Main purpose of role

Responsible for managing and developing the charity’s social media presence to increase engagement, reach new audiences, and deliver an excellent supporter experience. You’ll lead on community management and content planning, ensuring our channels reflect our values, campaigns, and services.

We’re looking for someone who can help Likewise understand, evidence and communicate the difference our work makes — for people, for our community, and for the wider system we’re part of.

The Data, Impact and Evaluation Officer will hold and develop our monitoring and evaluation functions, ensuring they reflect the relational nature of our work. Understanding our data, demonstrating our impact, and telling our story in a compelling way are central to our organisation’s strategy going forward. Whether that’s about generating the income to do our work, making sure more people can access our services, or reporting to funders on the social impact of their investment, this role plays a vital part in ensuring our story is well evidenced, well told and widely understood.

This role combines technical ability in data, reporting and evaluation with relational and strategic strengths in collaboration and influence. You’ll work closely with Service Leads, our Fundraising Manager, Wellbeing Support Workers and Volunteers to ensure that data is rigorously collected, recorded, analysed and interrogated. Where you spot gaps in our systems and processes, you’ll lead on designing and implementing solutions.

Key responsibilities 

1. Data and systems 

• Review Likewise’s current data systems and processes and build an understanding of our current strengths, challenges and opportunities for improvement. 

• Establish and manage user-friendly, intuitive data collection processes that reflect the realities of our frontline work. 

• Ensure the quality, consistency and completeness of data across services, supporting accurate reporting and insight. 

• Maintain and develop Likewise’s monitoring and evaluation framework, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities and funder requirements. 

• Lead on the improvement of digital systems (e.g. CRM, data dashboards) to make data easier to use and learn from. 

• Lead on GDPR and data protection, including overseeing data management and storage practices, coordinating team training and acting as first point of contact for any data protection

• Work with the Fundraising and Communications Manager to generate robust evidence and stories for funding bids and reports.

• Help identify and articulate trends or insights that strengthen our funding cases and future proposals. 

3. Demonstrate and evidence impact 

• Analyse quantitative and qualitative data to show outcomes, learning and social impact. 

• Produce clear, engaging reports and summaries for internal learning and external audiences. 

• Develop or refine theories of change and outcome measures that capture relational and person-centred change. 

• Draw on wider research and evidence to contextualise and strengthen our impact story. 

4. Stories and case studies 

• Build engagement and understanding across the team in the how and why of data and story collection — fostering curiosity, ownership and care. 

• Work with staff, students and volunteers to collect stories, vignettes and quotes that bring our work to life. 

• Collaborate with the Fundraising and Communications Manager to share stories in accessible, ethical and creative ways — through reports, social media or campaigns. 

5. Support service improvement and learning 

• Help teams use data and feedback to reflect, learn and adapt — making learning relevant and motivating. 

• Provide practical training and tools to build confidence and data literacy across teams. 

• Support Directors and Leads to interpret learning and feed insights into service design and development. 

Onboarding and immersion 

• Spend time in the early weeks embedded in our work — shadowing staff, students and volunteers across our 1-1 and community activities. 

• Use this experience to ground frameworks, reporting and data practices in the lived reality of our work.

About Crystal Palace Park

At over 200 acres, Crystal Palace Park is far larger than most urban parks. Beloved as a ‘back garden’ to many people in the surrounding neighbourhoods, it is also of national and international significance due to its design as the grounds to the Victorian architectural masterpiece, The Crystal Palace, and its rich, unique heritage, including the 170-year-old world-famous Dinosaurs. Today, circa one million people visit the park every year; to relax and meet friends and family, take part in sports and physical exercise, enjoy world-class acts during summer festivals, or simply have a moment of peace and enjoyment of nature.

Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity provides specialist nurses and life-changing support for seriously ill children. Across the UK, over 200 Roald Dahl Nurses care for more than 40,000 children living with complex, lifelong conditions. For many families, the road to diagnosis is complex and uncertain, juggling hospital visits, managing medications, and navigating treatments and tests. They are often under the care of multiple specialists, across different hospitals.

The Communications Officer will play a key role in sharing the stories and impact of Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity, helping to raise awareness of our work supporting seriously ill children and their families across the UK. Working closely with the PR Associate and Brand & Marketing Manager, this role will deliver creative, high-quality communications across media, digital, and print channels. From crafting compelling stories and press materials to supporting digital campaigns and website content, the Communications Officer will help ensure our brand and messages reach and inspire key audiences.

Your job will be to raise awareness of our programmes and transform expressions of interest into school partnerships. Role Summary

The Programme officer role is a key component of a CEC wide initiative to ensure that national objectives and strategies are aligned across the business and implemented effectively and consistently across our Career Hubs infrastructure.

A key priority for this role will be supporting CEC’s and the government’s ambition for a new work experience guarantee to ensure that all pupils participate in 2 weeks’ worth of work experience by the time they leave year 11. The role will support specific programmes, pilots and activities that will be rolled out across Careers Hubs.

This role will play a key part in supporting the implementation of the programmatic strategy for Work Experience as well as other strands of work. It will support in helping to translate national initiatives and policy aligned with our strategic priorities into operational programmes delivered through our Network of Career Hubs. Priorities and programmes may change and flex over time but work experience will remain a priority theme.

To be successful in this role you will need to be a natural collaborator, a strong communicator and have strong organizational skills, and some function knowledge of our priorities.

