Job description

This London based charity are the leaders in their field and on path to raise over £12m annually by 2023. Funding vital research and providing crucial information, their work is hugely important and touches the lives of millions of people each year.

About the role

This is a new role, establishing and heading up a new digital engagement team which is fundamental to the success of the new integrated digital engagement and fundraising projects to diversify and increase the charity’s income streams.

The role will have a dual line report in to the Fundraising Director and Marketing Director, it is a crucial role for integrated working between the two teams with emphasis on creating awareness and familiarity of the brand amongst target audiences alongside digital income generation.


  • Deliver fundraising and marketing campaigns that drive income while growing familiarity and awareness.
  • Develop a digital engagement strategy that a focus on supporter care and journey, to increase engagement, lead generation and conversion.
  • Develop and execute individual giving campaigns in partnership with the Fundraising Director.
  • Leading on digital acquisition strategy.
  • Lead on digital innovation utilising a test and learn approach to developments.
  • Ensure all digital channels are fully optimised for digital fundraising.
  • Evaluate activity, ensure KPIs are in place, analytics are effectively used and activity delivers against business objectives.
  • You will be leading the digital fundraising function, managing 2 direct reports, a portfolio of agencies and temp/support staff where required.


You will have experience of driving income growth digitally, ideally with 3 years’ experience in a senior position. You will be well versed in budget management and managing agencies, and have proven ability identifying opportunities and making strategic decisions. A good understanding of Fundraising Code and Data Protection is highly beneficial, as well as web management and analytics tools and software.
