Bid and research manager jobs

You will have a background of successfully securing grants from trusts and foundations within the charitable sector and have strong grant management skills, from researching prospects through to the production of compelling and successful proposals for funding. With excellent communication and writing skills you will be able to develop persuasive bids and build and steward relationships, demonstrating the impact of funders’ investment. You will be comfortable in managing a busy workload and to strict deadlines, working with our Africa and UK programmes team to achieve key targets and contributing to wider fundraising efforts, including through events and the growth of earned income streams.

62,000 children and young people are bereaved of a parent or sibling every year in the year UK. Our client was the first organisation in the UK to provide specialist support to grieving children and while much has changed since their founding in 1992, their desire to make difference to as many children and young people’s lives as they can remains undimmed. As Trusts & Grants Fundraiser (Interim), you will play a key role in driving income from trusts, grant funders, and statutory bodies to support the organisation. Working closely with the Senior Trusts & Grants Fundraiser, you will identify, research, and approach funding bodies, leading on specific applications and contributing to larger bids.

The organisation are looking for someone with excellent written and verbal communication skills, proven experience in bid writing and reporting, and the ability to research and identify new funding opportunities. You’ll be highly organised, confident managing multiple priorities, and able to build strong relationships with funders through outstanding stewardship.

Summary of the role:

As the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL)  Officer focuses on strengthening and supporting the various projects, including the collection of programme wide statistics to detail the reach and results of Muslim Aid UK  (MAUK) programmes. The MEAL Officer will provide guidance, coordination, and technical support to Country Offices and Partner’s MEAL systems through MAUK Programmes, ensuring that the programme has the flexibility to respond appropriately to the context while ensuring quality, effectiveness and responsiveness in line with humanitarian standards, as well as compliance with the Institutional donors.

The position supports a robust monitoring system that facilitates both accountability and learning and includes data collection, analysis, learning reflection and timely action-taking in support of quality service delivery.

You will play a critical role in this unit with an exciting mandate to support and improve the dynamic programmatic portfolio Muslim Aid Implements Globally. You will work closely with partners and country offices and contribute to improving systems within IPD.

About the Role:

1. Collaborate with the MEAL Manager, country offices and partners staff to craft MEAL systems that align with the project, and MAUK Global objectives, are relevant to the context, responsive to assessed needs, are measurable and are in compliance with grant requirements.
2. Ensure that all relevant collaborators have timely access to appropriate information and evidence.
3. Support in the review and prepare timely and accurate MEAL reports, including progress reports and impact assessments.
4. Provide assistance in monitoring programme progress including the design of appropriate MEAL Plans, indicators, targets, baseline data, timelines, data collection tools that can track progress of projects’ progress.
5. Support the preparation of terms of reference of external and internal evaluations, case and impact studies in coordination with the focal points.
6. Support the MEAL Manager on building capacity among staff and partners in MEAL concepts and practices.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. Bachelor’s degree required; postgraduate degree in international development, sustainable livelihoods, humanitarianism, or programme management preferred.
2. Understanding of development programmes design, implementation and evaluation.
3. Experience and understanding of monitoring and evaluation of programmes; using of quantitative and qualitative research data collected in support of programme development.
4. Experience developing logical/results frameworks, indicators, and MEAL plans.
5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; effective in diverse and challenging environments.
6. Strong measurement, analytical, systematic thinking, planning and organisational skills.

Cross-Income Stream Support

About the Role

This is a rare opportunity to take a senior leadership role at North London Open Spaces, and directly contribute to and make a meaningful impact in the conservation and protection of these cherished green spaces. 

As a member of the senior management team, the successful candidate will serve as the primary subject matter expert at NLOS for nature conservation, conceiving and leading on initiatives, advising colleagues, and working collaboratively both internally and externally.  They will have responsibility for overseeing the day-to-day management of most of Hampstead Heath and all of Highgate Wood, and will also oversee a number of services that function across and support the four open spaces (eg, arboriculture and tree management, waste and recycling, conservation, and ecology).  

For the better performance of their duties, the Head of Conservation will be required to reside in accommodation that is provided on site and will be scheduled onto an on-call and duty manager rota with other colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary subject matter expert for nature conservation at Hampstead Heath, Highgate Wood, Queen’s Park, and West Ham Park
• Oversee the day-to-day management of Highgate Wood and most of Hampstead Heath
• Oversee arboriculture / tree management, waste management, conservation, habitat creation/restoration and management, wildlife management, water body management, and climate change adaptation across North London Open Spaces
• Lead and motivate a team of 25-30 multi-skilled professionals committed to the conservation of these four sites
• Ensure compliance with all applicable legislation, including environmental protection, climate change, nature recovery, wildlife protection, flood risk management, and health and safety.

