ROLE PURPOSE:

Role Summary
- The School Engagement Coordinator for Northern Ireland serves as a crucial liaison for the Into Film programme in the region. The charity is growing. We have eight garden projects open and are fundraising for our ninth garden in Middlesbrough.
This role will assist with the content creation of engaging written, film and visual content across different platforms, scheduling and moderating our social channels, and helping us report on our digital activity. You will support the rollout of the new regional social media channels for each garden to help place storytelling and impact at the heart of our communications.
It would suit someone looking to start or build their career in the communications field or charity sector to develop experience in developing content, writing and charity campaigning. - Demonstrated success in launching new fundraising products — from concept through to live delivery — using innovation frameworks or test-and-learn methodology.
- Knowledge of digital acquisition, including PPC, paid social and segmentation strategies for events.
- Proven ability to lead cross-team project groups and manage external partners, contractors or agencies.
- Experience managing detailed budgets, with strong financial accountability and performance tracking.
- Expert in live event planning, delivery, and documentation — including compliance, health & safety and supplier contracts.
- Strong understanding of virtual fundraising best practices and digital supporter engagement.
- Confident using audience insight and supporter data to drive product development and communications.
- Clear grasp of behavioural communications and how to apply them across email, WhatsApp, SMS and face-to-face.
- Skilled project manager with the ability to juggle multiple workstreams, deadlines and priorities.
- Collaborative, solutions-focused, and able to build strong relationships across teams.
- Familiarity with fundraising regulations, GDPR, and Facebook Fundraising platforms is desirable.

About Us:
Hertfordshire Mind Network deliver essential mental health support in Hertfordshire, providing a diverse range of services from our seven Wellbeing Centres and other venues across all ten districts of the county. Funded locally, our services are available to all residents in Hertfordshire over the age of 18 and we offer dedicated services for 5–18-year-olds.
We help individuals experiencing mental ill health to make choices, find their solutions, build resilience and manage their wellbeing. We offer opportunities for individuals to get support to allow them to recover from or live with mental ill health.
Each year, we help 15,000 people experiencing mental ill health.
About the Role
Hertfordshire Mind Network (HMN) is a local Mind, we are an independent charity, although affiliated to national Mind – the leading mental health charity in England and Wales, we are not funded by our affiliation, we are responsible for raising our own funds directly through contracts, grants and fundraising.
As a Fundraising Officer, you’ll play a key role in expanding our fundraising activity across Hertfordshire. We’re looking for someone proactive and energetic, who can grow connections, raise our profile, and build lasting relationships across the community.
This role is an exciting opportunity to engage with a wide range of supporters – from individuals and community groups to local businesses and organisations – helping to raise both awareness and vital income for Hertfordshire Mind Network.

We offer:
- Annual leave entitlement of 25 days per year pro rata, rising in increments to a max. of 29 days after 5 years employment (plus 8 days Bank Holidays)
