About the Role
This is a key role within the charity, managing and optimising the face-to-face committed giving donor recruitment programme (Weekly Lottery and regular giving), managing at least two professional fundraising agencies. You will work autonomously, undertaking a continuous cycle of monitoring and control, auditing and governing the channel in line with regulatory standards, providing oversight to the executive leadership team.
About you
To be successful in this role you will ideally have the following experience:
- Building relationships with and managing external fundraising agencies
- Developing and delivering face-to-face donor acquisition campaign including Private Site and Door.
- Delivering training sessions
- Experience of budget control including monitoring return on investment
- Developing audiences, recommending, and implementing improvement plans to successfully deliver campaigns on time and to budget.

Community transport operators have a great story to tell and it's CTA’s job to help them tell it and to support them to develop excellent services that can transform lives and communities. We champion, connect, support and grow a thriving community transport movement across all parts of the UK. Our work across the UK is integral to this. We have around 1,200 members and many other stakeholders that all help to provide accessible and inclusive transport solutions in their community.
CTA is funded by the Department for Transport and the devolved Governments in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland to provide leadership and support community transport operators and other charities and community groups that organise transport for their service users to help them participate in the activities they lead.
CTA has recently received 12 months funding from the Department for Transport to deliver an innovative "Tackling Loneliness through Community Transport Project." Described as a life line by people who are socially isolated, community transport helps people maintain contact with friends, family, and their wider community and it plays a vital role in enabling social inclusion, access, mobility and choice. Our programme, along with funding and testing the effectiveness of a range of pilot transport interventions will also support a Peer Network for cross-fertilization of ideas and co-create resources for a Knowledge Building virtual hub all aimed at tackling loneliness through community transport.

About You:
- Degree in Education or member of the PGCE professional body
- Minimum of 2 years teaching and tutoring experience and working with participant groups relevant to the curriculum
- In depth knowledge of innovation and training product research and development, provision of regulated education and continuous improvement and training quality frameworks
- Excellent inter-personal, conflict resolution and negotiating skills with stakeholders and customers

Cats Protection is the UK’s leading feline welfare charity with a nationwide network of adoption and homing centres, volunteer-run branches and charity shops. During 2020, despite the challenges, we helped 126,000 cats and kittens. That's the equivalent of around 345 cats a day!
The People and Engagement Directorate provide all aspects of L&D, recruitment, workforce planning, employee lifecycle support and HR advice and guidance to Cats Protection employees and volunteers. There are over 44 employees based within the team, and this role sits within the People Services strand which is made up of nine people.
Responsibilities of our HR Officer:
As a HR Officer you will support the People Services Supervisor in delivering a quality service to all employees in Cats Protection. You will manage and complete employee life cycle processes and services administered via the HR system known as MEOW. Ensure payroll documentation is accurately prepared in line with payroll cut off. You will undertake and actively contribute to HR team projects in order to deliver the People Plan as directed.
What we’re looking for in our HR Officer:
- CPP Qualified
- proven experience of working as a HR Officer or an experienced HR Assistant
- strong experience in the delivery of endto-end transactional HR administration activities associated with the employment and payroll cycle
- proven background of HR experience in a multisite organisation
- excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
- competent Excel skills and ability to use V looks up and basic formulae
