GFS is a feminist organisation with a mission to empower girls and young women in England and Wales to live their best lives. Girls as young as 6 tell us that they cannot be themselves. This causes problems for them and society. So, we offer an early intervention service for girls living in areas of deprivation to have the greatest impact.

This is an exciting role with an opportunity to lead the charity into the 150th Year of delivery and with a new strategy to address need. It will involve working with the leadership team and all departments but also the board and their support committees, the ambassadors, and presidents as well as the wonderful team of volunteers across England and Wales.

A great deal has been done to prepare the organisation for such an important time and so now there is a real opportunity for this role to lead in being a figurehead for the charity and representing all that is achieved at GFS in national events and discussions, to best represent the girls of today.

Our new strategy is built around pillars of Impact, Brand and Sustainability with an ambition to grow in delivery as well as reputation. GFS is aware that the work done to listen to and amplify girls’ voices is important because they have so much to say about what needs to change and from a very young age. This role will be key to making this happen.

Redemption Roasters is looking for a new Head of Impact to join them in their mission to reduce reoffending rates through coffee.

Who we are

Redemption Roasters is a specialty coffee company that believes that reoffending in the UK can be reduced through coffee.

At their roastery at HMP The Mount, Redemption Roasters trains residents in barista, coffee production and roasting skills as well as roasting incredible coffee for its range of London coffee shops and network of over 100 wholesale clients. The company also runs barista academies at 9 other prisons.

The UK’s reoffending rates are amongst the highest in the western world, and it’s costly on both a national and personal level. If prisoners find employment, they are 50% less likely to return to prison. There is always a job for a good barista or roaster, and that’s why Redemption Roasters is doing this work. About the role

The Head of Impact will be responsible for the social mission of the business and will ensure that it remains at the heart of what Redemption Roasters does. About the role

The Centre for Ageing Better launched the first ever campaign focusing on ageism in January 2024.

Ageism is the most widespread form of discrimination in the UK. And it will impact us all at some point, particularly as we get older. Ageism affects how society sees older people: they’re often reduced to offensive stereotypes, patronised, or treated as a burden. And it even affects how we see ourselves. As the years progress, we start to believe what we read, see and hear, and come to think that we’re ‘past it’.

The Head of Ageism Campaign plays a key role in a small team responsible for planning and delivering a nationwide public-facing campaign to bring an end to ageism in England. The public-facing campaign is one strand of a wider ‘age-friendly’ social movement aimed to make people think, feel and act differently about ageing, which will work on a number of levels and with a range of different audiences.

Under the direction of the Director of Communications & Policy and with an expert external consultant, this role is responsible for planning, delivering, measuring and iterating campaign activities that lead to measurable changes in attitudes and behaviour amongst the public.

The campaign will position Ageing Better as a thought leader and expert on ageism in England and mobilise the public and stakeholders around key activity and campaign moments, working at a national, regional and local level.

The postholder will jointly manage a creative agency to deliver phase two of our mass marketing campaign, ‘always on’ activity, and a moment of collective action once a year for warm audiences and ambassadors for the campaign.

You are a passionate and committed campaigner, determined to create societal change.

You will have excellent experience in campaigning techniques and communications, with first-class writing skills. You will understand how to influence the public and move people along a behaviour/attitude change journey.

The Candidate

We’re looking for an outstanding marketing and communications leader who is strategically minded and delivery focused. They will be able to lead and develop an existing team and be adept at building and maintaining productive working relationships. Reporting to the Head of Fundraising and leading the wider supporter care team, the Individual Giving Manager is responsible for the end to end Individual Giving Programme. You will help maximise supporter recruitment and development opportunities whilst ensuring long-term growth for St Giles Hospice.

To manage the delivery of the Individual Giving Programme which includes recruiting new cash and regular giving supporters from a variety of multi-channel campaigns and initiatives. To deliver the warm campaigns such as cash appeals, regular giving, raffles and lottery.

To manage the stewardship of supporters through the proactive and effective data management, delivering an excellent supporter experience through targeted supporter journeys. To develop, deliver and proactively manage campaign plans, budgets, and reports for senior stakeholders.

Knowledge and experience

Essential

·Experience of working in third sector

·Experience in a communications and marketing role

·Demonstrable experience individual giving / customer, and donor / customer acquisition, retention and segmentation in a charity / commercial setting

·Track record of successfully managing and developing relationships with individual supporters, customers or clients.

·Experience of successfully developing and implementing a plan for individual giving / customer, and donor / customer acquisition, retention in a charity / commercial setting.

