What you’ll do

• Take responsibility for the examinations enquiries telephone line and emails.
• Support administrators with the marking of candidates’ answer sheets and produce reports of candidates and question performance using the marking software.

About the Role:  We wish to appoint a Social Media Coordinator to join our small Communications and Engagement team.  This is an exciting opportunity to increase the engagement of the Diocese of Winchester through digital media channels.

You will be responsible for sharing the life of the diocese and positive content about Christian faith through social media with particular relation to sharing news and stories about the 2025 Bid for national funding (awarded by the national church to dioceses to support them to undertake transformational programmes aimed at revitalising mission and ministry and growing the Kingdom of God in terms of numbers of worshippers and depth of faith). 

This role also includes equipping our churches to reach out using digital tools and social media platforms with a particular emphasis on younger audiences, in line with our Bid’s priorities to grow younger and more diverse as a diocesan community.

Job Summary

• Developing the diocese’s social media presence on its current platforms – Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn– developing content and campaigns according to an annual content plan which incorporates all church seasons, awareness days, liturgical events, as well as sharing the key messages and events from the Diocese particularly in relation to the 2025 Bid for national funding. 
• Working closely with the Comms team, Strategic Development team and senior staff to identify stories and examples of good ministerial practice and creative ideas that can be communicated with our wider diocesan community through social media, fostering a culture of information and ideas sharing across the diocese. 
• Being part of wider strategic conversations to consider the role of social media in how the diocese can effectively communicate information about the Bid process and how benefices can engage with it, particularly in communicating with children, youth and families and youth leaders. 
• Assist with the development of a strategic plan which grows the diocesan presence on new platforms, such as TikTok and BlueSky, with the specific aim of generating content that reaches younger audiences and that is more missional and ‘gospel-centred’, keeping up to date with online trends.
• Working closely with Mission and Ministry Team to communicate their training and events in ways tailored to younger audiences, and building collaborative networks of young people and youth leaders and comms people around the diocese who will share our content. 
• Equipping our parishes with digital skills in using social media through training, getting them started on appropriate platforms and advising them on content and strategy to connect with existing and new audiences, as part of a suite of interventions offered as part of the 2024 Bid for funding and aligning with aims to help our diocesan community grow younger and more diverse. 
• Using online tools in data analysis, reporting on social media engagement, and scheduling tools such as Buffer. 
• Engaging with other social media users within and outside our community, including regularly interaction with parishes and diocesan communities, sharing their stories and commenting, replying to messages and queries, and being an ambassador for the diocese and our Christian faith and values. 
• Ensuring our social media platforms allow stakeholders to provide comments and feedback on all that we do and to create a culture of shared ownership and storytelling. 
• Working consistently within and upholding the diocese’s brand values/tone of voice and within the Archbishop’s social media guidelines as well as the diocese’s own social media policy.
• Supporting the other members of the comms team with creating designed content using tools like Canva and video for use on social media sites and offering creative ideas within the team context.

Key role requirements

This is an office-based role, with the expectation to work from the office 1 day per week.

About you

We are seeking someone who can demonstrate the following qualifications, experience and skills:

• Educated to at least degree level is preferable
• An excellent level of English is essential
• Good skills in both written and verbal communication
• Experience of using social media and designing campaigns to share stories of Christian faith, grow online community and reach younger audiences
• Some experience with audio, photography, video editing for multi-channel use
• Familiarity with graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or other editing tools
• Experience of working within, or alongside, the Church of England or another Christian charity or mission organisation desirable

ROLE SUMMARY

We have ambitious plans and the Head of Fundraising will make a significant contribution to future growth; you will manage the Fundraising and Events team with oversight of income generation from various sources including major donors, individuals, trusts & foundations and a portfolio of events.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

The Head of Fundraising will contribute to upReach's mission by meeting financial targets, recognising when to make the fundraising ‘ask’ and leading the annual budget process. You will use clear, creative written communication to produce convincing cases for support, represent the charity at relevant networking events, work closely with the upReach Development Board and act as an ambassador for the organisation.

Reporting to the Director of Income Generation and External Engagement you will manage three direct reports and support individuals participating in the Future Charity Leaders Programme (upReach’s graduate scheme). You will work closely with  the Head of Partnerships, CEO, Programmes and Finance teams and other colleagues across the income generating and external engagement team.

The core responsibilities include: 

Leadership and strategy 

• Lead fundraising and philanthropy to realise financial targets (2025/26: £2.45m).

