The Role
· Assertive outreach casework with very vulnerable women
· Responsible for supporting three women in the Borough of Camden
· Intensive support for complex needs with service users with a history of non-engagement with services
Accountabilities:
Casework
· Solution-focused casework interventions with women who have experienced VAWG and severe and multiple disadvantage
· Provide emotional support using a trauma informed approach
· Build and maintain supportive relationships with ethnically Minoritised women
· Ensure ongoing assessment and management of risks associated with service users within an attitude of ‘positive risk taking’
· Provide support with life skills, including practical assistance where skills are not yet developed
· Maintain accurate case notes and up to date records
· Contribute to the completion of outcomes reports and funding returns
· Complete all documents when support work commences and keep up to date with any changing risks to or from the woman.
· Risk assess situations in the moment, act calmly, professionally and be ready to remove self from/ call 999 in situations that appear too high risk to remain in
Advocacy and support service
· Empower women to access benefits and services they need
· Involve service users in the design, development and delivery of the service
Multi-agency
· Engage with a wide range of professionals (some of whom may have very different approaches to problem solving) through a multi-agency approach, and advocate to agencies on behalf of the Project and its service users
· Promote coordinated, joined-up service delivery for service users between violence against women services and drug and alcohol agencies, mental health, housing, health and legal agencies.
· Contribute to a service-wide communications plan and ensure that information about the service is widely available locally to other agencies and is also readily accessible to potential service users
· Educate a wide range of agencies and stakeholders about the challenges faced by women experiencing multiple disadvantage
· Proactively develop links with local statutory and voluntary organisations to provide a range of engagement opportunities for service users in the community
· Attend and contribute to the Domestic Violence MARAC as appropriate
· Contribute to monitoring and evaluation of the Project
· Be self-motivated to research processes and services in order to fully support and advocate for the women.
· Fully engage with the partner teams and all support and team spaces offered, supporting colleagues with the difficulties they face and celebrating positive outcomes.

Knowledge, Experience and Skills
· Experience of working within the Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) Sector, including experience of risk & needs assessment, casework and safety planning with victim-survivors
· Experience of working with people affected by severe and multiple disadvantage: homelessness, substance use, mental health issues, insecure immigration status, prostitution and offending behaviour
· Experience working with minoritized Global Majority women and a diverse staff team applying anti-discriminatory practice
· Experience of building and maintaining partnerships with other agencies
· An excellent understanding of the issues faced by survivors of VAWG, including a knowledge of options for and rights of women experiencing all forms of VAWG
· Awareness of the intersection between severe and multiple disadvantage and VAWG, and a strong understanding of how the intersection of these issues can make it difficult for people to engage with support
· Knowledge of the particular needs of women from diverse communities and the barriers to accessing support faced by women from Global Majority communities
· An understanding of the impact of trauma on women
· A resilient and assertive approach to reaching out to and building trust and positive relationships with women who are experiencing multiple disadvantage and who may present as reluctant to engage and/or may be presenting in crisis
· Ability to provide solution focused advocacy and support
· Ability to advocate successfully within a multi-agency framework
· Ability to critically reflect on own practice and performance and make use of clinical supervision
· Excellent organisational and IT skills including the ability to be self-servicing, use relevant IT packages and maintain an efficient case recording and data reporting system

Title: Head of Operations
Contract: Permanent
Location: Hybrid - based at PIRC offices in Machynlleth, as well as your home address, with travel when necessary.
Salary: £42-45,000 (£25-27,000 pro rata). This is the base rate for our socially-just pay policy, which can provide additional salary based on personal need.
Hours: 24 hours over 3 days, usually between Monday to Thursday, with 1:1 toil system (hours or days earned for working beyond your set hours)

The Role:
Strategic Leadership
- With the Head of Programmes, co-lead, as part of a collaborative process with the full staff team, the development and review of the operational strategy and budget

About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Advocate to join our team covering Lincoln to support parents whose children are subject to s47 Care proceedings and other meetings accordingly. Your role will require you to travel to locations such as clients’ homes, hospitals, care homes and within community settings across the area to meet with clients and professionals. You will be home based for administration; therefore, access to your own transportation and a suitable home internet connection is essential.
This is a full-time role for 35 hours per week.