·Knowledge of regulatory environment for fundraising from individuals including data protection, Gift Aid and Fundraising Codes of Practice and regulation

·Experience of and resilience to meeting targets and KPIs.

·A proven track record of success in working with others, managing people, and delivery of high-quality results to deadlines

·Experience of working with data for marketing and analysis purposes

·Good knowledge of data selection, data analysis, insight and application of datasets for maximum success

·Experience of project management, including budget setting and management.

·Experience using Donorflex or a similar CRM database.

About the Role 
As Shop Support Manager, you will provide focused support on defined areas, working alongside the Shop Manager to understand the shop, community, and proposition.   

This is an exciting new role with huge opportunity to impact the success of our Derby shop, and to act as an ambassador for our brand in the local community!

Working closely with the Shop Manager in our Derby shop, an initial focus of your role will be in supporting volunteer recruitment as we look to grow our existing volunteer team, including ensuring they receive amazing induction and training support when they join us!   

You will also be responsible for delivering on other key areas of work to enable the delivery of the shop's potential and empower the volunteer team to help the Shop Manager drive the shop forward. At times this will include taking on responsibility for day-to-day operations or leadership of the shop, providing key support and additional capacity to the Shop Manager to enable the shop's continued success.   

About You 
You will be someone with exceptional project coordination skills, who understands the importance of community and enjoys supporting people to exercise similar passions through volunteering. 

You'll bring: 

• Project coordination experience within retail or a transferable setting, e.g. community engagement, volunteer management, operations etc. 
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build & maintain positive working relationships with a variety of people.
• A flexible, positive and resilient attitude, able to work at pace in a fast-moving environment. 
• Results driven approach with experience of working to targets. 
• Experience and confidence using a range of IT platforms including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), as well as systems for the management of other areas (e.g. reporting, volunteer management).

- Provide Trustees with an annual strategic/business plan; to lead the strategic planning process, developing and implementing a strategic plan for the organisation with the assistance of staff and volunteers, including financial, funding and human resources strategies.

- Ensure a long-term strategy is in place to guide Havant and East Hant’s Mind in achieving its objectives.

- Work with the Chair of Trustees to ensure that governance structures are appropriate, and that the Board and its Sub Committees are supported to have effective oversight of the organisation.

- Support the Chair of Trustees in ensuring the continued engagement of all Trustees.

- Advise the Board of Trustees on fulfilling their governance responsibilities.

- Produce reports as required by the Chair of Trustees.

- Develop policy proposals for discussion and decision by the Board of Trustees.

Legal compliance and quality

- To ensure that appropriate safeguarding and compliance systems are in place to meet the requirements of commissioners, Charity Commission, National Mind and other quality assurance bodies.

- To ensure that Havant and East Hants Mind meets its constitutional and legal responsibilities and that it has the necessary resources (human, material, financial) to meet its obligations and to operate effectively.

- To develop, implement and manage systems for setting and meeting quality standards throughout Havant and East Hants Mind’s services, projects and processes.

- Ensure senior colleagues and Trustees are updated on commissioning, policy and other changes that affect the business and service delivery.

- Liaise and negotiate with representatives of statutory bodies as required.

- Ensure the organisation discharges its constitutional and legal obligations in relation to charity, employment and other relevant legislation.

- Lead on quality assurance processes in relevant areas, including Mind Quality Mark

Our award winning fundraising division is currently looking for an Engagement and Stewardship Executive to join our Partnership and Philanthropy team in this newly created role for the charity.

With ambitious plans to grow our fundraising income above £60m in the next 5 years we are expanding our fundraising team. The role sits within the newly created Operations Team ensuring Age UK's donor facing Partnerships and Philanthropy Team are provided with the highest quality donor research, engagement and stewardship materials required to create transformative partnerships with businesses, high net worth individuals, trusts and foundations.

In this newly created position we require a collaborative individual who can support our Senior Operations Manager deliver our stewardship strategy focused on inspiring, thanking and retaining our major donors, corporate partners and grant funders by creating engaging communications and activities.

This role offers hybrid working between home and London (EC3N 2LB). Our fundraising division attend the London office once a week on Thursday's.

* This role is not a donor-facing role but sits within the newly created Partnerships and Philanthropy Operations team that provides the back-of-house systems, processes, content and support to enable donor-facing colleagues to operate efficiently and effectively.

* We ask all members of Age UK's Partnerships and Philanthropy department to work from our London hub near Tower Hill at least once a week to enable collaboration, skills development and team dynamics (currently Thursdays). From time to time, we may also require the successful candidate to come into our London hub for face-to-face meetings at other times in the week: as per the terms of our hybrid contracts we aim to give seven days' notice when this happens.
