Working location: mostly remote work with some travel required. Based in the central area of the South West region you will deliver a face-to-face service to clients in their own home or safe meeting place across the Dorset, Avon, Somerset, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire area as well as providing support by Teams, phone, email or other means to suit the service user. We take a person-centred approach so the amount of travel will vary depending on your caseload at the time. You’re in control of your own diary.
Why this role is important: Every 20 minutes, someone is killed or seriously injured on UK roads. For families affected, the emotional and practical challenges are immense. As a Caseworker, you will provide trauma-informed care to individuals and families suffering from the sudden bereavement or life-altering injury of a loved one. Working mostly remotely, with some home visits to service users, you’ll offer vital emotional and practical support—including helping them access therapeutic resources, financial assistance, and guidance through the complexities of medical and legal processes.
About Brake: Brake is a renowned and respected road safety charity with a 30-year history dedicated to supporting people affected by road crashes and advocating for safer streets.
You'll join a closely knit team of fellow caseworkers, each using their individual experience and skills to provide person-centred support to victims. This provides a ready-made peer group who share best practice and knowledge and support each other so, in turn, they can best support road victims. There's no sugar coating it, this isn't an easy role, it requires a special type of person with strong resilience, but the reward is a strong sense of purpose, every day. Who we're looking for
Full training will be provided under the guidance of our dedicated Training Officer. Our induction program has been developed to equip caseworkers with the skills they need to provide high quality support to road victims and covers topics such as being trauma-informed, safeguarding and risk management. We're open to candidates from all sorts of backgrounds, as long as you're a compassionate, self-starter with a background in providing high-quality emotional support and advocacy. Your experience in roles within the NHS, any health and social care, road safety, counselling, the police and family liaison officers, lived experience or any type of casework could make you an ideal candidate.
Essential Requirements:
- A full, clean UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (travel expenses are reimbursed)
- Resident in the central area of the South West Region.
- Experience delivering frontline support, preferably involving sudden bereavement or heightened vulnerabilities.
- Strong advocacy and research skills to liaise with multiple organisations on behalf of service users.
- Competency in I.T skills to work remotely.

This role delivers a range of dynamic and engaging financial education programmes to young people, adults, and professionals. As part of our Programmes and Delivery Directorate, our Trainers love working with our participants; they’re the front line of our work, representing Money Ready’s exceptional programme quality in a range of settings.

The Dollywood Foundation UK runs Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in the UK, the worlds largest book gifting programme. Over the last 30 years the Imagination Library has delivered nearly 300 million books to children globally. In the UK we support over 60k children a month, delivering them a free book sent to their house every month.
The primary purpose of this new role is to increase registrations for the Imagination Library initially across London. This role will support our Local Programme Partners to reach families with whom they are not currently engaging.
Background
We have a steadfast belief that inspiring a love of reading in children can bring joy, love, and measurable individual, family and societal benefits. We are driven by Dolly Parton’s mantra that you “can’t put enough books into the hands of enough children”.
It is an exciting time for the Dollywood Foundation. We have recently received a new investment to allow us to scale our Imagination Library programme across London. As families across the capital become eligible for free books, we need to make every effort to ensure families know about the programme and sign up.
This role is integral to that plan, working with local authority and community organisations to spread the word about the programme. The role holder will need to be passionate about books and supporting children’s development. They will hold brilliant relationship building skills to engage local communities and overcome any barriers to families enrolling.
We are a remote team with no fixed office. While this role will be based from home, regular travel across London will be required. The role holder will need to be based in London or surrounding areas to allow for the frequent travel.

The successful candidate will be expected to based/work from Cumbria or the Scottish borders travel across the region will be required, for which you will need to use your own car. A mileage allowance will be paid. This is a part time post.

What are we looking for
A Graduate with a construction-related degree — such as architecture, building surveying, planning, civil engineering, quantity surveying, project management, or construction management — or hold an entry-level construction qualification with at least 12 months’ experience in a construction-related role.
You’ll have a sound understanding of construction principles, procurement, and project management, with a keen eye for detail and a methodical approach to reviewing designs and technical documentation.

We’re looking for a Digital Marketing Officer with paid advertising and organic social media experience to join our Digital team.
As Digital Marketing Officer, you’ll be responsible for creating email marketing campaigns, running paid advertising activity and creating content across organic social channels to help teams across the organisation hit their objectives. You’ll be joining our friendly and expert Digital Engagement Team.
You’ll have previous experience managing email and paid marketing campaigns, creating content for social channels and using digital platforms including Meta Business Manager, Email Service Providers and GA4.

Paid responsibilities
