About you:

This is a terrific opportunity to play a fundamental role as Research Communications Manager at Muscular Dystrophy UK’s in developing and shaping our research communications ensuring the timely and proactive communication of our research impact.

• You will have a strong ability for explaining research and science to a lay audience. 
• You  will also proactively identify communication opportunities and ideas for engaging content to promote and publicise our research projects.

We are recruiting a Challenge Events Fundraiser to grow PAPYRUS’ challenge event income by leading on allocated PAPYRUS own events, projects and campaigns and managing all third-party challenge events.

What you will do:

• Develop an events plan that will grow income using data from previous years to understand our supporters and build a creative and sustainable income plan for long term growth.
• Build and manage relationships with supporters across all communication channels and provide professional, relevant, timely and empathetic stewardship at all times.
• Raise awareness of PAPYRUS and its work by developing and delivering presentations and talks both online and face to face to supporters and facilitating necessary photo opportunities in line with GDPR for use if future promotional activity
• Manage costs and budgets for events, including forecasting, estimates and future year planning.

The Marketing and Communications Officer will play a key role in delivering Deafblind UK’s marketing and communications activity, helping to tell powerful stories, grow brand awareness, and strengthen engagement with people with lived experience, supporters, funders, and the wider public.

Working alongside the Head of Marketing & Communications, the postholder will act as a proactive and trusted collaborator, supporting teams across services, fundraising, volunteering and operations. Responsibilities

Content & Campaigns

• Research, write and publish engaging content across multiple channels (website, social media, email, press, print).

We are seeking a Communications and Marketing Manager to shape how our work is seen, understood and engaged with across local government and public policy. Based in the Communications team, this hands-on role will craft high-impact stories that elevate WWT’s voice, build brand awareness and deepen engagement with our visitors, supporters and partners. Working with colleagues from conservation teams to visitor centre staff, you’ll uncover and share purpose-driven stories that showcase the wonder of wetlands and the impact of WWT’s work across the UK and beyond. 

You’ll produce high-quality, audience-focused content – from articles and video scripts to campaign copy and thought leadership pieces – and lead the content component of key campaigns. Turning scientific insights into accessible and inspiring content, you’ll tell engaging stories that reflect our brand, values and ambition for a world where wetlands thrive.

About You

We are seeking an individual with:

• Proven experience in storytelling, journalism, copywriting or content creation.
• Experience developing narrative-led multimedia content and storyboards.
• Outstanding writing, editing and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail.
• Confident collaborator, able to work with scientists, site teams, volunteers and senior leaders.
• Experience creating content for digital platforms and an understanding of digital best practice.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to juggle multiple projects.
• Confident in seeking stories, researching and developing ideas for high-impact creative content.

We are based in Slimbridge Wetland Centre, Gloucestershire, but support hybrid working with an expectation for team members to be in Slimbridge at least once a week.

What You will be doing

The role is responsible for managing social media channels, delivering impactful digital campaigns, coordinating external advertising across print and digital platforms, and producing high-quality marketing materials. By creating consistent, compelling communications and supporting the promotion of key initiatives, the postholder will help strengthen awareness, broaden reach, and support the charities’ aims.

Social Media (both charities)

• Plan, create, and schedule content across social media platforms for both charities.
• Ensure content aligns with campaigns, awareness events, and strategic priorities.
• Monitor performance, engage with audiences, and track analytics to inform growth.
• Work with colleagues across the charity to source stories, visuals, and updates for posts.

The post holder will work as part of the Estate & Facilities and Safety Management team to deliver high standard, customer focused estates and facilities to the organisation. You will lead on all aspects of safety, facilities and estate management at our outdoor learning centre, Hindleap Warren. You will support with facilities (managed onsite by the Director of Finance) but will be responsible for all aspects of safety compliance at our London Office. This role is a blend of strategic and pragmatic thinking to create a great place to work, along with the need to 'roll up sleeves' and ensure our buildings, grounds, and systems of work are safe, compliant, efficient and sustainable. A monthly visit to the London Office will be expected. 

What you will be doing

Estate Strategy 

• Work with the Senior Team and Heads of Centres to develop the strategic direction and objectives to ensure London Youth are following relevant legislation and best practice from all sectors. 
• Create and deliver plans to manage London Youth's assets in a compliant, safe, and best practice manner, as well as rolling out new software to manage this process. 

Facilities Management 

• Lead on delivery of all Facilities Management services, including but not limited to: M&E, fabric, cleaning/housekeeping, bed linen/laundry, car partking, grounds, waste management, pest control and external contractors. Occasionally support may be needed out of normal working hours in emergency situations. 
• Establish and maintain a comprehensive planned preventative maintenance programme, ensuring the satisfactory operation of all buildings, plant and equipment, and ensuring our buildings remain compliant, safe, fit for purpose, and reflect our brand values at all times. 
• Procure and manage services, evaluate contracts and tender processes through a blend of in-house and out-sourced delivery methods, as appropriate, and evaluate value for money. 
• Work with the Director of Centres and Heads of Centres to set the estates, facilities, and health & safety elements of their annual budgets and advising on capital expenditure requirements across all three sites. 

Health & Safety 

• Maintain a health and safety management system at both Hindleap and the London Office, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met, including overseeing risk assessments, health & safety policies and procedures, and annual audits. 
• Attend monthly meetings of the Safety and Safeguarding Team, analysing reported accident and incident data. 
• Provide assurance reporting to the Director of Centres and Trustees on a quarterly basis. 

What you bring to the role 

• Experience of delivering safe and effective work on customer-facing premises and grounds. 
• Experience of managing high performing teams to deliver in line with the needs of an organisation. 
• Experience of working and leading teams across multiple sites. 
• Relevant qualifications in facilities and estates management and health & safety, including a NEBOSH. 
• Knowledge of the Health and Safety compliance standards applicable to our sites and how these should be achieved. (Please note the outdoor adventurous activities are managed by the operations team - specialist knowldge of these areas is not required.)
• Ability to communicate in a range of settings with people at all levels of an organisation. 
• Ability and experience of training others in health and safety. 
• Experience of working as a member of a management team and bringing about changes through the action of your peers and team.
