About the role

The Social Media & Stories Manager provides organisational leadership for the Refugee Council’s social media and storytelling function, ensuring that digital communications inspire action, shift public attitudes, and amplify the voices of people with lived experience. The postholder combines strategic oversight with hands-on delivery, shaping the organisation’s online presence and setting standards for ethical, authentic, and impactful content across all channels.

This pivotal role drives the long-term communications strategy by embedding insight-led digital practice, leading cross-organisational collaboration, and ensuring that storytelling is consistent, inclusive, and aligned with brand values. By influencing public narratives on asylum and refugees, growing reach and engagement, and safeguarding the integrity of lived-experience stories, the postholder provides assurance to senior leaders and trustees that the Refugee Council’s digital presence is future-focused, reputationally robust, and central to achieving organisational goals.

Hours: 35 hours per week.

Location: Hybrid working with 2 days in Stratford, London.

Working closely with the Participation Manager, you will help shape and develop programmes using collaborative approaches with community groups, schools and youth organisations. This will include building partnerships that support sustained engagement with underserved audiences and encourage young people and families to explore ongoing opportunities within Wakehurst.

We are looking for someone with significant experience of working with young people, families and community groups, with a strong emphasis on outreach and partnership development. You will have a proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with schools, youth organisations and community partners, and of successfully bringing new audiences into programmes or engagement opportunities.

You will be confident working externally and proactively developing connections, with significant experience of engaging under-served communities and a strong understanding of the barriers that can prevent people from accessing nature, science and cultural spaces.

You will play a key role in contributing to the growth of youth and family audiences at Wakehurst by identifying participation trends, developing targeted outreach approaches and working with partners to remove barriers to participation and improve access to engagement opportunities. You will support the development of clear pathways that enable participants to move from initial engagement into deeper involvement with Wakehurst’s programmes, including opportunities linked to the Community Access Scheme.

You will be an excellent communicator with strong organisational skills, able to manage multiple relationships and coordinate projects effectively while working collaboratively with colleagues across different teams. An interest in nature, conservation or environmental engagement is important, alongside a genuine passion for supporting people to connect with the natural world.

Experience of developing new participation initiatives, and embedding inclusive practice within programmes, as well as knowledge of evaluation and safeguarding, would be beneficial.

This role is based at Wakehurst with the option of regular home working, subject to operational requirements.

Who We Are

The Revitalise Trust exists to serve, resource and revitalise the Church in its mission to reach the unchurched, make disciples and transform society by growing vibrant, Jesus-centred, Spirit-filled churches in every community. To date, the Trust has helped plant 200 churches across the UK and beyond and train up and support hundreds of church leaders. As a charity, the Trust is entirely dependent on the generosity of donors to support its work.
This is a key role within the Revitalise Trust, that works collaboratively with others in the team and across the organisation to help raise the necessary funds to support the work of the Trust, supporting and managing a portfolio of existing donors and sourcing and securing new ones, working particularly closely with the Head of UK Fundraising.

The Role

Some of the responsibilities include:

Donor Engagement & Income Generation

• Research and identify new UK funding opportunities and develop tailored engagement strategies.
• Produce high-quality, persuasive proposals and applications to secure new income.
• Manage, steward and grow income streams from new and existing donors, including individuals, trusts and foundations.
• Deliver timely, insightful and impactful donor monitoring reports in line with supporter requirements.

Fundraising Systems & Processes

• Ensure donor records are accurate and up to date across systems such as Raiser’s Edge and SharePoint.
• Support the development of efficient, scalable fundraising processes that align with the wider Trust strategy and KPIs.
• Take responsibility for the smooth running of the Focus giving process.
• Contribute to strategic improvements across our systems, tools and templates, identifying gaps and recommending solutions.

Collaboration & Cross‑Team Working

• Work closely with the Revitalise Trust Fundraising Team, HTB Finance, HTB Giving and cross-entity colleagues to coordinate donor information and opportunities.
• Engage with the Impact Team and Systems Provider/IT to support data integrity and reporting.
• Attend relevant fundraising, giving and GDPR meetings to ensure alignment across the group.

