Role Purpose:

This is a very exciting time for The Social Change Nest. We continue a trajectory of steep growth, onboarding and supporting hundreds of new groups every year. We are working closely with funders worldwide, helping them move large amounts of funding to unincorporated movements at the frontlines of social change. We are spending more time than ever raising awareness on how capital flows impact the ability of communities to create change, and how we can hack the system to enable more money to flow in an equitable way to unincorporated movements. We are looking for somebody who is excited about all this and ready to hit the ground running.

About the Social Change Nest

At the Social Change Nest (SCN), we’re radically transforming the funding landscape and strengthening civil society. We remove the financial and administrative barriers – like bank accounts and legal structures – that often prevent communities, grassroots groups and informal movements from accessing funding and focusing on their core mission. We also work closely with funders, enabling them to support social action with confidence and transparency.

We currently support over 700 groups across the UK and abroad addressing issues such as social injustice, climate, housing, wellbeing and animal rights. We are at the forefront of fiscal hosting in Europe and, since our inception in 2021, we have supported groups in securing over £50 million in funding, helping them take advantage of opportunities that may have otherwise been unavailable.

Key Responsibilities:

 Business Development

• Work with the Development Lead and the Head of Development to ensure that all new groups have an excellent onboarding experience that is both timely and values aligned.
• Deliver high-quality bid proposals and pitch documents to support business growth.
• Develop and implement client management and engagement strategies, including our philanthropic networks, enhancing relationships and delivering value.
• Quickly build strong rapport with funders and community groups to ensure effective implementation of our strategy.

Pipeline & Financial Management

• Analyse and present HubSpot data to inform strategic decisions and refine our offering.
• Support the Head of Development in managing the budgeting processes and preparing essential documentation for pitches and contracts.

Integration

• Support the integration of Development with other departments.
• Work closely with other members of the Development team to ensure our work is an orchestrated effort to deliver our strategic goals.
• Spot opportunities for increased efficiency, build processes where missing, contribute to the overall development of the organisation.

Skills and Experience:

• Proven business development expertise in the philanthropic sector with a track record of winning new business, and able to apply these skills to enhance our business development strategies.
• A good understanding of the philanthropic and grant-making sectors in the UK, Europe and the USA, with the ability to use this to enrich our strategies and client interactions.
• Able to use your knowledge and skills to identify and seize opportunities for growth through partnerships, projects and clients.
• Numerate and adept at analysing data to derive insights that guide business planning and strategy.
• Outstanding customer service skills, both proactive and reactive. Your reliability, trustworthiness, and ability to respond to our clients’ needs set you apart.

Headway North Staffordshire is at an exciting stage, having undergone many changes but now focused on the delivery of new strategic plans. Purpose of the job

As Corporate Partnerships Manager, you will be joining a supportive and highly ambitious Corporate Partnerships Team sitting within the wider Fundraising Department. Key responsibilities

Account Management

• Lead on the account management of a portfolio of UK Youth’s high-value corporate partners, maximising income and wider partnership value for UK Youth.

• Uphold and maintain account management and new business processes, including individual stewardship plans, accurate recording of activity on the CRM, income pipeline tracking and due diligence.

Experience We're After

Key details

The successful candidate will have strong negotiating and influencing skills, and the ability to work independently, with board-level accountability, and be expected to develop and sustain extensive national networks across local authorities, the NHS, the voluntary sector and central Government. Possessing an adaptability in working practice together with a self-motivated, proactive approach that performs well under pressure, the successful candidate will be educated to Masters level with ongoing study in public health. In addition, they should have senior management training or equivalent experience and a clear record of continuing professional development. Experience should include at least five years in the public health environment, including in policy development, plus a minimum of three years in operational, financial and resource management.

Accountable to our Board of Trustees and the wider membership, the new CEO will develop the strategic direction of the Association and lead the organisation to deliver a rolling medium-term Strategic Business Plan, balanced budgets and effective governance in compliance with company and charity law. An ability to prioritise planned and reactive work programmes to meet the needs of our membership is required, alongside the sourcing and delivery of timely bids for external funding together with the management of staff and resources to ensure value for money and staff wellbeing.

The post holder will support the President, Vice‑President, Board and ADPH Council by applying public health knowledge through teaching, coaching, publishing and presenting as appropriate, maintaining a personal programme of continuing professional development, and be expected to uphold the Association’s values of members first, excellence, collaboration, inclusion and professionalism. About the role

This is a dynamic, strategic role and as Head of Therapeutic Services, you will exercise person-centred clinical responsibility for Woman’s Trust (WT), counselling, groupwork and other therapeutic services.

Reporting to the CEO, this role will oversee the day-to-day delivery of seamless, highquality service across all of our client-facing provisions. You will support the CEO to ensure the future development of WT by leading the frontline staff team in the provision of high-quality, relevant and safe services to survivors of violence and abuse in line with WT’s aims and principles.

As Head of Therapeutic Services, a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will work closely with colleagues across WT, to plan and implement quality improvement plans in order to deliver outstanding services in an efficient and cost-effective manner. This role will deputise for the CEO when necessary.

Working with key stakeholders to ensure that WT counselling services are delivered to a high professional standard, in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework and the person-centred approach.

Leading on the development of new opportunities for the enhancement and expansion of WT counselling services, on the clinical representation of WT services to external bodies and involvement in campaigning for the improvement of services for women experiencing DA, and to be the safeguarding lead for WT.
