Job Purpose:

This role will be based in both HMP Bronzefield and in our community-based hubs in South London, delivering specialist housing support with women impacted by the criminal justice system in prison and the community.

Key responsibility areas

1. To deliver an effective accommodation intervention for women impacted by the criminal justice system.
2. To develop effective relationships with key stakeholders, such as housing departments, probation, prison, to ensure a collaborative approach to women’s accommodation needs.
3. To provide expert advice and support to colleagues, including upskilling through information and training sessions.
4. To work with colleagues to take a system change approach to tackling key issues, such as housing, for women affected by the criminal justice system.

The Role
We are looking for a proactive, hands-on Digital Content & Communications Manager; a creative all-rounder who thrives on “doing,” not just talking strategy. You’ll have ownership of our digital content: crafting impactful videos, visuals, and copy for our social channels and websites, and creating engaging resources for marketing, learning and programme delivery. You’ll energise our digital platforms while continuously improving their effectiveness and reach.
This role is delivery-first: you’ll “own” the hands-on creation, scheduling, and optimisation of digital content. You’ll have input into what and when we share and will help shape digital plans, but the heart of the job is practical content production and sharing. Press and comms partnerships are supporting responsibilities, not the main focus.

Your Key Responsibilities
1. Digital Content Creation & Delivery (Primary)

• Design, produce, and post engaging multimedia assets (video, graphics, infographics, stories) for social media, and our websites.
• Amplify authentic stories, ideas, and perspectives from our beneficiaries to move and motivate audiences.

2. Social Media & Community Building

• Plan, schedule, post, and manage engagement on Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and X, as well as newsletters
• Grow and nurture audiences—especially among schools, judges, volunteers, educators, and young people.
• Monitor trends and adapt content for impact.

3. Learning & Programme Resource Design

• Work with colleagues to create compelling, accessible learning resources and marketing materials for schools, corporate partners, funders, and events.
• Design digital newsletters, reports, and campaign materials that support fundraising, stewardship, and participant development.

4. Marketing of Programmes

• Provide marketing support to the programmes team to help promote our programmes to schools and other charities primarily through developing marketing collateral and supporting outbound email campaigns

5. Website Management & Continuous Improvement

• Manage day-to-day website updates, keeping our sites fresh, welcoming, and easy to navigate.
• Seek out and implement small improvements that enhance user experience, accessibility, and recruitment effectiveness.

6. Press, Media & Profile

• Develop and deliver a practical approach to meeting regional press grant requirements (e.g. one piece per final); contribute occasional press releases if needed.

7. Support the Team’s broader objectives

• Help colleagues use digital tools, solve basic problems, and build digital skills through sharing, to improve our digital content

What We’re Looking For

• Strong track record in creating digital content, managing social media, and designing educational/promotional materials (charity, youth, or education sector experience a plus).
• Experience with website content management and the ability to identify and deliver incremental improvements.
• Skilled in video and design (Canva, CapCut, Adobe, or similar) and software to support website and newsletter design.
• Clear, compelling written English for content, newsletters, and reports.

Working with our staff, cadets, and volunteers, we have built a vision and five-year strategy to take us forward and further improve the astounding contribution already made through our work to the lives of thousands of young people and seafarers, while fully supporting our volunteers who are vital to our success.

We are currently looking for an Offshore Maintenance Manager to join our team.

About the role

The Offshore Maintenance Manager will have a key role in delivering the capability and availability of MSSC’s offshore vessels to provide sea-going experience for cadets and in ensuring the safety for all personnel on board. The main purpose of the role is to provide support with the engineering management and maintenance of MSSC’s offshore vessels

Responsibilities

· Providing day to day support in identifying defects and safety shortcomings, determining solutions, assisting in rectification or organising cost effective professional repairs at advantageous prices and obtaining replacement parts.

· Producing, overseeing and tracking (technically and financially) the winter maintenance work packages for the fleet.

· Progressive development of MSSC’s Safety Management System, as related to the technical running and management of each offshore vessel.

· Assisting the engineer officers of MSSC’s vessels with maintenance tasks.

· Managing records to support and evidence MSSC’s maintenance programme.

· Acting as an occasional relief engineer on board any of the three larger vessels.

Requirements

· Engineer with HNC or similar professional qualification with significant experience in the maritime sector in seagoing and shore support roles.  Areas of experience would include health and safety, marine equipment operation, engineering maintenance, refit planning and execution.