The Ideal Candidate

• Proven fundraising or income‑generation experience, with strong financial awareness and confidence in meeting personal targets and contributing to wider team KPIs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write clear, persuasive briefs and build effective relationships with donors and internal stakeholders at all levels.
• Highly organised, proactive and detail‑focused, able to prioritise multiple deadlines, manage several projects simultaneously, and offer practical, solutions‑driven thinking.
• Experienced in improving organisational processes to increase efficiency, and confident working collaboratively with multi‑level stakeholders to deliver strategic aims.
• Strong technical competence, including experience with donor management systems (e.g. Raiser’s Edge or equivalent), CRM databases, MS Office and related applications.

The Community and Events Fundraiser will join the Income Generation Team and work alongside the Head of Income Generation and Corporate Partnership Lead. The Income Generation Team drives the charity’s fundraising success by developing supporter relationships, delivering campaigns and events, and securing income from individuals, communities, businesses and trusts and foundations. You are responsible for developing and delivering a range of community and event-based fundraising initiatives. Your role involves engaging supporters, building strong relationships within the community, and maximising income through creative and impactful fundraising activities.

Role Outcomes

We’re looking for a Fundraising and Events Lead to play a key role in delivering and growing income across corporate, community and events fundraising. This is a hands-on role where you’ll lead day-to-day fundraising activity, build strong relationships with supporters, and ensure every interaction reflects the quality and care at the heart of our charity.

You’ll work closely with the Head of Fundraising to drive forward plans, strengthen supporter journeys, and ensure our fundraising is proactive, well-coordinated and consistently delivered. You will also line-manage and support our Fundraising Assistant, helping them to develop and thrive in their role.

What you’ll be doing

• Leading the delivery of fundraising activity across corporate, community and events income streams

• Planning and overseeing a varied events programme, ensuring high-quality supporter experiences

• Building and managing relationships with corporate partners, community groups and key stakeholders

About you

Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. We have embarked on our 10-year strategy for ending homelessness. We know it is not inevitable. We know together we can end it.

Location: While not required to be based in London, this role does require a regular presence in our London office and pan London sites, with a minimum of one day per week onsite. To be successful in these roles you will have experience of advising on a range of employment areas. You will be able to demonstrate how you’ve advised and supported managers through, sometimes complex ER issues, to reach a resolution. You will be interested in shaping People and Culture policy and implementing modern practices.

It would be desirable for one of the roles if you have experience of providing People (HR) support in a charity retail environment with the ability to travel and meet with our managers on site across our London shops and warehouse. Both roles will support some of our client services across the UK so occasional travel to some of our regional locations would be required to support the leadership teams on site.

About NUMbrella Lane: NUMbrella Lane (NBL) is one of few sex worker-led services in Scotland. It has been operating since 2022 after National Ugly Mugs (NUM) took over aspects of the programming from the charity that ran Umbrella Lane. Since then, the project has evolved to provide in-person health and wellbeing support to Scotland-based sex workers and host events and outings within the community with a focus on community connectivity, reducing isolation and addressing root causes of interpersonal and intersectional violence.

Role Summary: The main purpose of the Vocational Support Delivery and Development Assistant is to provide trauma-informed, non-judgemental vocational support to sex workers in Scotland. Support members to access tools, resources and pathways to income stability, career development and community-based opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver 1:1 and group-based vocational support (CVs, learning pathways, financial literacy) in person and online
• Facilitate workshops and peer-led sessions
• Run regular in person drop in sessions, responding to community needs
• Connect members with suitable training, employment, or educational opportunities.
• Assist with developing bespoke tools and resources in response to feedback
• Capture member progress via NUM’s evaluation frameworks and build a case study library
• Contribute to cross-team collaboration (casework, mental health, drop-ins) and promote services to members
• Contribute to the day to day running of NUMBrella Lane, which may look different week to week

Base & logistics: Activities are delivered UK-wide via a digital platform, remote services, and in-person hubs. NUM delivers its services UK-wide through a combination of digital resources, remote services and in-person hubs, including NUMbrella Lane in Glasgow. Staff work on a hybrid basis, with the balance of home and location based working based on business needs .This role is primarily in person at our Glasgow venue, with occasional travel possible for meetings, events, and outreach. There is some flexibility for working from home on tasks for which a physical presence in the Glasgow base is not required.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Ability to engage in a confident and empathetic manner with community members facing barriers to accessing mainstream services and employment
