Overview of the Team  

The Corporate Services team provides essential strategic and operational support across the organisation. Our governance function oversees compliance, risk management, and performance frameworks. The finance team manages budgets, financial planning, and reporting. All of this contributes to effective decision making. We are also responsible for looking after our properties, which includes maintaining oversight of two commercial leases, and maintaining Dartmouth House which is a grade II* listed events venue and our Head Office in Mayfair.

 Purpose of this role  

The Senior Governance Officer will provide high quality support to the Board of Trustees and its sub-Committees, and the Chief Operating Officer. This role will work closely with the Executive Assistant to the Director General. 

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being at the heart of an organisation’s operations—helping to keep the corporate services running smoothly, so that our Education and Supporter teams can focus on delivering impact through our programmes. 

Responsibilities and Expectations  

• Provide governance support including the preparation and timely circulation of agendas, papers, minutes and action logs for Board and Committee meetings.

SANE is a UK-wide mental health charity working to improve the quality of life of anyone affected by mental illness. It aims to raise awareness and understanding of all mental health conditions; fight to improve frontline mental health services for individuals and carers; provide support, information and guidance through SANEline, our Call Back service, email and text support. SANE also promotes and host research into causes, treatments and therapies through its Prince of Wales International Centre for SANE research.

About the role:

We are looking for a compassionate and committed Youth Support and Project Officer to join our SANEline Services team with a dedicated focus on supporting young people affected by mental health.
 

In this role you will;

- Deliver emotional support and to both adults and young people

- Shape and lead on a youth helpline and/or written service

Every 20 minutes, someone is killed or seriously injured on UK roads. For families affected, the emotional and practical challenges are immense. As a Caseworker, you will provide direct, trauma-informed care to individuals and families suffering from the sudden bereavement or life-altering injury of a loved one. Working mostly remotely, with home visits to service users, you’ll offer vital emotional and practical support—including helping them access therapeutic resources, financial assistance, and guidance through the complexities of medical and legal processes.

This role is flexible, allowing you to structure your own working pattern within weekdays from 8am to 6pm. While travel is required, you’ll have control over your diary. The work is challenging but immensely rewarding, requiring resilience, empathy, and a dedication to making a real difference in people’s lives.

Key Responsibilities

· Providing direct support to road victims and their families in the Kent, Essex & East region, following Brake’s trauma-             informed model of care.

· Managing a caseload of service users, ensuring their emotional, practical, and advocacy needs are met.

· Undertaking comprehensive needs assessments and creating individualised support plans

· Offering emotional and practical support—this can include helping families access therapeutic resources, financial                 aid,or even facilitating keepsakes to honour the memory of their loved ones

· Liaising with professionals, including police officers, Family Liaison Officers, mental health services, coroners, GPs,               and other support organisations.

· Advocating for victims within medical, legal, and social services to ensure their voices are heard.

· Providing support through multiple channels, including in-person, remote calls, video chats, and messaging,                           depending on service user preferences.

· Completing safeguarding assessments and escalating concerns to the Designated Safeguarding Lead when needed.

· Maintaining accurate case records in compliance with data protection policies.

· Engaging in external clinical supervision to manage personal resilience and well-being.

· Participating in team meetings, training, and professional development to ensure the highest standard of service                   delivery.

The integral role of Trusts and Statutory Executive will lead on identifying and securing collaboration and funding opportunities with both existing and prospective partners to develop and manage a pipeline of strategic partners giving approximately £5,000 to £20,000, that align with PCR’s mission and core programmes of work. The post will be responsible for proactively researching new trust and statutory funding opportunities and working with the Trusts and Statutory Manager to support and lead on applications to new and existing funding partners (£20,000+). The ideal candidate will be a Trusts and Foundations fundraiser with demonstrable experience of developing and nurturing relationships with funders and partners, understanding complex issues and working with others to identify solutions, and producing compelling funding proposals in support of this work. About the role:

As a Project Worker for Complex Needs, you will play a crucial role in transforming the lives of adults who have experienced homelessness or rough sleeping. By providing compassionate, high-quality support, you’ll help individuals facing multiple challenges, such as mental health issues, substance use, trauma, and offending behaviour. You’ll assist them in navigating their path to recovery and stability by connecting them with vital services, empowering them to overcome barriers and improve their overall wellbeing.

About you:

• A non-judgemental approach to working with multi-disadvantaged clients and to promote a strengths-based approach.
• Strong team-working and interpersonal skills, maintaining a collaborative approach to delivering service objectives across work specialisms.
• Experience helping people to identify personal goals and supporting them through a process of change, including managing challenging situations in relation to people, including responding calmly to crisis and deal promptly, effectively and safely to complex situations.
• Strong time management skills, ability to work on own initiative, manage competing priorities and maintain high standards.
• Willingness and ability to work on a rota system of early and late shifts, which may include some variable hours including some evenings and weekends.

About the Role

As a Waking Night Support Worker in a Semi-Independent Home, you will have the opportunity of developing authentic relationships with our young people (aged 16 – 21 years old), you will also have responsibility for making sure our residents are safe, providing support, liaison with other professionals and completion of support documents to record information.

Throughout the shift you will have the additional support of an on call manager should you have any questions. Further to this, you will be involved in team meetings monthly and will also receive monthly supervision.

Working Hours

Our Young People need care 24/7 so we have fixed rotas, with staff needing to be able to commit to weekends and bank holidays.

For Waking Night support staff; shifts are 11.5 hours from 20:00 - 07:30 or 21:00 - 08:30, on average you will be working 40 hours a week.

There is always the possibility to do overtime if you need a bit extra, this is paid time and half; same as bank holidays.
