The Purpose of the Role
The External Relations (ER) department includes private fundraising, marketing & communications and advocacy. ER’s goal is to mobilize external audiences to raise funding to meet core organization needs deliver programs that support our clients to recover and gain control of their lives; influence policy changes to improve outcomes for our clients; and build and grow our global brand.
The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team plays a vital role in supporting ER to advance our ambitious global strategy. The Role:
SCI is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Press Officer to lead on its external and social media engagement strategy.
You will lead SCI’s engagement with media outlets – including national papers, trade publications and broadcast – to increase our public profile, promote our work and build support for our campaign to accelerate the commercialisation of the UK’s science base.
You will manage SCI’s press office on a day-to-day basis – scanning the media and political landscape to find opportunities for SCI to leverage its unique expertise and perspective as an organisation at the intersection of science and business. The Service
Newham Together Café is a high paced, out-of-hours mental health service provided by MindTHNR, in collaboration with NHS East London Foundation Trust (NEFLT). It provides a safe space for people who may be experiencing or moving towards a mental health crisis. The service will offer a range of psychotherapeutic interventions including 1-1 support and safety plans, wellness & recovery action plans and therapeutic groups.
Newham Together Cafe has an asset-based approach, focusing on the strengths and coping skills of people using the service, helping them to understand how they could use these strengths to decrease their own distress and promote their wellbeing.
The service at the Café will be co-produced with those who use it as well as with local voluntary, statutory and community-based organisations. Night Support Workers enable people with particular needs to manage their tenancies and live independent lives of their choosing in the community. Night Support Workers are responsible for ensuring continuity of a support service at night and for keeping customers and the building safe.
This role is initially 3 months fixed term contract.
The shift pattern for this role is as follows: 10pm to 8am for 10 nights every fortnight, including every other weekend. This is a waking night position and sleeping on shift is strictly forbidden.

About the role:
You may be a qualified IDVA or a Domestic Abuse Outreach Worker wanting to work alongside health professionals in a hospital environment, although we will consider applicants from other fields providing you are able to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of domestic abuse.
This role is co-located within Charing Cross Hospital 4 days per week and 1 day per week at our office near Old Street.
You will:
- Implement effective ways of working with victims and those supporting them to increase safety and reduce harm.
- Provide a high-quality, front-line service to victims of domestic abuse, delivering a premium service prioritised according to risk, primarily focusing on victim/survivors aged 16+
- Work within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse to keep safety central to all services for victims of domestic abuse.
- Be comfortable with running group training sessions and be willing and able to share your specialist knowledge with acute staff across the hospital.
- Have excellent communication skills, a proactive approach and the confidence to be able to influence the way in which this service is delivered are key.
- Please note that the successful applicant will be required to sign an honorary contract with the Hospital Trust in addition to their contract of employment.
You will need:
- Have a knowledge of help-seeking barriers and support needs of victims of domestic abuse (in heterosexual or same-sex relationships).

About the role
Are you passionate about active travel and community engagement? This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the Active Journeys team at Sustrans, based in the London, East and South-East region. As a Project Officer, you will play a dynamic role in delivering a variety of walking, wheeling, and cycling projects that make a real difference to people's lives.
In this varied role, you will be responsible for planning and delivering practical activities for young people in schools, supporting the implementation of School Streets to create safer and healthier environments, and working closely with the National Cycle Network and Infrastructure teams on community engagement for related schemes. Night Support Workers enable people with particular needs to manage their tenancies and live independent lives of their choosing in the community. Night Support Workers are responsible for ensuring continuity of a support service at night and for keeping customers and the building safe.
This role is initially 3 months fixed term contract.

About the Role
