Winston’s Wish is a digital first organisation leading the way in Digital Transformation across the Bereavement sector. We have an exciting opportunity to join our ambitious Mass participation team as our Individual Giving Manager. This role plays a vital part in helping Winston’s Wish turn up the dial across our Individual Giving Fundraising. The Individual Giving Manager is responsible for creating, developing and delivering a fundraising plan to grow existing and new support for Winston’s Wish across our online and offline channels. This includes Direct Mails, Regular Giving, our Lottery, Legacies and In Memory giving income streams.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy
- Lead on the development and implementation of our Individual Giving strategy, supported by the Head of Mass Participation and the Director of Fundraising & Marketing.
- Ensure all opportunities and future plans are in line with Winston’s Wish’s over-arching fundraising strategy to meet financial targets, organisational objectives and KPIs.
- Maintain an awareness of philanthropy trends, news, events and legislation in the UK to ensure that Winston’s Wish remains up to date on key changes which are likely to impact on individual giving.
Generating Individual Giving Income
- Lead on and deliver a plan to increase individual giving income from streams including, but not exclusive to, direct mail, regular giving, legacies, in-mem and our charity lottery
- Effective use of KPIs to ensure decisions are driven by evidence and real-time data.
- Continuously analyse our income and supporter data to measure effectiveness of activities and return on investment.
- Work alongside our design agencies and in-house marketing team to develop and manage direct mail campaigns, including segmentation to ensure campaigns will be carefully targeted and designed to maximise income.
- Explore and test new methods for donor recruitment and increasing donations.
- Seek every opportunity to increase awareness of legacy giving to Winston’s Wish and monitor the effectiveness of these activities over time.
- Manage a growing portfolio of legacy enquirers with appropriate contact and timely solicitation of prospective legators including hosting events and tailored stewardship.
- Manage the stewardship and development of our regular giving programme including uplift campaigns and solicitation of new donors to agreed targets.
- Work alongside the wider fundraising team to ensure effective cross-selling of individual giving products and vice-versa identify opportunities to introduce other fundraising products to our individual givers.
- Identify supporters who could provide compelling content which could be used by the wider Fundraising & Marketing team to inspire further support including suggesting key individuals who could feature in online and offline publications.
- Work with the Philanthropy & Partnerships Manager to ensure that potential major donors are identified and included in relevant activities.
Administration
- Diligently maintain records of all interactions with supporters on Salesforce.
- Ensure all activities comply with appropriate legal, regulatory and fundraising good practice and with Winston’s Wish policies and standards.
- Keep a close eye on incoming donations to ensure they are coded correctly and that supporter data is accurately recorded in accordance with GDPR.
- Effective management and control of expenditure across all projects and campaigns in line with agreed expenditure budgets.

About the role
The key purpose of the Engagement Manager role is to deliver regional Sight Loss Councils across the East of England and to engage with blind and partially sighted people across the region. We currently have two Sight Loss Councils (SLCs) in this region, so the postholder will be expected to care-take and develop both SLCs, focusing on the retention of the volunteers engaged and making sure the projects and work they are involved in, continue with success. Sightsavers’ Trusts and Corporate Partnerships team is excited to be expanding its team in response to growing demands and opportunities in the trusts & foundation sector. We are recruiting for two additional Trusts & Foundations Advisors to be key contributors to the development of Sightsavers trusts and foundations programme. Exclusion from education happens when a child is suspended from school (temporarily or permanently) but it also happens when they are sent out of the class, put into an isolation room, or even wander around corridors doing all they can to avoid going to their lessons! With 32 million ‘learning days’ lost in 22/23 (up from 19 million, pre covid) this is serious societal problem with devastating lifelong consequences for young people – especially those from poorer backgrounds. SOHK is on a mission to help children experiencing exclusion, change their life trajectory.