• Securing 5 and 6 figure gifts. 

• Inspire staff and volunteers to excel and achieve, champion the upReach values.

• Commit to the annual appraisal process and develop stretching, SMART OKRs (objectives and key results) to meet our strategic goals. 

• Deputise for the Director in their absence and play an key role in the Income Generation & External Engagement Leadership Team.

• Lead the strategic and operational planning process for the functional areas of responsibility and ensure the involvement of relevant stakeholders. 

• Keep abreast of developments, changes in trends, new techniques and legislation. 

• Ensure planned activity is delivered in compliance with relevant charity law, other legislation, best practice and corporate policy.

• Act as a senior sounding board to ensure strategic decisions regarding donors and funders resonate with our objectives and mission.

• Contribute to strategic thinking including risk management and mitigation.

• Collate and present timely monthly management reports for each income stream.

• Lead the annual budget and financial forecasting processes to facilitate reporting and  strategic-decision making.

Working with stakeholders (internal and external) 

• Collaborate with colleagues to identify and secure all various income generating and profile raising opportunities, ensuring maximum impact and contribution from funders. 

• Lead, champion and model a culture of outstanding donor stewardship and supporter care; including best practice and behaviour. 

• Develop and foster effective relationships with key external contacts at all levels, e.g. donors, supporters, suppliers. 

• Make the fundraising ‘ask’ as and when appropriate, or support others to do so.

• Respond promptly to requests for information and action from supporters.

• Report and disseminate the key issues to emerge from supporter feedback. 

• Manage the complaints procedures for the department and conduct full investigation of all complaints received by the department.

Developing, maintaining systems and procedures 

• Determine and manage the operating systems needed to deliver activity and enable effective donor, supporter and volunteer relationship management. 

• Effectively develop the donor journey.

• Ensure records in the CRM are up to date.

• Conduct analysis of data from across functions responsible for, drawing conclusions, making recommendations to the Director. 

• Ensure the management of systems and processes comply with the organisation’s data protection obligations, charity law and other legal requirements.

People Management and Team Working

• Recruit and lead the Fundraising team, rotatees and volunteers as required.

• Ensure upReach promotes a high performance culture and professional integrity.

• Continue to develop the skills and knowledge of you and your team to ensure you are up-to-date with changing regulation and fundraising best practices.

• Lead and model the implementation of business improvement and people development initiatives including training and rotations.

• Collaborate with colleagues across the department and organisation.

Major Donors and Individuals

• Develop and implement fundraising strategies to grow income, including an annual appeal. 

• Work with the CEO, nurture relationships with donors including high net worth individuals maintaining the highest level of donor care.

• Research, identify and engage prospective donors to secure 5 and 6 figure gifts.

• Lead the team to grow and develop the burgeoning major donor portfolio. 

• Work with the Alumni Team to identify opportunities to sustainably grow the individual giving pipeline, including beneficiaries. 

• Develop a legacies strategy and oversee delivery of awareness campaigns.

Events

• Lead the team on the delivery of a sector-leading events portfolio, to include income-generating events, and the Student Social Mobility Awards (SSMA’s).

• Engage, steward and motivate key stakeholders including the Development Board, Patrons, potential event committee members and other high value volunteers to grow our network and deliver successful fundraising events.

Trusts, Foundations & Corporates

• Oversight of Trusts, Foundation & Corporate fundraising strategy.

• Work with the Senior Fundraising Manager to identify and build relationships with Companies, Trusts and Foundations which are mission and/or programme aligned.

• Collaborate with the Head of Partnerships to build strategic relationships with companies that grow philanthropic and commercial income. 

• Support the acquisition of new, multi-year philanthropic funders and existing donors.

