About the Role

As our Director of Finance and Resources, you’ll be a key member of our Senior Leadership Team, leading on:
 

• Strategic financial planning and advice for future growth and sustainability of the Charity
• Operational Financial Management, Reporting and Performance

• Financial Control, Governance, Audit, and Compliance
• IT, Facilities, and Information Governance
• Management of teams and contracts in the Finance and Resources Directorate

You’ll work closely with the CEO and Board of Trustees to support our strategic vision and ensure sound financial stewardship to deliver support for survivors now and into the future.  The position is offered on a flexible, hybrid and part time basis. 
 

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:
 

• Professionally qualified (or equivalent) in finance management and accountancy
• Experienced and deeply knowledgeable in senior financial leadership and strategy development in the voluntary sector/an equivalent size charity 
• A skilled and experienced leader and manager of people, contracts and major service change projects
• Collaborative, analytical, and proactive in problem-solving
• Committed to feminist principles and to equity, diversity, and inclusion
• Ideally also skilled in overseeing IT, building and premises management and information governance, with training and support available where required. 

As well as experienced Directors, this role would also suit an exceptional Head of Finance looking to step up into their first Director role.

What we are looking for

The ideal candidate will have strong administrative experience with knowledge of financial and budget management, alongside experience in event or project management from planning through to delivery. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level of ICT proficiency across Microsoft Office and related systems, with the ability to draft documents, presentations and produce clear and accurate minutes. The role requires excellent organisational, time management and interpersonal skills, with proven experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and communicating effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. Experience organising events, providing secretariat support to committees, creating social media content, and an understanding of speech and language therapy and the wider professional context would be advantageous.

We are looking for 2 Duty Workers to join the expansion of the St Mungo’s Bristol Accommodation Service. Ou will be working at Toll House Court in Southville; which is a historic building with 20 supported housing bedspaces for people experiencing homelessness.

The service provides accommodation and housing related support to people who may have complex needs, including multiple challenges such as physical and mental health issues, substance use and a history of trauma. We are dedicated to providing a safe, high quality and inclusive service to people while they are living in the hostel, and a positive move-on into independent housing.

You will join a dynamic team of managers, day shift and night shift workers, taking part in the renewal of the service, helping us to provide a psychologically-informed environment and a supportive and secure place where our residents can make meaningful life changes.

What you’ll be doing as a Duty Worker

In the rewarding role of Duty Worker, you’ll gain valuable experience working alongside a dedicated team to deliver a safe, inclusive, and high-quality service. You’ll be the first point of contact at reception, helping create a welcoming and supportive environment. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the day-to-day running of the project.
• Managing reception duties, including phones, access, and basic client support.
• Maintaining communal and office spaces.
• Coordinating health & safety checks and admin tasks.
• Providing person-centred support to residents.

Working hours

You will work full time on-site on a 7‑day rolling rota, including early shifts from 7:30am, late shifts until around 10pm, bank holidays, and two extended weekend shifts in every six. Some roles also offer a 20% pay premium for hours worked between 8pm–8am Monday to Friday, and for all weekend hours.

​What you'll do:

• ​Manage the diaries of our Executive Leadership Team, prioritising demands where required
• Coordinate travel, accommodation and other logistical arrangements
• Prepare, check and administer paperwork for meetings, ensuring deadlines are communicated and met
• Provide coordination support to our Senior Leadership Team for key meetings and activities
• Draft correspondence for the Executive Directors and monitor responses
• Coordinate the preparation and dissemination of reports and documentation
• Liaise with key stakeholders on behalf of the Executive Leadership Team, building and maintaining positive relationships
• Provide reception cover when required

About the role:

Single Homeless Project (SHP) and Islington Council are proud to introduce St. John’s Mansions - a brand-new, purpose-built accommodation service that will provide safe, high-quality housing for individuals experiencing homelessness and facing multiple exclusion. This innovative project is backed by the GLA’s Single Homelessness Accommodation Programme (SHAP), and represents a bold step forward in tackling homelessness across North London. SHP are building a dynamic, compassionate, and forward-thinking team to bring this vision to life. 