· Ideally a broad engineering experience across the mechanical, electrical and electronic disciplines. Knowledge of typical small commercial or recreational vessel machinery, control, navigation and communications systems and their integration.

· Experience in using and managing Electronic Planned Maintenance Systems.

· Experience of routine and effective liaison with ship and shore staff, external authorities, suppliers and contractors.

· Health and fitness necessary to obtain and industry recognised medical certification (ENG1).

Desirable

· Power and sail background ideally across a variety of vessels including those <300 tonnes

· Experience with maintaining vessels in Lloyd’s or other recognised Classification Society Rules and Flag State “Code of Practice.”

· Experience working with young people.

You will lead on fundraising from Trusts and Foundations and be responsible for relationships, applications and reporting to major Trust and Foundation funders. You’ll lead internal processes for prospect research and have oversight of a growing portfolio of potential and existing donors. You will ensure a consistent pipeline of applications to meet your performance indicators and collate information from across the organisation to produce funder reports.

 You will have significant and demonstrable experience of fundraising from major Trusts and Foundations. ABOUT TRAIN

TRAIN is a youth work charity based in South Oxfordshire. We support young people aged 10 to 18 in Didcot, Wallingford and the surrounding areas, especially those who are under-served.

Young people in our communities are facing complex challenges. Mental health struggles, pressures at school, family instability and the impact of poverty can leave them feeling isolated or overlooked. Too often, they don’t have access to the right support at the right time. TRAIN exists to change that. We offer trusted relationships with adults outside positions of authority, safe spaces where young people can be themselves, and opportunities to grow in confidence, make positive choices and feel part of their community.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As Fundraising and Communications Coordinator, your main focus will be trusts and foundations: researching opportunities, writing persuasive applications and producing clear reports. You’ll also play a part in growing support from corporates, community fundraising, individual donors and major gifts, helping to build a broader base of income over time.

Alongside this, you’ll lead on communications. That means keeping our website and social channels current, producing supporter newsletters, and sharing our story more widely through PR and campaigns. You’ll help make sure the difference TRAIN makes for young people is seen and understood by funders, partners and the local community.

It’s a hands-on role, well-suited to someone who enjoys writing, building relationships and juggling different projects. You don’t need to be an experienced fundraiser — we’re open to people with transferable skills, whether from corporate, public or third sector backgrounds. What matters most is that you can communicate clearly, organise your workload, and are motivated by making a difference for young people.

You’ll report directly to the CEO and work closely with the rest of the team. This is a part-time role of approximately 30 hours per week, which can be worked flexibly. The role is based in Didcot with hybrid working, but for the right candidate we will consider a fully remote arrangement.

SALARY AND BENEFITS

• Salary: £28,598 - £31,022 FTE (pro-rated, depending on experience)
• Contract: Permanent, part-time, approx. 30 hours per week. We can be flexible on the exact number and when they are worked.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Fundraising (approx. 80%)

• Pipeline and planning – work with the CEO to keep a clear fundraising plan, with trusts and foundations as the main focus alongside manageable growth in corporates, community, and individual giving.
• Trusts and foundations – research prospects, build a live pipeline, and write strong, tailored bids. Prepare accurate budgets and gather evidence from the team to strengthen proposals.
• Reporting and stewardship – deliver timely reports, thank funders and donors well, and manage renewals and uplift opportunities.
• Relationship development – nurture links with local businesses, community groups and potential major donors. Prepare simple proposals and support fundraising events or activities as needed.
• Systems and compliance – maintain accurate records of applications, deadlines and outcomes. Ensure fundraising activity is compliant with GDPR and charity regulations.

Communications (approx. 20%)

• Supporter communications – produce engaging newsletters, updates and thank-yous that connect donors and partners with TRAIN’s impact.
• Digital presence – update the website and social media channels with accurate, timely content that reflects TRAIN’s work and values.
• PR and profile – share stories with local media, partners and networks. Ensure TRAIN’s messaging is clear, consistent and accessible.
• Community engagement – promote TRAIN’s profile, youth offer, brand and presence in the community.

General

• Work closely with the CEO to align fundraising and comms priorities.
• Collaborate with youth work staff to gather stories, quotes and data that demonstrate TRAIN’s impact.
• Represent TRAIN at meetings and community events.
• Contribute to the life of a small, collaborative team.

