Sounds great, what will I be doing?

The Senior Business Development Manager will work closely with the Health Team to identify, develop, and propose new initiatives, contributing to Hestia's ambitious growth targets. They will lead on tenders that align with organisational priorities, finalising technical questions and method statements, and ensuring submissions are completed accurately and on time. The role involves bid writing and review support, conducting research into health and business development models, and exploring integrated funding opportunities. The post-holder will also work alongside Operations and HR teams to develop staffing structures, service delivery models, and financial plans, including modelling the impact of TUPE where relevant.

In addition, the Senior Business Development Manager will support the mobilisation of successful tenders, participate in presentations and clarification interviews, and evaluate outcomes to inform future submissions. They will contribute to Hestia's development strategy by identifying new growth opportunities, supporting service redevelopment, and fostering partnerships or consortia as effective delivery methods. The role requires engagement with commissioners, attendance at strategic forums, production of reports, and participation in internal working groups, while maintaining commercial confidentiality and pursuing personal training and development to enhance understanding of Hestia's services.

We are seeking a highly organised and effective communicator with strong written and presentation skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in research, analysis, and preparing reports and recommendations. Experience in tender bid writing is essential. You should have a good understanding of safeguarding and the ability to address issues appropriately, along with knowledge of Health and Adult Social Care funding initiatives. The role requires someone experienced in working collaboratively within teams, providing professional technical advice, and supporting projects from inception to completion.

Transformation Hub Manager

Location: Mainly our head office in E12, but also in other venues around the borough of Newham as directed.

For over five decades, the Renewal Programme has been a trusted cornerstone of the community in the London Borough of Newham, tackling the root causes and consequences of poverty, isolation, and disadvantage.

Role overview

The Transformation Hub Manager will play a pivotal role in reshaping our service offerings by creating a vibrant, inclusive, and strengths-based hub for our communities - many of who are underserved, including asylum seekers, refugees, residents facing isolation, and those affected by homelessness. You will lead on the delivery and successful management of our National Lottery funded RenewALL Hub, transforming our ideas from concept into a sustainable, impactful centre for community wellbeing. Central to this role is continuing to drive the shift from a crisis-led service model to a holistic, strengths-based approach, ensuring the RenewALL hub empowers Newham residents to connect, grow, and thrive. A major part of this transformation will be designing and delivering a wide range of new activities and services. Crucially, the Hub will not just deliver activities for residents but will be co-designed and co-produced with them, embedding lived experience and the voice of the community at its core. Success will depend on your ability to build and lead a coherent, motivated team of staff and volunteers, uniting them behind the shared vision of the Hub. Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Hub Development

• Lead a team to ensure the successful implementation of the RenewALL Hub project, as submitted to the National Lottery Community Fund, aligning all activities with our “Open House” strategy and theory of change.
• Champion and embed a strengths-based, “advantaged thinking” culture across all Hub operations, actively shifting the focus from deficits to assets.
• Build and inspire a coherent, motivated team of staff and volunteers, uniting them around a shared vision for transformation.

Programme Design & Community Co-Production

• Oversee the design, delivery, and continuous evaluation of a diverse, inclusive weekly programme of activities, informed by community consultation and resident priorities.
• Manage a portfolio of activities that improve wellbeing, reduce isolation, and build skills — including health & wellbeing sessions, cultural celebrations, social connection groups, and learning opportunities.
• Facilitate and champion the Community Hub Involvement Panel (CHIP), ensuring residents co-produce activities and influence the Hub’s direction, with a pathway to influencing trustee-level decision making.

Partnership Development

• Build and strengthen partnerships with key stakeholders, including NHS teams, Public Health colleagues and social prescribers, creating integrated wellbeing pathways for Newham residents.
• Maintain and expand relationships with local organisations, agencies, and community groups, ensuring the Hub complements and connects with wider services.

Community Food & Social Connection

• Provide oversight (via the Food Sustainability Coordinator) for all food-related initiatives, ensuring they align with the Hub’s ethos of dignity, choice, and resilience.
• Direct the strategic transition from over-reliance on a traditional Food Bank to an empowering Food Club model, reinforcing pathways from crisis to independence.

Operational Leadership

• Oversee the day-to-day running of the Hub space, ensuring it is safe, welcoming, and open 7 days a week.
• Coordinate and support staff, volunteers, and sessional workers across the Hub, embedding strong safeguarding and trauma-informed practice.

Promotion & Outreach

• Work with the marketing team to promote the Hub’s activities widely, ensuring strong engagement from under-represented and vulnerable groups.
• Conduct outreach to engage under represented residents, ensuring activities are culturally inclusive and accessible.

