The Head of Development will be a key member of the Social Sciences Development team within Development and Alumni Engagement (DAE), who will work closely with SoGE and DAE leadership to establish a small Geography team, and to develop a fundraising strategy that serves the School’s goals and grows its philanthropic support.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced major gifts fundraiser who is looking to grow their career in Higher Education through a senior role combining significant fundraising with management of a small team. You will be a collaborative fundraiser with expertise in major gifts and a strong track record of securing complex philanthropic support. The team plays a pivotal role in generating and overseeing referrals for our frontline services whilst managing all children and young people placement-related activity. In this role, you’ll work closely with our Senior Business Development Marketing Manager to drive referral generating activity through both business development and marketing activity. This may include direct mail and advertising campaigns, both on and offline, through to organising and attending events, both those hosted by other organisations and our own. You’ll play an important role in supporting coordination of and delivery of this activity.

You will have the opportunity to develop and implement your expertise in an environment that is focused on the highest clinical and quality standards. Role Requirements

To be successful in this role, you’ll demonstrate:

• An understanding of business development and marketing, ideally be in a services-oriented environment but this is not essential.
• Experience in implementing and managing multi-channel marketing campaigns – both on and offline, whether to consumers (B2C), professionals (B2B), or government departments/professionals (B2G).
• Ability to work well with others – both within the BD&C team and across other departments, including the central marketing and communications team who support implementation of our plans.
• Experience in coordinating multiple projects and tasks at one time.
• Strong administrative, computer and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work in a matrix environment, with resilience, determination and passion.

About the role

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and strong Administrator, preferably with HR recruitment and administrative experience; to support our newly formed people-oriented team. The Children & Young Person’s Advocate will support children at risk of domestic abuse, including sexual violence and stalking within a domestic abuse context within the Thames Valley area. Qualifications

Experience of working with children, young people (18-25) and their families, identified as vulnerable or having complex needs, preferably in a community setting.
Experience of delivering impactful one to one interventions

The Team Manager Role
 
We’re looking for someone to work full time, 37.5 hours a week, to manage our Homlessness Prevention Service for people at risk of homelessness across Worcestershire; to manage the wider team of seniors, coordinators and support workers, and work in partnership with stakeholders to deliver on contractual KPIs. The service also delivers the SWEP Night Shelters across the six districts in Worcestershire.

The role of Case Worker - Mental Health is an excellent opportunity to provide one-to-one tailored support to young people, working collaboratively as part of a multi-agency team, to ensure the safety of young people, and maximise their outcomes. Proactively and continually assessing and managing caseload risks, escalating where necessary through internal and external safeguarding procedures, and adapting case management frequency and methodology to reflect individual needs and circumstances.
Ensuring that the diverse needs and aspirations of all groups of service users are considered in service planning and delivery, to enable all service users to fulfil their potential.
Liaising effectively with local partner organisations, and other relevant agencies, to ensure effective referrals, care, risk management, and ease of transition and referral, for young people.

Qualifications

The Children’s Trust is the UK’s leading charity for children with acquired brain injury, providing expert rehabilitation, education, therapy and care at our national specialist centre in Tadworth, and to children and their families across the UK, via our Community Rehabilitation Service. We are the largest centre commissioned by NHS England for Category A neurorehabilitation.

This role is pivotal in leading on all business development and services-marketing activity to drive and increase brand awareness to ultimately generate referrals, whilst strengthening our position to be the provider of choice to support children with acquired brain injury and neurodisability across the UK and internationally.

You’ll work alongside a cross-organisational team to promote our services to external stakeholders, in particular managing our key account plan to influence, maximise referrals and income generating opportunities. Key to this is cultivating and maintaining relationships with stakeholders including hospital-based clinicians, commissioners at both integrated care boards and local authorities, with professionals with NHS England at a regional and national levels, embassies, medico-legal professionals including case managers and lawyers.
