Job Purpose

Main Responsibilities
1. To directly manage a portfolio of corporate supporters, ensuring excellent stewardship and customer experience in order to meet agreed income targets and KPIs and maximise income for BC.
2. Develop and prepare tailored cases for support, proposals, reports and bespoke updates and communications to donors.
3. Identify, nurture, develop and manage new and existing corporate supporters including producing and communicating inspiring funding opportunities aimed at specific organisations.
4. Negotiate and deliver partnership agreements ensuring delivery against agreed targets and a good return on investment for the charity.
5. Monitor income targets and activities for Trading and Corporate fundraising including reporting to the BC Trading Company Board.
6. In conjunction with the Digital Manager, manage BC’s website shop portals and commercial partnerships to ensure a good level of royalties, proactive marketing, and supply of ethically sourced and sustainable goods.
7. Liaise with Communications and PR Team to ensure effective promotion of corporate and business agreements and timely reporting back on campaigns.
8. Update and maintain records of all business and corporate approaches, communications and agreements on the CRM and appropriate files.
9. Advise Branch volunteers where they seek to establish business support for their activities.
10. Where required, develop and/or follow policies and procedures on due diligence, data management, account management, stewardship, and reporting.

* Encourage and enable customers to adhere to all other conditions of their tenancies/ licences, eg maintaining a satisfactory living environment, refraining from anti-social behaviour, allowing access for essential work
* Encourage and enable customers to take necessary steps to seeking and preparing for alternative accommodation where maintaining their current housing situation is unsuitable or unviable
* Ensure that all safeguarding concerns are managed in line with safeguarding protocols and are reported to Contract Manager/Head of Operations, as appropriate
* Undertake all administrative work and keep accurate and comprehensive customer records to professional standards

Overview

About The Role

We're looking for an enthusiastic Complex Needs Worker with considerable experience of working with people with substance misuse, mental health problems and knowledge of the problems that confront homeless people with complex needs. You will be joining the team in our Islington Progression Pathway, a service that provides accommodation and support to individuals with complex needs in a recovery focused way. The team works collaboratively with clients in a safe and supportive environment in developing goals, plans and strategies to better manage their mental health, substance misuse and any associated risks.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Working as part of a multidisciplinary team to create an environment of person-centred support for clients with complex needs, maintaining a safe environment which clients who have experienced complex trauma are able to build their confidence and discover opportunities for positive change, in line with Psychologically Informed Environment principles and St Mungo’s Framework.
- Identifying and developing external relationships that increase accessibility to support within Islington for clients with complex needs.
- Providing training, support and case management to team members
- This role is Monday-Friday 9am-5pm
About you
We are looking for someone who has a good understanding of substance use and ideally one of the following; Mental health, Trauma Informed Care and/or Psychologically Informed Environments. To be successful in this role you will also require:
- The ability to maintain enthusiasm for a high level of contact with clients on a day to day basis.
- An understanding of a Person Centred approach and a non-judgemental way of working with people who have been homeless, and have perhaps had negative experiences of services.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work with others whilst managing your own time.
- The ability to empower individuals to make positive changes and a willingness to develop these valuable skills.
- The ability to work flexibly which may include some weekends to ensure continuity of the service.
- Above all we are looking for someone who will be committed to the overall aims and objectives of the service and working in a psychologically informed way, ensuring clients are at the heart of everything they do.

Overview / purpose of the role
We’re looking for a Finance & Operations Officer who is interested in developing a career in bookkeeping and/or accountancy within the nonprofit sector. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with 1–2 years of experience in a finance or operations role who is looking to build on that foundation and grow their skills in a mission-driven organisation.
You don’t need to have specific qualifications in finance or accounting - what matters most is a strong interest in charity finance, excellent attention to detail, and motivation to grow professionally. You may have worked in a junior finance, administrative, or operations role, and are now ready to take on broader responsibilities and deepen your expertise.
The Finance & Operations Officer is a central resource within CGP, working with colleagues in the Operations Team, and across the organisation to provide financial and operational support to all areas of our work. They will work closely with the Head of Operations & Evaluation to process invoices, expenses and conduct weekly payment runs, ensuring that all financial policies and procedures are carefully adhered to. They will also support colleagues to follow our financial policies and processes and act as the first point of contact for any questions on these procedures. Responsibilities
Finance

Managing our accounts payable inbox, monitoring all incoming invoices and following up with team members on any missing information if required

Processing and coding invoices in Xero accounting software ahead of weekly payment runs

Checking that correct coding and approval procedures are followed for staff expenses

Conducting weekly payment runs via our online banking system

Coordinating our monthly payroll processes (working with external providers)

Working with the Head of Operations & Evaluation and Director of Finance to support the development of funding proposals

Person specification
The right candidate will bring some prior experience in a relevant role, alongside enthusiasm for nonprofit finance and operations. They will have an aptitude for maths and finance, excellent attention to detail and a meticulous, methodical approach to work and troubleshooting.