Monitoring, Evaluation & Compliance

• Lead on the monitoring and evaluation requirements of our Lottery bid.
• Use monitoring and evaluation tools (e.g., Upshot) to track engagement, outcomes, and impact, ensuring activities remain effective and relevant.
• Ensure compliance with all necessary regulations, safeguarding, and legal requirements.

Person Specification

• Passionate about community empowerment, inclusion, and tackling inequalities
• Commitment to strengths-based and dignity-first approaches, especially in working with marginalised communities (e.g., refugees, asylum seekers, people experiencing homelessness)
• Significant experience in leading community development or social impact projects

About the Role

This is a rare opportunity to take a senior leadership role at North London Open Spaces, and directly contribute to and make a meaningful impact in the conservation and protection of these cherished green spaces. 

As a member of the senior management team, the successful candidate will serve as the primary subject matter expert at NLOS for nature conservation, conceiving and leading on initiatives, advising colleagues, and working collaboratively both internally and externally.  They will have responsibility for overseeing the day-to-day management of most of Hampstead Heath and all of Highgate Wood, and will also oversee a number of services that function across and support the four open spaces (eg, arboriculture and tree management, waste and recycling, conservation, and ecology).  

For the better performance of their duties, the Head of Conservation will be required to reside in accommodation that is provided on site and will be scheduled onto an on-call and duty manager rota with other colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary subject matter expert for nature conservation at Hampstead Heath, Highgate Wood, Queen’s Park, and West Ham Park
• Oversee the day-to-day management of Highgate Wood and most of Hampstead Heath
• Oversee arboriculture / tree management, waste management, conservation, habitat creation/restoration and management, wildlife management, water body management, and climate change adaptation across North London Open Spaces
• Lead and motivate a team of 25-30 multi-skilled professionals committed to the conservation of these four sites
• Ensure compliance with all applicable legislation, including environmental protection, climate change, nature recovery, wildlife protection, flood risk management, and health and safety.

About You

We are looking for a high-energy and innovative leader with a strong background in nature conservation, open space management, and team leadership. 

The successful candidate will bring:

• Demonstrable experience in managing complex public open spaces.
• Comprehensive experience developing and delivering biodiversity and land management programmes and projects in a range of habitats, ideally within an urban setting.

• Significant experience managing complex conservation work and projects across varied landscapes
• Significant knowledge of biodiversity and wildlife management, including land and water management.

• Strong experience managing a diverse team of professionals in an operational environment. 

• Experience of implementing legislation and policy relevant to biodiversity conservation, planning guidance, and site designation for wildlife conservation and species status designations.
• A highly creative, entrepreneurial and ‘can do’ approach to problem solving, with the ability to remain resilient in the face of challenges.

Summary of the role:

As the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL)  Officer focuses on strengthening and supporting the various projects, including the collection of programme wide statistics to detail the reach and results of Muslim Aid UK  (MAUK) programmes. The MEAL Officer will provide guidance, coordination, and technical support to Country Offices and Partner’s MEAL systems through MAUK Programmes, ensuring that the programme has the flexibility to respond appropriately to the context while ensuring quality, effectiveness and responsiveness in line with humanitarian standards, as well as compliance with the Institutional donors.

The position supports a robust monitoring system that facilitates both accountability and learning and includes data collection, analysis, learning reflection and timely action-taking in support of quality service delivery.

You will play a critical role in this unit with an exciting mandate to support and improve the dynamic programmatic portfolio Muslim Aid Implements Globally. You will work closely with partners and country offices and contribute to improving systems within IPD.

About the Role:

1. Collaborate with the MEAL Manager, country offices and partners staff to craft MEAL systems that align with the project, and MAUK Global objectives, are relevant to the context, responsive to assessed needs, are measurable and are in compliance with grant requirements.
2. Ensure that all relevant collaborators have timely access to appropriate information and evidence.
3. Support in the review and prepare timely and accurate MEAL reports, including progress reports and impact assessments.

We are seeking a proactive and collaborative Charity Support Officer to help deliver AWN’s mission. You will be the first point of contact for grassroots charities, supporting them to strengthen their organisations and improve their chances of securing grant funding by offering practical guidance, signposting, and building trusted relationships that help them grow in confidence and resilience. The role includes helping organisations strengthen governance and compliance, sharing information on grant-funding opportunities, and supporting them to identify challenges and develop practical solutions.

Bringing a strong awareness of the barriers facing small charities particularly Muslim-led groups, will be key to helping them build long-term sustainability and impact. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the first point of contact for charities and community groups, managing a varied caseload and balancing priorities. 

• Carry out needs assessments to understand organisations strengths, challenges, and funding needs, and develop clear action plans. 

• Provide tailored support, including health checks on governance, compliance, finances, and funding readiness, offering recommendations and signposting to specialist services (e.g., Cranfield Trust, CVS, Charity Excellence etc). 