Key Responsibilities

Programme Leadership & Delivery

• Lead the design and strategic direction of our Digital Skills programme, Ensure the service we are providing is high-quality, impactful, trauma-informed and aligned with Screen Share’s 2026–2030 strategy.

• Oversee the onboarding and support of hundreds of refugees looking to develop digitally, including supporting with the development of their Independent Learning Plan’s and journeys through Digital Champions 

• Recruite, coordinate and support our digital champions and staff to provide high-quality online and in-person classes, 1:1 support and effective sign-posting

• Maintain oversight of multiple Screen Share digital skills projects delivered over multiple locations. 

• Trial innovative digital inclusion tools and approaches.

Monitoring, Evaluation & Impact

• Design and oversee comprehensive impact measurement and monitoring and evaluation frameworks to ensure the programme is most effective 

• Produce clear, data-centered programme and impact reports (quantitative and qualitative) for existing and prospective funders and partners 

• Embed continuous learning and client reflections into programme design and improvement.
   

People & Volunteers

• Recruit, train and support Digital Champions and volunteers in a trauma-informed way

Partnerships & Fundraising

• Support our Outreach team in building and maintaining strong partnerships with our corporate, charity and government partners

• Hold accountability for the Digital Skills programme budget, reporting regular updates to the CEO 

• Ensure compliance with GDPR, safeguarding and H&S policies.

• Oversee the prompt and accurate reporting of safeguarding incidents to Screen Share’s DSL, and contribute to the development of our safeguarding as an essential element of our work

We are seeking a part-time Trusts and Grants Fundraiser to help raise funds for these vital projects by researching and writing applications and reports to charitable trusts and foundations, and by supporting grant applications to public funders. Responsibilities

The Trusts and Grants Fundraiser will lead on our applications, reporting and the administration of our appeals to charitable trusts and foundations, and support bids to public funders.

You will:

• maintain and manage our existing pipeline of charitable trusts and foundations

• undertake research and identify trusts and foundations whose priorities align with our work, in line with organisational priorities

• work closely with the General Manager and Director of Education to research, prepare and submit high quality, compelling applications, ranging from 4-6 figures and including multi-year proposals

• record applications made, track outcomes and provide reports for finance and management

• prepare timely updates and reports to funders that communicate the impact of their support and maximise the opportunity for ongoing or future support, working with colleagues to ensure feedback, case studies, data and financial information is available as required

• work closely with colleagues to maximise the opportunities of stewardship and long-term cultivation, e.g. by inviting funders to events and projects where appropriate

The Talent Set are delighted to partner with The Talent Foundry in their search for a Head of Fundraising role.  The Talent Foundry is dedicated to helping young people from under-served communities unlock their potential and prepare for the world of work or higher education.They are looking to increase unrestricted income from fundraising outside of corporate partnerships. This senior position involves leading strategic fundraising efforts to secure vital income, leading a small team across fundraising and marketing.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for all of fundraising income and to develop structure of fundraising  to diversify income streams
• Design and implement effective fundraising strategies
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with current and prospective donors and partners
• Lead and support fundraising and marketing teams, fostering an inclusive and collaborative environment
• Plan, coordinate, and deliver fundraising campaigns and events
• Track, analyse, and report on fundraising performance metrics
• Identify new funding opportunities and stay updated on sector trends
• Represent the organisation at external engagements to build awareness and support

Person Specification

• Experience in leading successful fundraising programmes within the charity sector with experience from one of the following areas: Trust and Foundations, Major Gifts, Corporate Partnership  
• Ability to be strategic and also hands as fundraising on to meet the needs of a smaller charity
• Would suit an ambitious experienced manager looking to develop their career
• Strong relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholder groups
• Strategic thinker with excellent organisational abilities
• Effective communicator capable of engaging a wide audience
• Leadership qualities to motivate teams and volunteers
• Analytical and results-focused with attention to detail
• Budget management and resource allocation skills

What’s on Offer
Salary: £45,000
Role is home based but with commitment to travel to London for meetings 1-3 times a month.

