About the role
In this role you will be responsible for developing, planning, executing and evaluating projects in our Strategic Change portfolio – ensuring alignment to the wider vision and strategic direction of Macmillan and maintaining a focus on outcomes.
You will be working collaboratively with Business Leads across Macmillan, you will define the project’s objectives and drive progress throughout its life cycle.
The role will be deployed flexibly in line with organisational priorities, managing standalone projects, and projects within complex, cross-organisational change programmes, to agreed time, cost and quality criteria.
This role requires candidates to have demonstrable experience of operating in a very similar or comparable role.
About you
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- Demonstrable experience of initiating, leading, planning and executing projects and project teams to deliver within a large, complex, organisation.
- Recognised project management qualification and experience of applying waterfall and agile delivery approaches to complex projects. Change management and/or business analysis qualifications and experience would also be desirable.
- Experience of developing robust and concise business cases including options appraisals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills, flexing and adapting to changing circumstances.
- Preferable experience of managing projects involving procurement, technology implementation, people change, service development and process improvement.
- Experience of matrix managing project teams.

Brief role description

We are looking for a proactive and organised Programme Support Coordinator to support the delivery of our Sport England funded national programme that empowers people with a learning disability to get active. You will work across 2 key projects:

What You Will Be Doing
· Liaise with Community Partners and support them with their Our Active Community workload. Tasks will vary but could involve asset mapping, attending forums, writing up meeting notes, creating Easy Read documents, and compiling newsletters.
· Liaise with the Network Development Partner to organise and support national forums, webinars, and learning events to share best practice and amplify lived experience.
· Support with our online platforms for Mencap Active Community, signing up stakeholders and keeping content up to date and engaging. This will include the development of inclusive resources, toolkits, and communications for national distribution.
· Provide coordination support for the delivery of our Learning Disability and Sport workshop in terms of bookings, liaising with tutors, co-trainers, attendees and capturing impact.
· Lead on our communications plan by creating content and promoting our work both internally and externally across various communication channels.
· Monitor our sports inbox and respond to general enquiry emails.
· Support monitoring, evaluation, and reporting processes, including data analysis, capturing learnings and creating case studies.
· Support the team with other responsibilities relevant to the role that may not be listed above.

· Experience of supporting projects in community, health, physical activity, or disability settings.

Job Purpose:Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Family Centre provision to support families with children and young people aged 0-19 years (up to 25 years with disabilities and additional needs) that are identified as the most need of support or have emerging needs.
Main Responsibilities:
- Management of the implementation of the Surrey County Council Families First specification for Family Centres and Family Resilience Support provision.
- To monitor the Manager’s in-tray, triage referrals, ensure contact with families providing management oversight and comply with all elements of Early Help Module (EHM) Practice standards for Child Records – Family Centres and Family Support Programme guidance.
- With the Family and Youth Manager to devise and review the service delivery plan including emerging needs groups and partnership working with HomeStart East Surrey and other agencies.
- Use Tableau data and Outcome tools to plan service delivery.
- Show evidence of the impact of the support that is provided and record this on Early Help Management System (EHM), Outcome Stars and other systems as appropriate.
- Work with the Head of Finance, Head of CYP and the Youth & Family Service Manager to manage the budgets of the Family Centre and consider other sources of revenue.
- Manage Senior / Family Support Workers, Admin and other associated staff within the Family Centre and Family Support provision providing regular line management supervision, annual appraisals, and case supervisions.
Annual leave:Five weeks plus bank holidays (pro-rata for part time workers) Holidays increase after two years’ service to a maximum of six weeks after six years’ service.(pro-rata for part time workers)