Other

• Regular out of office work may be required in order that the organisation is able to deliver on its commitments to its stakeholders

• Some UK travel will be required from time to time

The Opportunity

This role at WFN provides an exciting opportunity to lead on the development of our growing Winner Network Development (WND) programme, identified as one of the charity’s key areas for strategic growth and maximised impact over the coming years. We are looking for an enthusiastic and outgoing communicator who is passionate about conservation and can drive forward and create connections between our global network of over 220 conservationists, fostering knowledge exchange, capacity development and collaboration. As part of this programme the Grants and Network Manager (GNM) will help with delivery of annual thematic training workshops, with opportunity for international travel. The GNM will also assist our Head of Grants (HG) in monitoring our portfolio of active grants, with support from the Grants Assistant (GA). The GNM will also participate in the Whitley Awards application process by helping to screen the grant applications and supporting with due diligence. GRANTS AND NETWORK MANAGER - PERSONAL SPECIFICATION

Essential:

· MSc or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g., Conservation/ Zoology/ Environmental Science)

· Experience cultivating and managing networks of people, with a proven track record of successful engagement and network growth

· Requisite experience in managing a portfolio of active grants within the environmental NGO sector including ongoing monitoring and evaluation

· Past experience with capacity development initiatives and/or facilitating trainings and events, including organising logistics

The Organisation

Action on Disability (AoD), founded in 1979, is one of London’s leading Disabled People’s Organisations (DPOs). As we believe in the Social Model of Disability, our values and principles embrace inclusive and accessible ways of working, seeking co-production and co-design from our Disabled members, encouraging and respecting diversity. AoD is a medium sized charity with a Board of Trustees, 27 staff, a strong pool of casual staff and volunteers, including many with lived experience of disability – all of whom are passionate about removing the barriers faced by Disabled people.

Action on Disability provides four key services: Youth, Employment, Welfare Benefits, and Independent Living.

The Project

Our Place is a project that is facilitated and managed by AoD. It is a 3-year National Lottery Community fund and Propel London funded project that will sit within our Independent Living Service. Our Place creates a community space and resource hub that Disabled people can call their own – led by them and facilitated by AoD staff. This service will be genuinely embedded in the local area, meeting needs expressed by local Disabled people to have their own place, and building links with amenities, businesses, and event spaces in Hammersmith and Fulham.

We want to enable businesses to feel more confident to welcome Disabled people and remove barriers. We want to create an inclusive and accessible space for Disabled people to socialise, build skills, pursue interests, and develop peer relationships.

Our Place operates alongside, and enhances, our current service provision. Central to this is ensuring that Disabled people have meaningful ownership over the space, from Steering Board input to operational delivery.

Disabled people will achieve their potential through four outcomes:

• Increased confidence, knowledge, and skills through opportunities to lead, learn and do new things.
• Reduced isolation and improved mental well-being through a place to socialise.
• Equity of access and participation in the local community.

The Post

We are looking for a full time Project delivery support officer with a commitment to the vision of AoD to promote Independent Living, Peer Support and Co-production within this project. You will have strong community project delivery, administration and support skills, good written and oral communication skills, and the ability to support the project and work effectively as part of a team. Your working hours will be dependent on the Our Place project activity schedule and may include early evening and weekend work.

Role Purpose

As Head of Fundraising, you will be responsible for generating sustainable income through our fundraising activities, along with ensuring that Beaumond House is continuously building strong relationships with our supporters, local businesses and wider community as part of our income generation strategy.

You will lead and support the Beaumond House fundraising team in developing sustainable income to help ensure our charitable work continues to make an impact in Newark and Sherwood for future generations.  

Main Duties

• Responsible for devising, implementing, and developing innovative fundraising activity plans to ensure dependable sources of income for now and in the future.
• Work with your team, to build long-lasting relationships with our supporters, volunteers, businesses, grant makers and wider community.
• Manage the fundraising team operations and plan day-to-day activities.
• Ensure that all fundraising activity and donor communications is compliant and to best practice, keeping up to date with latest fundraising regulations.
•  Work closely with senior leadership team, in particular Head of Retail and Head of Care to ensure joined-up fundraising campaigns are in place across the organisation.
• Working closely with Head of Finance to ensure all income is correctly categorised and allocated.
• Be responsible for ensuring donor data and relationship management communications are correctly populated within CRM system.
• Oversee our presence across online platforms, ensuring alignment with campaign goals and Beaumond House brand.
• Continuously track and report fundraising performance and budgets to Director of Income Generation and CEO, producing monthly and ad-hoc reports to support strategic decision making.
• Support in developing future strategies for income generation.

