Role Purpose

This is an exciting opportunity for a fully qualified Education Mental Health Practitioner to work within a multi-disciplinary, early intervention Mental Health Support Team (MHST) to increase and improve emotional wellbeing (5-18 years) and mental health provision within education settings.

You will be part of a Third Sector team of colleagues with a variety of qualifications and experiences who are passionate about supporting all children and young people to access the right support at the right time, including where children may have been excluded, have additional needs or are not attending school.

We may also be able to consider applications from qualified Children’s Wellbeing Practitioners (CWPs), CAMHS practitioners, or other children and young people specialist practitioners with relevant qualifications.

You will have a caseload of children and adolescents with mild to moderate emotional and mental health difficulties and will deliver evidence-based and time limited 1:1 and group interventions, employing the principles underpinning the national CYP-IAPT programme (Children and Young People’s Improving Access to Psychological Therapies). Low intensity interventions (e.g. CBT guided self-help) will be delivered in a range of education settings (primary, secondary, special, alternative provision and sixth form and further education colleges).  Work will include psychoeducation sessions to a range of stakeholders, including children and young people, parents/carers and education staff, promoting a whole school approach to mental health. The role runs throughout the year, and you will be part of our holiday provision, ensuring we can support children all year round.

You will work with people from diverse backgrounds, using interpreters when necessary, and will have a commitment to challenging health inequities, and increasing access to our services for all young people. You will also work closely with colleagues and partners in the Local Authority, CAMHS, education settings where interventions are being delivered and other relevant mental health providers. 

Key Responsibilities

Delivering Interventions and Client Care

• Assess and develop evidence-based intervention plans to meet the mild - moderate needs of CYP with a range of mild – moderate emotional and mental health difficulties, with the support of your supervisor 
• Work in partnership with children, young people, their families and educators in the development of plans, agreeing interventions, goals and outcomes
• Support children and young people, their parents/carers, families and educators in the self-management of presenting difficulties
• Deliver evidence-based, low intensity 1:1 and group interventions for CYP aged 5-25 with mild – moderate emotional and mental health difficulties
• Ensure that at all times assessment and intervention are provided from an inclusive values base, which recognises and respects diversity 
• Undertake accurate assessments of risk to self and others, with support from your supervisor Maintain comprehensive records of all training and intervention activity
• Complete all requirements relating to data collection and report clinical outcomes and service access data into the digital patient record system, CYP IAPTUS
• Adhere to the protocols within the education settings worked in
• Deliver psychoeducation and training workshops and programmes to children, young people, parents/carers and education staff
• Signpost referrals for children and young people with more complex needs to relevant services
• Participate fully in regular 1:1 line-management and clinical supervision

• Attending occasional Multi-Disciplinary Team meetings to discuss any young people known to the service
• Monitor and track progress against targets for your caseload and develop plans with your supervisor to reach targets within structured timescales
• Develop a ‘local knowledge’ of the borough and its services and facilities, particularly in relation to mental health issues

• Hold a current qualification from an accredited body to deliver evidence-based interventions for CYP, ideally as an EMHP

The Early Education and Childcare Coalition unites the voices of parents, children, providers, early years professionals and the wider business community, working together for investment and reform of early education and childcare in England. 

We believe that we all benefit from a well-functioning early education system and we all have a role to play in ensuring it works for children, parents and the economy.

We are backed by some of the most high-profile campaign and research organisations in the UK. Our members include early years provider membership bodies, parent campaign groups, early childhood experts, trade unions, the business lobby, anti-poverty campaigners and NGOs. Together, we use our collective voice and research to build public and political support for early education and childcare.

And it’s worked. Thanks to the dedication of our members, early years is now one of the top six priorities for the new government’s Plan for Change, but our work isn’t done – we have an ambitious agenda to ‘rescue and reform’ the system, ensuring that: 

• every child can access high-quality education and care that their parents can afford and that will support them to thrive 

• every provider is funded fairly for the places they offer 

• every early years professional is rewarded and recognised for the skilled work they do 
   

This year we launch a new three-year programme to achieve one of those key aims – raising the status of the early education profession, and we need a Campaign & Programme Manager to help us drive that work. 

About the role

• Hours: 30 hours (4 days per week). Some out-of-hours work may be required for which TOIL will be given. 

• Duration: Two-year contract with possible extension subject to funding. 

• Location: Homeworking, but within easy reach of London 

• Salary: £48,000 per annum FTE (£38,400 pro-rata) 

Although we work remotely with a team that is spread nationwide, this role does require someone based in or close to London in order to deliver our Westminster programme of activities.

We work flexibly and it won’t come as a surprise to you that we understand the challenge of caring commitments. We trust you to manage your time, but we do expect that most of your hours are worked during standard office hours so that we can collaborate as a team and engage with our coalition partners. Our core working day is a Thursday. As a fully remote team this helps us to stay in touch and connect. 

This role is initially offered on a two-year fixed term basis which we expect to renew in line with funding and is offered at four days per week. If you have a preferred working pattern, please speak to us and we would be happy to see if we can make it work. 