With teams in England, Scotland and Wales, working with hundreds of ‘at risk’ students, we are looking to appoint a Regional Manager in South East Wales who will be responsible for overseeing the effective delivery of our programme in Wales. The successful candidate will ensure the alignment of delivery with our organisational goals and standards, line manage and support team members and maintain strong relationships with schools and other stakeholders. the3million is the largest grassroots organisation for EU citizens* in the UK, formed after the 2016 referendum to protect the rights of people who have made the UK their home.
Our work ranges from organising EU citizens’ communities and informing people about their rights, to holding the Government to account on the implementation of the Withdrawal Agreement and advocating for social justice.
We are now looking for a Research and Policy Manager to lead on evidence-based research and support in the analysis of government policy and legislation which impacts EU citizens in the UK.
We are looking for a creative problem solver who is detail orientated and approaches research through an investigative lens.
This work often intersects with the wider issues of social justice, migrant rights, race equality, and data rights.
You will work closely with the Head of Policy and Advocacy to direct strategic research initiatives, presenting recommendations to influence decision-makers and guide advocacy efforts, ensuring the3million’s campaigns are informed and led by robust evidence of EU citizens’ lived experience.
*the3million uses ‘EU citizens’ as shorthand for EU, EEA and Swiss citizens who were resident in the UK before 31 December 2020, and their family members (of any nationality) with derived rights.
Main duties and responsibilities:
1. Strategic research and issue analysis
You will lead on the3million’s research, working closely with the Head of Policy and Advocacy to ensure our work is shaped by lived experience, analysing issues experienced by EU citizens related to applying for immigration status, proving their rights and accessing services in the UK.
- Collect, analyse and categorise issues raised by EU citizens through the3million’s reporting channels, including highlighting correlations to equality characteristics such as race and ethnicity, age, gender etc (including our ReportIt! system, email, social media and listening campaigns).
- Interview EU citizens who report issues, sharing information about rights, signposting to relevant legal advice organisations.
- Identify trends in the challenges faced by EU citizens, documenting these in detail, analysing systemic issues.
- Provide strategic guidance on how research findings can inform the3million’s advocacy, campaigns and communications activities.
2. Policy development and advocacy
- Contribute to the production of high-quality policy briefings, reports and strategic recommendations that are clear, actionable and directly relevant to stakeholders including the Government.
- Support in the research and analysis of government policy developments, legislative changes and public consultations affecting EU citizens in the UK, specifically on areas related to immigration and welfare, assessing their potential impact.
3. Report writing and presentation
- Lead on the development of in-depth reports and support in the production of policy papers and position statements, presenting complex data into clear and accessible documents.
- Present research findings and policy recommendations at meetings and events, effectively communicating complex issues to audiences.
- Contribute to the production of advocacy materials, including media briefings, campaigns’ resources and informational content for the3million’s website, social media channels and for event distribution.

Key duties and reponsibilities:
Management Role
· Based on the policies of the charity as defined by the Trustees Board (created Oct 2022 AGM), manage the affairs of the charity with due respect for its heritage, status and independence.
· Within those defined policies, take decisions that allow the development of its business activities, liaising with other Trustees as necessary, and report to the Trustees on a regular basis.
· When necessary, liaise on allocation of duties to other Trustees on a cooperative basis.
· Represent the charity at occasional public events and meetings with collaborative partners and in negotiations, e.g. NICE, ARTP, Sleep Clinics.
· Act as main point of external contact and manage that contact as appropriate.
· Take purchasing decisions within the defined responsibility of the position.
· Modernise and develop the SATA business on as cost efficient basis as possible — goal is generally self-financing.
· Explore business opportunities as appropriate.
· Identify risk, consult with other officers and recommend action for Board decision.
· Finalise move to paperless operation.
Administrative Duties
· Arrange Trustee Board Meetings.
· Manage Membership Database.
· Administer Membership Renewals.
· Register & acknowledge new memberships.
· Handle resignations, deaths and other membership issues with appropriate respect.
· Acknowledge Donations.