Operational and Management Duties

• Responsible line management of the Fundraising team, holding team-wide meetings, 1-2-1 sessions, annual appraisals and development plans. Creating a positive working environment within the department to enable all members of the team are productive and motivated.
• Mentor and coach members of the team, identify and support with development needs in team knowledge or experience, offering support and best practice advice.
• Delivering a tactical programme to ensure the successful implementation of fundraising plans and strategy, supporting each member of the fundraising team to meet their targets.
• Identify and clarify relationship overlaps between fundraising team members to ensure clarity for donors and supporters.
•  Get involved and support the team with fundraising activities as required. Such as attending fundraising events and activities outside normal working hours, weekends and Bank Holidays when required.
• Support and encourage the team in working effectively with volunteers. Ensuring volunteers have purpose, feel valued, well supported and part of the Beaumond House team.

• Ensure that every activity adheres to the health and safety procedures and guidelines, including carrying out risk assessments in line with policy.
• Hold regular meetings with the fundraising and wider hospice teams to ensure good practice and collaboration.

Strategic Support

• Maintain and build on the established brand of Beaumond House, maximising opportunities with local communities and outlets.
• Be the voice, and champion, of our supporters and donors throughout everything we do. Maintaining feedback through items such as supporter feedback groups.
• Champion innovation in income generation, identify emerging trends in philanthropy, digital fundraising and donor engagement.
• Prepare detailed income and expenditure forecasts and project schedules in line with the organisation’s objectives.
• Support in the development of future strategic projects and priorities with Senior Leadership Team.
•  Prepare reports on fundraising performance for board and sub-committees as required.

Administration Duties

• Take responsibility for own administration, always completing to the highest and most thorough standards.
• Maintain accurate and up to date records using agreed systems, such as Xero, Beacon CRM and MS Office 365. Use these to set up and run reports to provide information.
• Support directly or via signposting for IT queries eg. Use of MS 365, Beacon CRM, Gift Aid.
• Respond in a timely manner to enquiries/queries.

We’re looking for a strategic, innovative and proactive Communications and Marketing Lead to drive forward Save the Rhino’s communications across all touch points, delivering our ambitious five-year strategy. As a member of the Senior Management Team, this role is key to shaping our public voice, strengthening our organisation’s brand and driving greater awareness and engagement with rhino conservation.

This is a broad and influential role for an experienced communications and marketing professional to amplify our core conservation messaging alongside our fundraising campaigns. You will bring clear tactical vision and a deep understanding of how targeted communications can advance organisational reputation, support conservation goals and engage diverse audiences.

You’ll oversee all aspects of external communications including messaging, media, PR, digital, campaigns and brand. With a talent for storytelling and an eye for detail, you’ll be confident and experienced in turning complex information into accessible, compelling content. From writing press releases on the latest rhino news, to supporting successful fundraising campaigns, this role is ideal for someone who excels in strategic thinking as well as hands-on delivery. Collaborate closely with subject matter experts across the charity, to help deliver plan and deliver these virtual groups, which involve multiple hospice staff and external stakeholders across different subject areas.

Deliver and grow our integral Big Conversations series, which brings the hospice sector together on the biggest issues of the day.

We’re looking for someone who takes a consistent project management approach to leading virtual networks and large online meetings/webinars. Building strong internal and external relationships will be vital.

You might be working in the charity sector already, or bring strong technical experience delivering virtual events or online membership networks from other sectors. You don’t need to have a background in healthcare.

You’ll join a close, 16-strong Programmes Team at Hospice UK, made up of experienced clinicians, sector-leading project and event managers, and specialists in evidence and research. We work together and alongside external experts, to design and deliver evidence-based programmes, projects and events, which help hospices provide the very best care in their communities.

About Us: 

The Infection Prevention Society (IPS) is a membership organisation dedicated to promoting and enhancing the science and practice of infection prevention and control (IPC) within all health and care settings. With a commitment to working collaboratively to prevent infection, the IPS is a supportive network for IPC practitioners, and delivers education and training within the IPC field.  With 2,400 members across the UK and internationally, the IPS plays an important role in supporting and developing IPC professionals and advancing knowledge and best practices to safeguard public health. 

Last year the IPS launched its new strategy: Working together to prevent infection. In order to deliver this strategy, in early 2024 the Board of Trustees took the decision to recruit the Society’s first staff team, moving the organisation from a model that had been led by volunteers and operationally managed with an association management organisation.  The intention is this decision will transform the Society, taking it to the next phase in its evolution, and furthering our goals of supporting our members, improving IPC practice, ensure equity of access and support for a diverse and multidisciplinary workforce, and influencing and shaping IPC education and policy.

This is an incredibly exciting time to join an important organisation in the battle for public health and infection prevention, and a chance to work in close partnership with the Board of Trustees to create and execute new activities which will grow and sustain the Society for future IPC professionals and have a positive impact on the prevention of infection. 