The Coalition has experienced significant growth over the last two years and with early years firmly on the political agenda, we expect this to continue. Our hope is that this role will evolve and the successful candidate will continue to progress within this growing and impactful organisation. 

For the last two years, the Coalition has been incubated by the Women’s Budget Group, the UK’s leading feminist economic think tank. Our growth means that we are now ready to spin out into a separate and independent legal entity. That means that your employment contract will initially be with WBG on behalf of the Coalition but will then transfer across to the newly constituted organisation. This won’t change your role, your terms or your pay, but we want to tell you now. We are happy to answer questions at interview about that. 

What you can expect to be doing 

• Whilst the coalition currently has almost 40 core member organisations who shape our policy and lead on our shared campaigns, we are looking to grow our network of supporter organisations – these are partners who share our belief in the value of early education and childcare even if they do not work directly in early years policy. The Campaign & Programme Manager will lead a new project to identify, onboard, engage and grow this supporter network, ensuring they remain up to date with the latest research produced by the Coalition and its partners. 

• Managing the progress of this exciting yet complex programme, ensuring research partners are staying connected and all programme outputs feed into our overarching aims. This will include coordinating update meetings for programme partners and ensuring that we stay on track and meet our aims.

• With the support of the Head of Advocacy and our external comms partner, develop a new narrative to raise the profile of the early education workforce and deliver a series of campaign moments across paid, earned and owned media to support this work. 

• Deliver ongoing comms and campaign projects designed to grow the coalition’s profile across a range of stakeholders. 

• Analyse and scope political developments related to the early education and childcare workforce, identifying opportunities to engage and influence. 

• Support the organisation of Coalition in person and online events. 

• Engage collaboratively with Coalition members to coordinate and amplify their collective and individual voices and work. 

• Support with the creation, writing and publication of communication materials including blogs, case studies, press releases and research reports. 

• Work with our research partners to drive the aims of the programme. 

About you 

You will be creative, resourceful and highly effective at building relationships across a wide range of stakeholders. Above all else, you’ll be as passionate as our members about the opportunity that the early years holds for children, families and wider society. 

You will play a pivotal role in driving the aims of our new programme, with responsibility for ensuring all elements of this complex programme are working in unison. You'll also be delivering campaign moments that raise the status of early educators while amplifying our emerging research from this programme, and activating new messaging and narratives. 

With the support of our Head of Advocacy & Communications, you will grow our network of supporters, securing the backing of organisations from across civil society, the business community and the public sector for our shared aims. 

Ideally you will have a good working knowledge of the challenges facing the sector and a good understanding of key influencers in this space including think tanks, MPs and journalists.

You will be a confident communicator with strong writing skills and an eye for detail. The right candidate will be comfortable working in a small team where we all muck-in and benefit from each other’s skills.

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic professional based on the East Coast to both drive high-impact new business from corporations and major donors and build our visibility and external communications to support that goal. This is a new position for Street Child, complementing our existing presence on the West Coast. Major Gift Fundraising (50%)

• Identify, cultivate, and secure partnerships with corporations and major donors, aligning their CSR goals and giving priorities with our mission.
• Leverage existing partnerships and relationships with corporations and major donors to grow a wider network of US-based corporations.
• Develop and manage sponsorship opportunities for campaigns, programs and events.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Variety is looking for an experienced Office and Facilities Manager who is proactive and highly organised to oversee the smooth day-to-day running of our office environment. This role blends operations, facilities management, and a bit of people-first thinking—ensuring the workspace is safe, efficient, and enjoyable for everyone. We own our building in Camden which has three floors and we intend to rent out one of the floors (one floor is c2,628sq feet).  KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 Office Management:

• Oversee daily office operations and maintain a professional, welcoming environment.
• Act as the primary point of contact for office-related vendors (cleaning, supplies, security, etc.).
• Manage office supplies inventory and place orders when necessary.
• Support onboarding/offboarding processes from a facilities perspective
• Handle incoming mail and deliveries and ensure efficient distribution.

Governance:

• Assistance to CEO with diary coordination, organisation of events, meetings, and in-office gatherings.

Facilities Management:

• Oversee building maintenance, safety procedures, and office infrastructure.
• Liaise with tenants, building management, and external contractors to ensure facilities are well-maintained.

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations; manage risk assessments and fire safety drills.
• Lead sustainability initiatives within the office (e.g. recycling, energy-saving practices).

Cost management

· solicit and compare competitive quotes for office services and building making recommendations based on quality, reliability, and value.

· Negotiate contracts to optimise costs without compromising service standards.

• Maintain records of office leases, utilities, and insurance policies.
• Manage access control systems and office security.

About the role 

As our Health & Safety Manager, you will handle the development, implementation, and ongoing management of our Health & Safety systems. You will act as the organisation’s competent person, providing expert advice and guidance, ensuring compliance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and related legislation. 

You will monitor changes in legislation and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement. This includes regularly reviewing and updating Health & Safety policies, procedures, and risk assessments. You will offer practical, accessible advice to colleagues and support them in embedding safe working practices into their day-to-day activities. 