Reall’s vision is housing markets in Africa and Asia that work for people, prosperity and planet, which it seeks to achieve through investing in affordable housing, using research and data to build evidence, and leveraging this to advocate for change. Reall has been a global leader in promoting affordable housing in Africa and Asia for over 30 years. Their work has transformed the lives of over 3 million people, created 200,000 jobs, brought clean water to 500,000 people and expanded sanitation to over a million.
This position is part of a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) funded by Innovate UK, aimed at driving impactful collaboration between academic expertise and industry. This 2-year KTP project reflects Reall’s ongoing investment in academic collaboration and commercial development. It will use the development of specialist gender- and climate-focussed knowledge to support Reall’s shift from reliance on a single funding source to a more diverse income model, including expansion of Reall’s consultancy services. The Associate will play a crucial role in this transformation by working with Reall and University of Warwick staff to:

Lead the integration of gender and climate innovations and best practices into Reall’s housing work.

Lead the development of frameworks to evaluate gender and climate impacts.

Lead the production of thought leadership materials to enhance Reall’s commercial reach and elevate its influence and standing within the sector.

Support the positioning of affordable housing as a global solution to gender and climate challenges, and Reall’s role within this.

About Women in Prison
Women in Prison is a national, women-led, feminist organisation. We deliver front line support to women harmed by the criminal justice system, through our work in prisons, in the community and ‘through the prison gate’ as they resettle back into their communities. We also campaign for systems change that addresses the root causes of offending, reduces the harmful impact of prison, and creates workable, community-based alternatives to imprisonment.
Job Description:
Job Purpose:
Women in Prison’s South London Women’s Hubs provide support and advocacy to women at different points of the criminal justice system – whether they are at risk of offending, serving a community sentence, or in custody and leaving prison. The primary purpose of this role is to work with women in custody, including on remand, offering support to prepare for release and connect them with vital community support services prior to and on release from prison.
Key Responsibility Areas
- Provide high-quality, trauma-responsive advocacy one to one and group support in prison, to women on remand in HMP Bronzefield, HMP Downview and HMP Send
- Development and maintenance of professional relations in prison and the community

About the role
We’re looking for a Associate Director of Brand & Marketing Communications with excellent brand, marketing and digital experience at a leadership level to lead our Brand and Marketing Communications Team.
You'll provide inspirational leadership to a key team at the heart of our organisation. You’ll be responsible for the development and execution of our brand, marketing and digital strategies. Job Description
Who we are
The Manna Society is an ecumenical Christian organisation and registered Charity. It runs the Manna Day Centre at 12 Melior Street, London, SE1 3QP, the largest day centre working with homeless & vulnerable people in the London Borough of Southwark.
What we do
The Manna Day Centre, a drop-in Centre for homeless and long-term unemployed single men and women, is run by a team of project workers under the Director, who are responsible for its smooth operation. Basic Services offered include food, showers, clothing, housing & welfare advice, medical care, and access to laptops. The Centre opens to the service users 7 days a week, 8.30 a.m. – 1.30 p.m.
The Advice & Welfare team functions centre around finding accommodation, welfare benefits, debt management, sustainment of tenancies and support in becoming “job-ready”. Clients may approach us with other issues, and it will be the Advice & Welfare team’s collective responsibility to decide whether the matter can be managed within the team or requires external input/expertise e.g. immigration issues and refer/signpost accordingly. The focus is on delivering practical solutions to client issues.
Our advice sessions run from 9.30 am to 1.30 pm. The sessions offer a mix of appointments and drop-in opportunities for existing users of the Advice & Welfare service and those who are new to the service
Working Hours
The working week for this particular post is Monday to Friday, 9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. each day. Annual leave is 25 days plus time in lieu of bank holidays worked. The annual salary for this post ranges from £33,775 to to £41,359. The starting salary will be dependent on your experience.
Reporting