Job Description
The Senior Service Manager (SSM) provides strategic oversight of Redthread Services (currently working with 9 hospitals in London and Birmingham) providing line management to ensure high quality delivery that improves outcomes for children and young people and be successful in seeking opportunities for further growth. The SSM will work with the YPF SMT and will take a lead role in implementing our YPF strategy in this area, including taking and making opportunities to grow our services, and supporting new service implementation as need requires.
The role can be home based, but time spent in each of the services alongside travel across the UK will be required in order to support delivery and growth of services across the Hub. The ideal candidate will have experience of delivering and managing similar services and the right mix of leadership, passion and energy, and an innovative nature. A proven track record in engaging with positive relationships with commissioners and securing new business is essential. The role will involve promoting, connecting and building services in order to impact the lives of vulnerable young people with complex needs.
Duties and accountabilities are split into two core areas, management and development of Redthread service delivery, including direct management and coordination ensuring high performance that improves outcomes for children and young peopleand supporting implementation of the YPF growth strategy
- Line management of service managers and operational oversight of service contracts.
- Supporting the implementation of the YPF strategy, including making opportunities for organic and new growth. Work with Business Development and other business partners and engage Commissioners and other funders to develop our delivery models and to bid for services (organic growth and nationally).
- Supporting the implementation of the Clinical Governance policy and responsible for ensuring relevant services adhere to this guidance.
- Contribute to national stakeholder engagement plans and local, geographical influencer plans to promote our hospital based youth work offer and support growth.
- Ensure that staff and volunteers within services are engaged with Redthread’s vision and strategic plan, are motivated and understand their role and contribution to the wider organisation.
- Provide robust management and accountability for service budgets and in building budgets for new services working closely with Redthread’s finance business partner.
- Monitor and ensure that contractual commitments are met and that service performance is maximised; acting promptly to respond to and resolve performance and compliance issues. A core component of the role will be to ensure the confidence of our Commissioners including by assuring the quality of delivery, through Brilliant Basics audit, review, observation and ongoing service development.
- Ensure the provision of high quality reports for Redthread, commissioners and other strategic groups on the work of the services with clear evidence of quantitative and qualitative outputs – particularly signing off service commissioner reports / performance prior to external distribution.
- Ensure that services operate effective multi-agency working processes, such as referral, assessment and review and to ensure a high quality standard of lead professional, meeting chairpersonship and co-ordination from workers.
- Promote and support the participation of service users so that they are appropriately informed, consulted and involved in their own plans and the design and delivery of services.
- Be responsible for ensuring that all service activity is safe for all involved, to include adherence to Redthread’s health and safety policies including safeguarding, accidents, incident and injury reporting, fire safety and risk assessment. Review audit activity within services and work to ensure a consistent approach across services.
- Undertake other duties as required to ensure the effective delivery of the services.
Qualifications
Professional qualification in a relevant discipline such as youth, community or management or demonstrable equivalent experience.
KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge and understanding of relevant current issues and research (including emerging trends youth violence work and associated areas of risk)
EXPERIENCE
- A proven track record of developing and managing projects in the public, private or voluntary sectors.
- Extensive experience of working with young people (11 – 18 years) and their families, identified as vulnerable or as having complex needs preferably within a community setting.
- Demonstrable experience of staff management including recruitment, induction, supervision and support.
- Proven track record in scoping and developing new business activity, including engaging and developing positive relationships with commissioners.
- Experience of preparing bids e.g service model development, articulating delivery within tenders - for significant projects/services and participation in the business development process e.g. responding to tender questions etc
- Experience of working using own initiative to an agreed action plan and effectively monitoring service quality standards and performance.
- Commitment to young people’s participation
- Substantial experience of working in a multi-agency environment and the proven ability to develop effective working relationships with other professionals/organisations.
- Experience of managing services for young people and their families, and empowering them to make positive and informed choices in their lives.
- Experience of developing new contracts and development opportunities with commissioners and partners.
- Experience of project development
- Experience of training / public speaking to a wide range of audiences

- Proven ability to lead and coach others in their professional development