In addition, you will develop and deliver mandatory training programmes, as well as tailored sessions to meet emerging needs. You will manage all incident reporting processes, including RIDDOR notifications to the Health & Safety Executive (HSE), and ensure thorough follow-up. You will also produce regular reports and briefings for senior leadership and Trustees to keep them informed of key issues, trends, and compliance levels. 

This role will require travel and work at locations as necessary on behalf of Sustrans. 

About you 

You should hold a NEBOSH qualification or another recognised Health & Safety certification, with proven experience in managing a system for Health & Safety within an organisation. A strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation and supporting regulations is essential, along with specific knowledge of Health & Safety considerations within the construction sector. 

You will be confident in managing Health & Safety incidents, responding calmly and effectively to ensure appropriate actions are taken, and escalating to senior colleagues when necessary. Strong decision-making skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. 

Excellent analytical and report writing abilities are required, as well as the confidence to present information clearly and effectively to a range of audiences, both in person and virtually.

Job purpose

This is an exciting time to join Action for ME. With developments in research and policy alongside delivering services which are in high demand, you will enjoy working in a fast-paced and continually changing environment. You will be responsible for overseeing operational programme design and delivery, reporting of progress, and measuring the impact of all Action for ME work to improve the lives of people affected by ME. Better meeting their needs today while taking action to secure change for tomorrow. You will also assist the Chief Executive in implementing the organisational strategy, and by adapting and evolving delivery models on the ground. As you will have operational management and oversight for our Healthcare Services and hold the Designated Safeguarding Lead role for the organisation, you will bring considerable services-related experience at a management and leadership level. The Chief Executive will focus predominately on external matters and therefore you must have experience of managing an organisation to achieve high quality programmes with evidenced impact and motivated teams. You will act for the Chief Executive on topics, as agreed, and deputise during their absence.

Key duties

1. Leadership

• Ensure that children and adults with ME are at the heart of everything we do through meaningful engagement and participation to influence all aspects of our work.
• Deputise for the CEO and represent and promote the Charity at national meetings and events.
• Deputise for the CEO during periods of absence, and in relation to specific matters, issues or elements of operation as delegated from time to time by the CEO, ensuring a consistency of approach and decisions aligned with the organisation’s objectives.
• With the CEO and HR Business Partner, lead on implementing the People and Culture Strategy and ensuring our Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging plan is achieved.

2. Operations & management

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the Charity ensuring high quality service provision that meets all best practice, legal and regulatory frameworks and internal policies and procedures.
• Hold overall management responsibility for our Healthcare Services including the role of the CQC Nominated Individual, ensuring all regulatory requirements and compliance are met.

Person specification

Experience and Knowledge

Overview
The Sheldrick Wildlife Trust UK is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to manage our online shop. This hands-on role is vital in supporting our mission to protect wildlife and habitats in Kenya. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of the online store, ensuring a seamless and engaging shopping experience for our supporters.

This is a part-time role at 0.4 FTE (15 hours per week), offer a pro rata salary of £28,000 - £30,000 based on experience.

Key Responsibilities to include:

Online Store Management

• Handle the day-to-day operations of the online shop including ensuring efficient order processing, stock management, quality control of incoming stock, processing customer returns, helping the team with packing orders during busy periods, and ensuring consistently high levels of customer service.
• Plan for the busy Christmas period by assessing workload and engaging the assistance of temporary staff, volunteers and the wider team as necessary.
• Conduct periodic stocktakes to ensure accuracy and reduce shrinkage, identifying any errors and training issues.
• Recommend to the Executive Director any updates to the online store's website to ensure it is user-friendly, visually appealing, and regularly refreshed with new products and promotions.
• Work closely with the Executive Director to develop and implement strategies to drive website traffic and sales.

Product Development and Sourcing

• Identify and recommend new products that will align with the SWT's mission, appeal to supporters and offer a minimum required ROI.
• Manage timely procurement of products and packing materials.
• Develop and maintain good working relationships with suppliers.
• Create new product listings on Shopify including all relevant back-end product information.
• Write compelling descriptions for product listings, creating and adding appropriate imagery.

Volunteer Management

• Periodic review of output of volunteers to raise training issues where necessary to ensure standards are maintained.

Financial Management

• Manage the online shop budget, monitoring expenses and revenue to ensure financial targets are met.
• Work with the Director of Finance to propose the annual online shop budget for Board approval.
• Produce stock reports for the auditors and be the main point of contact for the annual audit of stock.
• Analyse sales data to identify trends and make informed decisions about product offerings and pricing strategies.

Customer Engagement

• Provide excellent customer service, addressing enquiries and resolving issues promptly and effectively.
• Review global shipping methods and suppliers; recommend to the Executive Director and implement changes to make delivery to customers as smooth as possible.

Reporting and Analysis

• Generate regular reports on sales performance, stock levels, and customer feedback.
• Use data insights to propose and implement improvements to the online shop's operations and customer experience.
• Working closely with the Director of Finance, provide reports and insights on the shop data for the Board.
