast of our cash flows.
Person Specification
Knowledge acquired through accountancy qualifications (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, CiPFA) or equivalent experience
Donor restricted funds management
Finance systems – data structure and analysis
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 products, especially Excel
Essential Skills
Time management and prioritisation
Data validation, extraction and reconciliation techniques

We're looking for a passionate, motivated and compassionate individual to join our In Memoriam and Celebration team.
Position: 000042 In Memoriam Officer
Location: Home-based, UK, Nationwide. However, travel will be required as part of this role (may include team meetings or other work-related meetings)
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week
Salary: Circa £33,200 per annum (inner London weighting £3,950 per annum or outer London weighting £2,457 per annum may be applied in accordance with where you live)
Contract: Permanent

Reporting to the In Memoriam Manager, you'll play a key role in delivering and developing our in memoriam and celebration portfolio, ensuring supporters receive outstanding care and stewardship throughout their journey with us. This is a unique opportunity to support people who are honouring and remembering loved ones, often during some of the most emotional and significant moments in their lives.
Empathy, sensitivity and excellent relationship-building skills are essential. You'll be passionate about creating meaningful supporter experiences, helping supporters feel valued and connected while demonstrating the impact of their support.
Using data, insight and supporter feedback, you'll continually seek opportunities to improve supporter acquisition, engagement, retention and income, helping to shape the future of in memoriam and celebration giving.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery and ongoing development of supporter journeys across our in memoriam and celebration portfolio, placing supporters at the heart of everything you do.
- Oversee stewardship activity for all in memoriam supporters, including funeral giving, More than Memories Tribute Fund holders and dedication page supporters, ensuring communications are timely, personalised and compassionate.
- Build meaningful relationships with supporters, helping to create a lasting connection to our cause and communicating the impact of their support.
- Use data, insight and supporter feedback to identify opportunities to improve supporter acquisition, engagement, retention and income.
- Monitor and report on agreed financial and other KPIs, maximising opportunities and mitigating risks.
- Represent the In Memoriam and Celebration team internally, building strong relationships and raising awareness of our in memory products and opportunities.
- Support the In Memoriam Manager to develop, test and evaluate new supporter acquisition activity through warm and paid marketing campaigns.
About You
We are looking for someone with experience of delivering excellent supporter or customer experiences and who is confident managing relationships with empathy, sensitivity and care. You'll be organised, proactive and data-informed, with a passion for developing meaningful supporter journeys and helping supporters celebrate and remember loved ones in ways that are personal and impactful.