ABOUT YOU

We don’t expect you to have a long career in fundraising behind you. What matters most is that you can write clearly and persuasively, build relationships with people, and organise your workload to meet deadlines. If you’ve developed these skills in another sector and are keen to bring them into the charity world, we’d love to hear from you. Just as important, you’ll bring a genuine passion for TRAIN’s mission and a belief in the difference youth work makes.

Essential qualities

• Strong written communication skills: able to produce clear, persuasive bids, reports and updates.
• Good at building relationships, whether with colleagues, partners or supporters.
• Organised and reliable, able to manage multiple deadlines.
• Comfortable working independently but also a collaborative team member.
• Confident using IT tools (Microsoft Office, online research, basic social media platforms).
• Passionate about TRAIN’s mission and motivated to make a difference for young people.
• Satisfactory Enhanced DBS check (we will arrange this before you start).

Desirable qualities

• Experience of fundraising, bid writing or income generation in any setting.
• Understanding of trusts and foundations, or the ability to learn quickly.
• Experience in marketing, PR, or communications (e.g. social media, newsletters, supporter comms).
• Familiarity with CRM or pipeline management tools.
• Knowledge of charity fundraising regulation and GDPR.
• Confidence in representing an organisation at events or meetings.

WCCM seeks to appoint an experienced, creative, and highly motivated Grant and Major Donor Fundraising Manager to lead fundraising and grant management across a global organisation dedicated to the teaching of Christian Meditation. Working to the Executive Director, you will interact with our decentralised finance, marketing and communications staff and volunteers.  Together, you will nurture Major Donor relationships and create and manage appropriate donor stewardship schemes and rationalise our income streams. You’ll ensure grant reporting and management is kept on track whilst developing targeted proposals for new funding from sympathetic donors in the arena of Trusts and foundations.  You will work to support both our teaching and resourcing of meditation and the running of our retreat centre in Bonnevaux, near Poitiers in France. An excellent writer with excellent financial and budgeting skills, you will be adept at pulling together relevant, succinct and compelling information for our donor reports and bids. You’ll work with communications staff to develop impactful donor communications which enhance our accountability and inspire renewed major donations.  You will have a demonstrable track record in winning grants as well as in the stewardship of major donors.  Occasional trips to France. Interest in Christian Meditation/Spirituality an advantage.

Salary: £27,007.50 FTE (£10,803 pro-rata) per annum (London Living Wage)​

Do you want to work with multiple-award winning charity, FoodCycle? Our vision is to make food poverty, loneliness and food waste a thing of the past for every community – including our school communities!​

We’ve partnered with 4 schools across London to bring our free community meal to their families after school hours, with the additional goal of helping connect families with each other and the school and introducing kids to new healthy food.​

We’re looking for some additional help over the next 6 months to support the volunteer teams on site and make these meals happen. You’ll need to have an interest and experience in working with kids and families!​

By joining us you’ll gain an understanding of different aspects of local project delivery for a national charity. You’ll be hands-on and have an immediate impact each day, leading small teams of volunteers who cook in the kitchen and host our guests to create a positive and welcoming environment and a nutritious vegetarian meal.​

Our school meals happen on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings, and we would ideally like you to work your hours across these three afternoons/evenings. You’ll be supporting 2 meals per week on average, with around 5 hours required per meal. That leaves 5 additional hours to join team meetings and complete other duties.​

You’ll be supported by our experienced operational team, and we will equip you with a package of training and shadowing, including specific training around food safety, safeguarding and working within the lively environment of schools!​

About the Role

The role of Database Officer sits in the Data, Evidence and Monitoring team, at the junction of frontline services, fundraising and the leadership team. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of In-Form, our case management system for frontline services. In-Form represents a key data asset for the organisation so we are looking for someone who is responsible, conscientious and able to provide excellent customer service to other stakeholders who rely on In-Form. A strong interest in information management and databases is also essential for this role.

We would like to manage aspects of the development of In-Form in-house with limited recourse to the technical support team at In-Form. We recognise that this involves technical skills and will provide relevant on-the-job training to the successful candidate. We believe this job would be an ideal opportunity for someone who already has experience of using a case management system as a frontline worker in health/social care and now wants to move into data management, data protection and/or project monitoring and evaluation (M&E).

Donnington Doorstep Family Centre is an independent, community-based children’s centre, governed by a board of trustees, delivering a range of universal and specialist services.
