The Challenge & Community Fundraising Manager will be responsible for managing our challenge events and community fundraising portfolio to acquire new C&C supporters and steward our pool of loyal fundraisers, with the aim of increasing our unrestricted income. You will be responsible for the event and campaign management of our national challenge events and community campaigns. You will improve KPIs, maximise net income and be reactive to opportunities to ensure the programme achieves its full potential. Supporter Experience and Relationship Management
- Lead MAP’s Supporter Care team to deliver a high-quality, empathetic and efficient
service that underpins all income generating and engagement activities.

Processes, reporting and systems improvement

About you
You’ll bring solid experience from a dedicated market or social research role, whether client-side or agency, with a strong track record of using a broad range of qualitative, quantitative and secondary research methods such as surveys, focus groups and interviews. You’ve led a wide variety of projects, including brand tracking, customer satisfaction, creative testing and proposition development, and you’re confident working across different business areas to meet a range of organisational needs.

You’ve worked closely with external research agencies, managing procurement and delivery, and you know how to translate complex methodologies and data into clear, actionable insights that resonate with colleagues at all levels, including those without a research background.

- A deep understanding of ethical research practices, GDPR, and inclusive research approaches
- Strong questionnaire design skills and experience using survey software

The NSPCC's mission is to end cruelty to children. In order to carry out its charitable work, the NSPCC relies on the fundraising support of people across the UK for 85% of its annual income. The Special Events team focuses on fundraising events as a key part of audience-led fundraising. Job purpose
· To contribute to the Income Generation department’s purpose of maximising income from potential and current supporters through project managing specific events (including securing sponsorship), and providing committee support

Person specification
1. Extensive experience and technical knowledge of event and project management, specifically with a track record of successfully delivering and growing large scale events
2. Excellent ability to establish, develop and maintain relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders, including senior level individuals to achieve desired outcomes
3. Experience of line managing or mentoring direct reports e.g. assistants or interns. Proven ability to develop individuals, team building skills, working well with others as part of a team, giving support and recognising expertise in others
4. Well-developed organisational skills with experience in planning, monitoring, implementing and leading major projects to agreed deadlines, with the ability to organise and plan own work and the work of others to deliver objectives on time
5. Excellent ability to successfully negotiate with others
6. Excellent communication skills to present information in a clear, persuasive and inspiring way for a range of audiences
7. Well-developed ability to take ownership of budgets and a proven track record of meeting income targets and keeping within financial limits