Responsibilities – Advice & Welfare Work
a) Lead and manage other members of the team through supervision, advice & welfare meetings etc in coming to agreement on implementation of policies and procedures tasks and pathways for client cases.
b) To manage a caseload of clients as agreed with the Director and the Advice & Welfare team representing/advocating for the client, as necessary
c) To help develop partnership and networking opportunities to expand our repertoire of providers in housing and other key areas
d) Keep up to date with appropriate legislation and policies. In doing so, attend relevant training to deliver “best advice” and make recommendations/research required training for other members of the Advice & Welfare team
e) Write reports and deliver statistics on your clients as required
f) Maintain confidential records and administrative systems including database, block grants and petty cash systems amongst others
g) Contribute newsletter articles on a quarterly basis
h) Attend team meetings of all staff as required
i) Ensure compliance with all society policies relating to Advice & Welfare and the centre
Responsibilities – Administration
As the senior worker in the team, you will be expected to assume responsibility/provide support in the following areas:
a) Providing statistical analysis and reporting as required by LB Southwark grant which supports the cost of running the Advice & Welfare team in part
b) Providing ad-hoc reports/case studies to support external grant applications on behalf of the society
c) Support the Safeguarding Lead (the Director) in producing the Safeguarding policy and associated materials, ensure that the Advice & Welfare Team have up to date Safeguarding and Prevent training
d) Manage all formal Subject Access requests in line with the Data Protection Act 2018 and support members of the team undertaking SARs on behalf of Advice & Welfare clients
e) Manage and disseminate all private rented property vacancies to the curated list of recipients on a daily basis
f) Assume responsibility for the database to maximise efficiency and ensure that all records are maintained to enable production of reports
g) Maintain all grant spreadsheets for accuracy and in readiness for annual accounts/audits
h) Be responsible for managing regular Advice & Welfare meetings and subsequent actions arising from those meetings
i) Prepare Advice and Welfare presentations for bi-monthly management committee and attend said meetings
These are the principal responsibilities. However, the Director may require staff members to undertake other duties, as and when circumstances dictate – for example, staff/volunteer shortages, holidays, special occasions, etc.

Using your legal expertise, you will play a key role in tackling housing injustice and unfair housing practices. You will be working under our Legal Aid contract, delivering legal advice and representing tenants at court where needed. Delivering systemic change through legal challenge to prevent homelessness will also be a considerable part of the role.
You will also work with the team in the Hub to help make sure people in the community are aware of their housing rights and how to enforce them, as well as providing support to Trainee Solicitors and Legal Advisers, ensuring good practice and compliance.
About You
Qualified as a Solicitor with at least three years post qualifying experience, you will have a strong knowledge of housing law and substantial experience of managing a wide range of housing cases. You have strong skills in court advocacy, litigation, research, report writing, file reviews and are able to meet financial targets. You will be able to meet the 2018 SQM supervisor standard in housing and be able to demonstrate experience of working under a legal aid contract.

In Merseyside we have been providing housing advice and support services for over 20 years. We have a Community Hub in Anfield where clients can drop in for advice and our team also works across Merseyside in community settings, providing housing advice and advocacy, legal representation as well as practical DIY for people who have previously been homeless. This is an essential car user post. The applicant must hold a current UK driver’s licence, with no more than 6 points, have access to a car and be able and willing to drive UK wide as required.

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced, Social Care professional to join our Health & Wellbeing team on a 12 month Fixed Term contract.
Your role will be to understand the unique and often complex growing needs of our beneficiaries and to provide advice, advocacy and support to empower them to access the health and social care services they need. You will lead on hospital discharge planning and rehabilitation and support to access social care, so must be proficient in these key areas with recent experience. You will also lead on supporting Personal Independence Payments (PIP) applications and while we welcome experience in this area, full training will be given. You will contribute to the development and delivery of the Trust’s health and wellbeing services, and you will be an important part of the successful delivery of the annual programme of Holistic Needs Assessments (HNAs), carried out in beneficiaries’ homes.
Skills & Abilities
To succeed in this busy but highly rewarding role, you will:
- Be a good listener with excellent interpersonal skills and a flexible approach
- Possess excellent knowledge of current social care referral, assessment and funding processes and the interface between health and social care – particularly in respect of hospital discharge planning and support
