Are you a highly organised and detailed orientated content manager and researcher? With experience in content management libraries or systems? We are seeking a self-starter that can shape this new role to enable Fairtrade’s rich content to tell creative and inspiring stories.  

Managing our content system, you will put in place content gathering procedures whilst keeping a keen eye on our brand to enable the Foundation to improve its storytelling. A brand guardian and ambassador, you will package up and research content that’s on brand, inspiring, and tells the positive story of Fairtrade.

You will need to be extremely well organised and enjoy asset management. Detail orientated, with an understanding and sensitivity for brand personality and tone of voice.

Fairtrade’s content is wide-ranging from photography and videography, quotes, consent forms, case studies, and end artwork. A keen written eye for tone of voice and on brand content will also be crucial for our brand consistency.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for digital communications and creating engaging content for digital and social platforms. We are looking for someone with excellent communication and implementation skills, who will enjoy being creative and using their expertise to enhance SAT-7 UK digital communications.  The role is based in Chippenham but flexible working options are available.(We will be open to discuss increased hours during a maternity cover period of May – December 2024.)

The Digital Content and Communications Officer (DCCO) reports to the Digital Communications Manager and has responsibility for the SAT-7 UK website, digital marketing and social media. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Website: Developing and updating SAT-7’s websites as inspiring platforms to raise profile, income and engagement.

Emails: Work with colleagues in the Communications Team and across the organisation to build, test and send responsive email templates for all SAT-7 UK’s email requirements (meeting SAT-7’s brand guidelines and conforming to industry standards). Use email marketing tool DotDigital to develop automated communications that strengthen supporter engagement and convert recipients into committed donors.

Content: Deliver engaging and inspiring rich media content across a range of digital channels, including web, email, social media and other digital marketing platforms. 

Social Media: Work closely with other team members to deliver strong social media content and engagement across various platforms, chiefly Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, LinkedIn.

Marketing: Support the digital marketing of SAT-7 resources and campaigns through social media advertising, external agencies and other channels as required, to engage more deeply with existing supporters and donors, acquire new supporters and to raise funds for SAT-7 UK.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• In all communication ensure consistent messaging, branding and tone of voice for the intended audience and that content conforms to the security and style guides.
• Use Customer Relationship Management systems to ensure efficient and secure storage of information.
• Assist members of the team in responding appropriately to communications from supporters and other organisations.
• Liaise with SAT-7 staff from other offices to share ideas and resources.
• Assist the Digital Communications Manager and represent SAT-7 UK at conferences and events as required.
• At all times operate within relevant statutory requirements and guidelines, following best practice recommendations wherever possible. Specially ensure compliance with the Fundraising Regulator and General Data Protection Regulations.

Reporting to the Head of Fundraising and leading the wider supporter care team, the Individual Giving Manager is responsible for the end to end Individual Giving Programme. You will help maximise supporter recruitment and development opportunities whilst ensuring long-term growth for St Giles Hospice.

To manage the delivery of the Individual Giving Programme which includes recruiting new cash and regular giving supporters from a variety of multi-channel campaigns and initiatives. To deliver the warm campaigns such as cash appeals, regular giving, raffles and lottery.

To manage the stewardship of supporters through the proactive and effective data management, delivering an excellent supporter experience through targeted supporter journeys. To develop, deliver and proactively manage campaign plans, budgets, and reports for senior stakeholders.

The role is key to ensuring that our properties, equipment, and site-based assets are aligned to the highest standards of environmental, health and safety, fire and security standards and delivering against the Trust’s ambitious objectives. 
 
You will safely steward the management of our growing facilities and assets, as well as being the initial point of contact for the Central Services department.  You will play a key role in contributing to the supervision of our Nature Discovery Centres, offices and other premises, manage the complex array of assets situated on our 111 nature reserves including vehicle fleet, equipment etc and assist in ensuring that our health and safety management systems are being delivered and consistently improved.

Job summary

Malaria No More UK are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Senior Media and Communications Manager to support the Head of Communications on the leadership, planning and delivery of MNMUK’s media strategy to raise awareness, engage stakeholders and drive support for our cause. This role will support MNMUK’s campaigning and activity in the UK and internationally, working across the organisation and working closely with colleagues leading our advocacy, government relations, political campaigning and partnerships work.  This role will also support MNMUK’s corporate communications work, specifically copywriting our core organisational materials, including board & annual reports.

Key responsibilities  

Communications: 

• Lead and deliver Malaria No More UK’s media strategy, including relationship building with media outlets, journalists and influencers to drive tactical, political and news media coverage.
• Lead on the development and management of pro or low bono partnerships with UK and global media organisations.
• Produce written media materials such as press releases, Q&As and spokesperson briefings.
• Lead and develop MNMUK’s corporate and campaign written materials such as donor reports, annual & board reports, fundraising applications and website copy, ensuring that we have a consistent and powerful style that aligns with our brand, values and creative content approach.
• Advise and support on media activity in other markets, including Kenya.
• Source and manage spokespeople for media and communications opportunities, working closely with our Head of Ambassador Relations & Creative Partnerships and our Strategic Communications and Engagement Manager.  
• Support MNMUK’s Philanthropy and Partnerships team with media and communication support for our corporate partners, institutional donors, and philanthropic foundation partners, including monitoring partner media, developing joint communications, and representing the communications team at partner meetings.
• Act as a key representative of the MNMUK communications team in meetings and planning for our UK campaigning, ensuring other members of the communications team are brought in to support when needed.
• Build external relationships and networking within NGO and communications sectors.
• Keep abreast of trends and best practice in communications and horizon scanning.
• Media monitoring and reporting, including the sourcing and management of databases, platforms and other services to support our media work.

Strategy:  

• Development and implementation of Malaria No More UK’s media work to support our UK and international strategies, including taking responsibility for media planning, reporting and management to allow monitoring of progress against plan.

Passionate about independent eyecare and retail, SightCare is a mutual benefit organisation providing Independent Optical Practice members with a business and networking support service to their owners and their staff. The Communications and Marketing Manager will oversee a consistent and high-quality communication both internally and externally of the key SightCare proposition.

With one direct report, you will develop and implement strategies to engage members, prospects, and lapsed members, building and maintaining relationships with optical suppliers and external vendors and stakeholders, whilst managing the department budget.

You will:

• Demonstrate a strong track record of developing brand and market positioning, using analytical tools to ensure effective communications, acting as brand gatekeeper, coordinating consistent communication of key messages, and tasks.
• Have experience of managing websites, email marketing and social media platforms with experience of managing and maintaining CRM systems (HubSpot), ensuring, and adhering to GDPR requirements and providing regular updates and reporting as required. 
• Be able to plan, coordinate and manage an annual programme of events, including the effective delivery of the annual conference, building relations with sponsors to ensure its financial viability. 
• Have strong communication and PR skills, with experience of handling public relations and press campaigns, with the confidence and competency to deputise for the Chief Executive when required. 
• Have strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop others to grow professionally and provide consistent and high-quality communications.

Experience of Membership organisations, sponsorship and event management are desirable but not essential.

Working arrangements
 
This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our London Office.