Position Overview: 

Currently, the IPS events and education portfolio includes: 

• Annual Conference which attracts over 700 attendees, 80 exhibitors/sponsors. The programme is developed and delivered by our Scientific Programme Committee, and the event is operationally managed and delivered by an external Professional Conference Organiser (PCO). 

• Up 20 one/two day in person/hybrid events currently developed and delivered by our volunteers, our corporate partners or a PCO. 

• Online resources – developed and delivered by our Education and Professional Development Committee (EPDC), Branches and Special Interest Groups. 

The Annual Conference will continue to be managed by a PCO and the organisation of our committees smaller annual conferences will be supported by our own team.

We are now seeking a dynamic and experienced Education and Events Executive to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the planning, coordination, and execution of educational programs and events aimed at advancing the understanding and practice of infection prevention and control. 

This will be an exciting and challenging role where Education and Events Executive will work with the Education and Events Manager to deliver up to 20 one-day events per year, either as in person, virtual or hybrid events.

Key Responsibilities: 

Educational Programme Development: 

• Working with the Education and Events Manager, assist with the development and implementation of a comprehensive educational programme that aligns with IPS objectives and serves the needs of our members. 

• Assist with the production and development of educational materials and resources. 

• Take ownership of the promotion and communication of the IPS’ courses and all educational materials and resources. 

Event Planning and Execution: 

• Work closely with the Education and Events Manager to plan, organise, and ensure the professional execution of the educational programme including educational resources, conferences, workshops and webinars. 

• To be the point of contact with regional volunteers to assist them with their events, and ensure a consistent calibre of IPS event is achieved throughout the regions. 

• Under direction from the Events and Education Manager, assist or deliver all aspects of event planning and logistics, including venue management, online registration, delivery via a virtual platform, sponsorship and exhibition management, catering, audio-visual requirements, and onsite staffing as required. 

• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure successful event delivery, 

• Actively work with colleagues to communicate and promote the IPS’ courses as well as all educational materials and resources. 

• Actively engage with sponsors, speakers and other stakeholders, and act as first point of contact for all enquiries. 

• Ensure any sponsor and exhibitor deliverables are met, and that stakeholders are satisfied with the calibre of events. 

• Foster member engagement through educational initiatives, ensuring alignment with the society's goals and objectives. 

Financial Management: 

• Develop and manage budgets for educational programmes and events to ensure that the event programme achieves a surplus.

• Consistently monitor budgets, expenses and revenue to ensure agreed financial targets are met. 

Marketing & Communications: 

• With the Education and Events Manager, help devise a marketing and communications strategy for both the educational and events outputs of the Society 

• Take ownership of the Society’s marketing and social media strategies as it related to events and education

• Regularly update the events and education sections of the Society’s website, and work with the Membership Engagement Manager to ensure maximum take up of educational courses and IPS events. 

• Disseminate marketing materials to regional volunteers and assist them with their events marketing strategies. 

Other: 

• Research potential sponsors and partners for programmes and events 

• Actively build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including industry partners, speakers, and sponsors. 

• Collaborate with relevant organisations to expand the reach and impact of IPS educational initiatives.

Offer the following experience: 

• A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field (education, event management, healthcare, etc.). 

• Proven experience in education resources planning and management, ideally within a similar professional body or learned society.

Requirements:

• Passionate about working for an organisation with accessibility at the heart of everything it does

• Outstanding fundraising abilities with experience securing five and six figure gifts and managing public facing appeals

• Passionate and knowledgeable about the arts, music and opera  

• Ability to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including funders of all kinds, audience members, visiting artists and ENO colleagues across all department

• Knowledge of Greater Manchester’s cultural scene and networks in the region

• Dynamic individual with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within the Development Department​

• Supportive colleague and experienced people manager, willing to share  skills, experience and knowledge with other fundraisers in the Department

• Ability to work with and build excellent working relationships with a wide range of visiting directors, conductors, designers and musicians as well as internal ENO staff

• Confident with technology and experience working with ticketing and CRM Systems​

• Excellent verbal and written communication and skills including excellent attention to detail

• Evidence of networking and relationship building at a senior level

• Commitment to professional development with a willingness to develop knowledge, skills and experience​ 

• Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex budgets in a simple manner appropriate to different stakeholder audiences
