Join the Lewisham Local team to become our new Local Giving Programme Manager! It is an exciting time to work in Lewisham. We are at the forefront of place-based giving and become the London Borough of Culture for 2022. You will lead an exciting and unique local giving programme, engaging new communities of givers, lead impactful campaigns to raise awareness of the good causes and needs in Lewisham and begin to develop a legacy of local giving.

We are looking for an experienced person to strategically lead our giving programme and team. You will have an excellent understanding of financial donors and the voluntary sector and have your finger on the pulse of current developments and opportunities. You will possess ideas, ambition and leadership qualities to make the most of future opportunities for local giving in Lewisham and build collaborative approaches. Strong in communications and marketing skills, you will be able to articulate a compelling vision that inspires people to give, and engages local charity partners.

If you would like more information on the role and/or even visit us to see how we function, please get in touch with Sam Hawksley, Director.

We are committed to our staff team reflecting the diversity of the communities we serve and strongly welcome applications from minority communities.

Shortlisted candidates who outline their skills and experience in the application form that matches the essential criteria will be interviewed. Two references from the previous and current employer will be taken up for the successful candidate, and where necessary employers may be contacted to gather further information.

We are committed to the safeguarding of vulnerable adults and children, where appropriate will require the successful applicant to undertake a check from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
