ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Interim Finance Director, the Governance Manager will lead and coordinate governance, compliance and organisational processes across CILIP.
You will be responsible for supporting effective decision-making, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and providing expert governance support to the Board, Committees and Executive Team.
This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on delivery and is ideal for someone who enjoys driving good governance while ensuring operational excellence.
This is a fixed-term role for 9 months due to organisational planning requirements.
Key areas of delivery:
Governance and Board Support
Lead and continuously improve governance processes, support the effective operation of the Board and Committees, and provide advice on governance best practice.
Policy and Compliance
Oversee CILIP's policy governance framework, coordinate policy reviews and support compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

Support the Executive Team through the coordination of key meetings, events, organisational planning and corporate administration.

ABOUT YOU

Main Purpose of the Post
The Chief Executive will have overall responsibility for all aspects of the day to day running of the RLSS and all its services. This will include management of staff and ensuring the services are meeting the needs of those who require them, in addition to managing finances, membership and external relationships. The post holder will be accountable to and work closely with the Board Chair and its Directors to set the strategic direction and further develop the business model which will serve Religious Life Groups for the future.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Strategy & Leadership and Governance
· Provide visible, ambitious, and focused leadership of the RLSS.
· Be overall responsible for the management of the RLSS working in conjunction with the Chair and Directors to provide leadership.
· Lead and contribute to the Board’s overall development of the strategy and annual plans to ensure achievement of a One Church approach to applying the Church’s safeguarding standards.
· Ensure risks to the overall objectives of the RLSS are identified, mitigated, and reported to the Board.
· Develop a culture of resilience, adaptability, and continuous learning within the organization to navigate challenges and maintain trust among victims/survivors and members.
· Develop and promote services and practice improvements which are designed to mitigate risk and improve understanding within safeguarding.
· Effectively sustain a culture that consistently meets the needs of and engages with victim/survivors and with Religious.

· Ensure the RLSS meets it statutory, legal, and regulatory obligations.

Policy and Procedure
· Ensure a robust and up to date Policy & Procedure framework approved by the Board is in place including HR, Health and Safety, Data Protection and operational delivery.
· Ensure there is a system in place to review approved policies and procedures to ensure that substantial changes or additions are brought to the Board for decision.
· Undertake operating compliance exercises including annual risk assessments, health and safety checks and reporting on incidents and near misses.

Operations
- Lead the development and continuous improvement of operational systems, processes and policies to ensure the charity operates efficiently, consistently and in line with best practice.

Role purpose
The Head of Finance is a key member of the Charity’s senior management team, working closely with the chief executive, directors, and trustees. The head of finance will lead the day-to-day financial operations of the Charity, including budgeting, reporting, audit, payroll, and pensions. As Operations and Systems Manager, you will ensure SMK’s operations are well managed and that the team have the technology, systems and policies needed to run smoothly. You will take the initiative and hold responsibility for managing projects to improve systems and working practices and provide the administrative and training support needed to enable staff to implement these.

Job description
Governance
- Organise SMK’s board meetings, sub committees and strategy days, ensuring all necessary paperwork, including the CEO and Staff Report, is prepared and circulated on time.
- Take clear and concise minutes at board meetings and ensure agreed actions are followed up.
- Support the CEO and Board in ensuring complete and timely reporting to regulators such as HMRC, the Charity Commission, and Companies House.
- Keep up-to-date information on Trustees and Patrons including monitoring the conflicts of interest register.
- Support the induction and exit process for trustees and manage any Board development requirements.
Human Resources
- Ensure all current and ex staff records are up to date and stored appropriately including contracts and job descriptions.

The GAMH Research, Policy and Advocacy Officer is a new post that will play a central role in advancing GAMH’s global policy and advocacy agenda, helping to strengthen and elevate the focus on the health and wellbeing of men within national, regional and global policy environments. The postholder will design and deliver policy advocacy initiatives, generate high-quality research, write reports and publications, support project coordination, engage stakeholders and partners, and support communications to influence decision-makers aimed at improving health and wellbeing outcomes for men and boys within a gender equality framework. The position will work across all GAMH workstreams, with a particular focus on men’s health in Europe, prostate cancer and human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination programmes.
This exciting new role will is being created at a time of organisational expansion and growing interest in men’s health worldwide. It will require attendance at meetings in London and the South East of England and occasional European/international travel will also be required.
Key Responsibilities
1. Policy Advocacy and Campaign Development
- Develop and contribute to GAMH’s policy positions and advocacy on key men’s health issues, with a particular focus on men’s health in Europe, prostate cancer and HPV.
- Monitor and analyse key policy developments relevant to men’s health and the work of GAMH across prevention, early diagnosis, screening, treatment, and support.

About Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance
Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA) exists so nobody in Scotland suffers or dies because medical help cannot get there in time. People can get sick or have accidents anywhere and anytime. But in Scotland there are places where urgent medical help cannot reach people. Or help gets there too late. And when lives are at risk every minute matters. As a charity we rely on donations from the Scottish public, companies and communities to ensure that urgent medical help gets to the patient when it is needed, wherever they are and at whatever time of day.
The Role
As part of an ongoing strategy of development, SCAA are looking for a highly motivated, focussed and committed individual to support the growth of our corporate partnerships programme. Working closely with the Partnerships Manager, you’ll play a key role in identifying, securing and developing partnerships that generate sustainable income and create meaningful impact for our charity.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, spotting opportunities and delivering exceptional donor experiences.
The Partnerships Fundraiser will support on the securing of new partnerships and take the lead on stewarding our corporate partner portfolio. They will join a dynamic team who are passionate about supporting our corporate partners, demonstrating the contribution they make to our critical service through their donations of time and money.
This role will be based either in Perth, at Scone Airport, or at our Aberdeen base, at Aberdeen Airport. SCAA supports flexible and hybrid working arrangements—our current approach typically includes two office days per week for those working on a hybrid basis. The usual hours of work will be Monday—Friday, 9am—5pm but it should be noted that this role will require the successful candidate to occasionally work at weekends and during the evenings. This role will also require the successful candidate to travel regularly to partner locations within Scotland.
About You
Essential
- Experience working in a similar role managing partnerships between businesses and/or charities either within the commercial or charity sector.
- Experience developing donor-focussed communications.
- Experience of working with relevant CRM databases and a commitment to capturing donor relationship details through the use of these systems.
- Knowledge of appropriate fundraising regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to establish meaningful connections with our partners.
- Research skills to support the recruitment of new partners.
- Ability to build successful relationships with a range of stakeholders including donors, volunteers, ambassadors, board members and other senior stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to demonstrate a commitment to delivering excellence and continuous improvement.
- Keen attention to detail and ability to complete tasks including all administration around tasks and archiving key materials for learning and review.
- Ability to conduct thorough reviews of projects against KPIs.
- Ability to work within a team, adopting a collaborative approach to working with colleagues, whilst also able to work independently, being pro-active and self-sufficient.
- Proficient IT skills, including the use of the Microsoft Office suite.