Role Overview: Knowledge in grant-funding, capacity building, organisational support

We are seeking a proactive and collaborative Charity Support Officer to help deliver AWN’s mission. You will be the first point of contact for grassroots charities, supporting them to strengthen their organisations and improve their chances of securing grant funding by offering practical guidance, signposting, and building trusted relationships that help them grow in confidence and resilience. The role includes helping organisations strengthen governance and compliance, sharing information on grant-funding opportunities, and supporting them to identify challenges and develop practical solutions.
 
The non-profits you will support work across a wide range of areas for example: women, health and wellbeing, youth, homelessness and poverty, family services, sports, faith groups, crime and gangs, prisoners and ex-offenders, refugees and asylum seekers, drug addiction, older people and rehabilitation, and many more. 
 
Bringing a strong awareness of the barriers facing small charities particularly Muslim-led groups, will be key to helping them build long-term sustainability and impact. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the first point of contact for charities and community groups, managing a varied caseload and balancing priorities. 

• Carry out needs assessments to understand organisations strengths, challenges, and funding needs, and develop clear action plans. 

• Provide tailored support, including health checks on governance, compliance, finances, and funding readiness, offering recommendations and signposting to specialist services (e.g., Cranfield Trust, CVS, Charity Excellence etc). 

• Advise on funding opportunities, strategy, and application readiness, with referrals to bid-writing support where needed. 

• Deliver workshops, webinars, events, and one-to-one sessions to build skills, knowledge, and confidence of UK grassroots organisations. 

• Work collaboratively with organisations and AWN colleagues (including via the triage and referral system) to identify challenges and develop practical, sustainable solutions. 

• Build and maintain strong relationships with charities, funders, and sector partners across the voluntary, public, and charity sectors. 

• Represent AWN at external events, conferences, and meetings, helping to organise and deliver events linked to your work. 

• Keep accurate records on the CRM, gather feedback, write case studies, and contribute to monitoring, evaluation, and service development. 

• Support AWN’s communications by contributing updates for the website and social media. 

What We’re Looking For 

We’re looking for someone who is approachable, empathetic, and motivated to make a difference. You’ll have a natural ability to listen, build trust, and meet people where they are, while offering constructive and practical support. Patience, curiosity, and cultural awareness will help you understand the diverse realities of grassroots charities and the communities they serve. 
 
Alongside these personal qualities, you’ll bring a good understanding of the charity sector and the challenges facing small non-profits across the UK, for UK Muslim-led organisations. You’ll have exceptional knowledge of governance, compliance, and funding pathways, and the confidence to guide organisations towards growth, resilience, and long-term impact. 

Essential Criteria 

• 3+ years’ experience within the UK charity sector (domestic, not solely international). 

• Strong understanding of charity governance, compliance, and the UK funding and grant-making landscape. 

• Insight into the needs and challenges of small and grassroots non-profits, with awareness of the systemic barriers affecting Muslim-led organisations. 

• Experience supporting or advising charities, community groups, or local networks to build capacity and resilience. 

• Ability to work collaboratively with organisations, offering constructive and practical guidance. 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with confidence in public speaking and engaging a wide range of stakeholders. 

• Strong organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities. 

• Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.  

• Comfortable working autonomously and as part of a small team, with minimal supervision. 

• Confident using technology to deliver support and manage work effectively, including CRM systems, Microsoft Teams, and other digital tools. 

• Experience in one or more of the following areas: 
  - Community engagement and outreach 
  - Event or project coordination (online and in-person) 
  - Delivering presentations, workshops, or training sessions 
  - Monitoring, evaluation, and learning activities

Fundraising Lead

Salary: 47,000 to 57,000 dependent on experience

• Building their own new business pipeline, as well as developing and closing 5, 6 and 7 figure partnerships with major companies.
• Responsible for the entire new business process, from seeking out new potential partners via our networks, or through research, to developing compelling proposals and pitches and closing deals.
• A strong networker and relationship builder, driven by targets and results.
• Capable of working closely with the account management team and other internal stakeholders, and adept at keeping accurate records to enable effective handover and forecasting.

STEM Learning is looking for a candidate with high value fundraising experience, particular in corporate fundraising. Some experience of major donor fundraising would be beneficial as we look to build a philanthropy programme.

• Demonstrable experience of winning 5 and 6 figure partnerships with major blue chip companies.
• A strong understanding of current CSR and sustainability trends and issues and how that relates to charity partnerships.
• A mentality that is target driven and will be able to evidence a track record of hitting and achieving fundraising targets.
• Even if you do not have experience working in education or with young people, you are able to demonstrate a passion for the power of STEM and education to impact young peoples’ lives.