St. John’s Mansions will offer 19 beautifully finished self-contained studio flats, designed to support residents in their journey from rough sleeping and emergency accommodation to independent living. With a stay of up to 24 months, residents will receive tailored, high-intensity support to help them build the skills and confidence needed to thrive independently. 

The service will operate 24/7, with a welcoming reception and dedicated staff & clients spaces to enable both structured interventions and spontaneous, meaningful engagement. SHP will be working not only within Islington but in partnership with five North London boroughs - Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey, and Westminster. You’ll hold a caseload of clients and take the lead on delivering person centred, strengths based support that is grounded in PIE and trauma informed approaches. This includes completing holistic assessments, co-producing support plans and risk management plans, and working consistently towards move on goals. Alongside this, you’ll play a key role in the day to day running of the service, working closely with colleagues and partner agencies to maintain a safe, well managed environment, respond to emerging needs, and ensure each client receives coordinated, high quality support that supports their journey into independent living.

This is more than just housing – it is a bridge to a better future. In this role, you’ll work closely with adults living in our accommodation, building trusting relationships and supporting them to take positive steps towards independence. Each day brings the chance to empower clients to manage their homes, connect with specialist services, and rebuild confidence, purpose and community in their lives.

About You

Essential experience and skills would include:

- Planning, delivering, and coordinating projects, activities, or events with multiple stakeholders

- Using Microsoft Office, with strong knowledge of Outlook, Excel, and Forms in particular, and being comfortable learning new systems

- Supporting or coordinating volunteers and/or placement students

- Attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities and administrative tasks

- Building relationships and engaging with community members, volunteers, or service users

- Working with people who may have varying support needs, including mental health challenges

- Responding thoughtfully to, or managing challenging situations and conflict while maintaining appropriate boundaries

- Building positive relationships with external partners, communicating with care while representing the needs and values of the organisation

It would also be great if you had...:

- Experience working in the charity, community, or health and social care sector

- Experience in supporting and implementing project reporting, monitoring, or evaluation tools

- Some familiarity with housing, social care, or welfare systems, or experience in supporting people to navigate these            

- Experience designing and distributing promotional materials, or using tools such as Canva, MailChimp, etc

- Familiarity or knowledge of adult safeguarding, duty of care, and GDPR principles                    

- Experience using project coordination tools, databases, and/or CRM systems

We have an exciting opportunity for a Homeless Recovery Coordinator who has the skills and experience to assess and engage with our service users, ensuring that they access the right intervention at the right time, in a way that best meets their needs.

Full Time Salary Range:* £27,861.26 - £32,002.35 dependent on experience, pro rata for part time hours 

Contract Type: Fixed term until 31st December 2026

*Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

Responsibilities

About the role:

Street Outreach & Engagement – Identify and build relationships with rough sleepers and beggars across various locations and times, including those who are disengaged from services.
Assertive Outreach & Support – Work closely with entrenched rough sleepers, encouraging engagement with services and providing rapid assistance.
Substance Use & Healthcare Access – Connect individuals with drug and alcohol support, mental health services, and other healthcare provisions.
Case Management & Housing Support – Oversee service users’ treatment journeys, assist in hospital discharge planning, and collaborate with housing providers to secure appropriate accommodation.
Partnership & Multi-Agency Work – Act as the key link between CGL services, rough sleeping partners, hostels, shelters, the local council, and other support agencies to coordinate care and maximise opportunities for recovery.
Crisis & Emergency Response – Participate in monthly overnight street counts, unsociable-hour shifts, and emergency interventions during severe weather conditions.
Administration & Best Practice – Maintain accurate records, attend case conferences, and contribute to partner tasking meetings to ensure service users receive consistent and effective support.

About you:  

• Have a strong understanding of substance misuse issues and experience of working within a similar field 

• Be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written with good IT skills 

• Proactive and able to work on own initiative with excellent time management and prioritising skills 

• Have a good working knowledge of mental health interventions, services, and good practice 

• Be a supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals, agencies, and internal/external stakeholders 

• Ability to manage change successfully in a way that prioritises the needs of service users 

• Understand the importance of information governance processes and commit to follow and apply all necessary safeguards 

• Seek out learning opportunities to improve and broaden your professional knowledge and skills and to contribute and oversee the learning and development of others