• Advise on funding opportunities, strategy, and application readiness, with referrals to bid-writing support where needed. 

• Deliver workshops, webinars, events, and one-to-one sessions to build skills, knowledge, and confidence of UK grassroots organisations. 

• Work collaboratively with organisations and AWN colleagues (including via the triage and referral system) to identify challenges and develop practical, sustainable solutions.

Purpose

The Programme Officer will be responsible for supporting the effective implementation of project delivery activities across our portfolio, predominantly in Africa, Europe, Central Asia, and the Middle East. 

The post holder will support project delivery, ensuring quality expectations (internal and client), delivering within the scope and budgeted resources of projects, and in line with project timelines. The post holder will work closely with other members of the project delivery team, our technical team, delivery partners, and consultants to ensure projects maximise their positive impact.

The Programme Officer will also support the Senior Programme Manager to disseminate good management practice across the organisation, and advise on delivery approaches.

The responsibilities of the Programme Officer include the following:

• Set-up and monitor project workplans, including change requests ensuring that approvals are formally recorded and filed
• Manage day-to-day relationships with delivery partners and internal team(s) and build a solid understanding of delivery needs and timelines across projects
• Monitor and support timely client and consultant billing and invoices attached to delivery
• Support onboarding of consultants for new projects, including due diligence checks and contract preparation based on set templates
• Ensure project management software and tools are accurate and kept up to date for allocated projects
• Provide timely responses to client queries and alert the Head of UK/Kenya Programme Management of any potential risks
• Lead duty of care and travel planning for staff and consultants, working alongside administrative officers
• Liaise closely with technical colleagues, Head of team, and Programme Managers / Officers on project support needs.

 Project Financial Management

• Monitor project budget performance, capturing variances and liaising with the Finance Team and Head of UK/Kenya Programme Management
• Monitor and support the processing of consultants’ expenses/fees against contracts and client invoices against contracts
• Make recommendations to ensure financial outcomes are met with respect to time, quality and cost, and provide early warning of project overspend
• Prepare internal project update reporting including finances and resourcing using required management tools. 

Organisational Support and Business Development

• Provide support in strengthening policies, procedures, and management tools for Development Pathways
• Coordinate with wider project teams to ensure technical capacity is well planned across Development Pathways’ portfolio of projects 
• Signpost colleagues to relevant project management tools and processes, when required
• Support project closure processes as required, capturing and sharing lessons internally
• Provide ad hoc input to evolving organisational requirements as directed by senior members
• Assist with the identification and monitoring of business opportunities in donor markets, as requested
• Update SharePoint and ensure project data sheets are developed and up to date to facilitate bids for tenders
• Collate and share project information to support the Business Development and Communications department.

Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours

The Programme Officer will require the following combination of applied skills, knowledge, and behaviours to successfully contribute to team goals:

Required:

• An undergraduate degree in an appropriate subject 
• Up to 2 years’ experience working on project support or delivery within international development,  research and/or the consultancy sector
• Ability and confidence to work independently and manage their own workflows
• Good communication skills and an ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with a broad range of stakeholders at the individual level and in representation of the organisation
• Excellent drafting skills.
•  Ability to understand and effectively analyse and utilise financial information
• Proven ability to resolve problems, anticipate barriers and create practical solutions
• High IT proficiency (Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), SharePoint, etc.)
• Demonstrated attention to detail ensuring quality standards are maintained
• Ability to travel internationally when required.

Advantageous:

• 1-2 years direct project management experience
• Proficiency in additional languages, especially Arabic or French.

Your role will also be responsible for ensuring that we operate within UK legal & regulatory frameworks and stay up to date with changes in relevant legislation. This will sometimes include an international scope as EarthPercent operates in other territories too. 

Trusts and Foundations Fundraiser 

We are seeking a motivated Trusts and Foundations Fundraiser to secure vital income and build strong partnerships with funders across the UK.

Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 per annum (pro rata for part time hours)
Location: Remote, UK wide
Hours: 30 – 37.5 hours per week (permanent)
 

About the role

As Trusts and Foundations Fundraiser, you will play a key role in generating income to support our mission of sharing the joy of live music in care settings. You will manage a portfolio of small and medium value trusts and foundations, writing compelling funding proposals and delivering excellent stewardship to strengthen long-term relationships.

Overview of the Job:

• Preparing tailored applications to trusts and foundations in line with organisational strategy and values.
• Managing and developing relationships with funders, providing regular updates and impact reports.
• Undertaking prospect research to identify new funding opportunities.
• Supporting larger-scale applications in collaboration with the Trusts and Foundations Fundraising Manager.
• Working with internal teams to gather data, acknowledge donations, and ensure accurate reporting.
• Contributing to the strategic planning and stewardship approach for trust fundraising.