The role will also contribute towards the wider success of the Network and Employers team supporting colleagues and areas outside of the designated area as required.

Within this role we would also offer a development opportunity for post holders not currently qualified in project management. Such employees would be offered the Associate project manager (level 4) apprenticeship, which is an 18-month development programme. This would be fully funded and paid for by CEC, you would be able to complete the qualification while in post in the Programme Officer role and you would also be given the appropriate release time each week for activities and tasks specifically related to gaining the qualification.

We’re looking for a Communities Development Coordinator to support, develop and grow student-led societies, sports clubs and other communities at Arts SU. This role is all about helping students get involved, whether that’s through joining a student group, planning and running events or stepping up as a student leader. You’ll be the first point of contact for over 100 student groups, providing tailored support, training and advice to help them thrive. From processing finance requests and booking spaces to helping deliver key events like Welcome Fair, Varsity, and Awards, you’ll make sure students and colleagues have what they need to succeed. You’ll oversee student group elections, manage the promotion of opportunities, and work with colleagues across UAL to create inclusive spaces where students are welcomed and engaged.

We want someone organised and approachable, who loves working with students. You should have experience planning and delivering events or projects, and ideally some knowledge of community development in education or the third sector. Good communication skills are key – you’ll be supporting a wider range of student leaders and need to explain processes in simple accessible ways. You’ll also need to be confident working with budgets and able to manage competing priorities. Flexibility and a positive, problem solving attitude are essential, as you’ll often be working on multiple tasks or helping students troubleshoot challenges. More importantly, you’ll be someone who values inclusivity, enjoys collaborating with colleagues and students, and doesn’t mind working the occasional evening or weekend when big events are happening.

• Leading on digital communications – newsletters, social media, and web content
• Supporting the delivery of events, courses, and member convenings
• Gathering insights through surveys and maintaining member engagement data
• Preparing briefings and resources that support our social mission
• Contributing to a positive team culture and supporting new colleagues and volunteers

Outline of the role

Supporting the planning and delivery of IAPB’s events as a key member of the IAPB Campaigns, Communications and Events team. Assisting with planning, logistics and administration of events at IAPB that enhance knowledge of eye health and convening of our members and stakeholders. Working with the Global Events Manager (UK-based) to plan and deliver high-quality events across the organisation, including the annual large-scale global event. 

IAPB is happy to consider applications from those interested in working full time (37.5 hours per week) or those wishing to work 4 days a week. 

Scope and accountability

The post holders role will support the implementation of our expanding events portfolio:

• Supporting the planning, delivery and evaluation of our online and in-person events in the UK and globally. This includes supporting with scheduling, liaising with members, key-stakeholders and suppliers, and managing the event administration to ensure the smooth running of the events.
• Manage the global events calendar to ensure IAPB events are advertised effectively and to the right audiences. Work with the communications team to ensure events are marketed effectively across our membership via the appropriate communication and social media platforms.
• Ensure the event attendee experience and event accessibility is continually improving and adapting with sector trends.
• Manage the events email inbox, ensuring timely responses and redirecting queries to relevant team members.
• Assist with event programme planning and administration for the annual global event.
• Speaker liaison management, working with the team to manage speakers for events, ensuring they are briefed, have supplied relevant information and working to build a database of speakers.
• Responsible for managing the data collection across events to understand the event's reach and continuously improve event processes and planning.
• Keep up with new trends and developments in events to better leverage them to help meet IAPBs goals and objectives.

The Organisation

The Royal Parks (TRP) is a charity created in March 2017. We manage over 5,000 acres of diverse parkland, rare habitats and historic buildings and monuments in eight Royal Parks across London. These are Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, The Green Park, St James’s Park, The Regent's Park and Primrose Hill, Greenwich Park, Richmond Park and Bushy Park.

We also manage other important public spaces including Brompton Cemetery and Victoria Tower Gardens. Our eight Royal Parks and other iconic green spaces are among the most visited attractions in the UK with tens of millions of visits every year.

Help Nature Thrive (HNT) is an initiative aimed at tackling the global biodiversity crisis by making The Royal Parks more resilient, more biodiverse and more connected to the visitor. It is supported by £900k of annual funding thanks to players of People’s Postcode Lottery and seeks to deliver park conservation improvements, enhance the learning journey of visitors and collect data to inform management practices.

We are now looking for an Engagement Officer to join our HNT Team on a full-time basis, until September 2026, subject to funding. This role is funded by the People’s Postcode Lottery.

The Role

As an Engagement Officer, you will support the Help Nature Thrive Team to increase participation, volunteering and communication at the Royal Parks.

Working with park teams, local councils and other key stakeholders to identify new target groups, you will develop plans and nature-focused engagement opportunities to attract audiences from a range of community groups to the parks.

You will also support the effective promotion of Help Nature Thrive to a variety of audiences, including park visitors, volunteers and the general public.

Additionally, you will:

• Carry out development work with local communities
• Ensure all expenditure is approved and budgets and financial records are updated
• Help deliver the Help Nature Thrive Roadshow

About You

To be considered as an Engagement Officer, you will need:

• Experience developing and delivering community engagement activities in natural sciences, ecology, zoology, parks, green spaces, horticulture and conservation
• Experience developing relationships with a range of stakeholders and visitors
• Passion and knowledge about UK urban nature
• Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent numeracy skills
• Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Office
• A degree level qualification in an environmental or social science subject or equivalent experience in a relevant subject area
