In this brand-new role as HR Business Partner, you will work closely with the Head of HR, supporting the UK team through the provision of a high-level HR service. Key responsibilities within this role will be as follows:
- Work closely with the Head of HR to transform and strengthen the organisational culture, ensuring that managers are skilled and have the confidence to resolve employee issues, and manage and upskill their teams.
- Contribute to the development of the HR strategy and manage the implementation across the charity
- Play a key role in developing and embedding Equality, Diversity and Inclusion across the charity, ensuring that this is at the forefront of all HR activities.
- Support and embed wellbeing initiatives across the charity.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with Managers, Heads of Department and Directors.
- Contribute to the development of pay and compensation strategy through development of pay scales, pay reviews, pay benchmarking, modelling a range of scenarios and presenting this as a business case for consideration.
- Provide tailored HR advice and guidance, using metrics and data to spot trends and identify risks and areas of opportunity.
- Responsible for managing all employee relations cases (including discipline, grievance, capability, and absence procedures)
- Coach managers through informal and formal cases, ensuring that all advice and guidance provided is in line with policies, legal requirements, and best practice.
- Review employee relations cases to identify trends that can be addressed through learning and development, recruitment, or other people activities.
- Support senior managers in workforce planning, reviewing job descriptions, team structure and culture.
- Develop and facilitate bespoke learning and education solutions as required to upskill knowledge and capabilities across stakeholder groups
- Manage volume or bespoke recruitment initiatives and support hiring managers.

Woodgreen is looking to appoint a part time Supporter Relations Executive for 15 hours a week to support our existing team in growing the engagement, loyalty and value of our supporters by ensuring that they always feel valued and know the difference they are making to pets and their people. Working as part of a small but busy team you will be the first point of contact for the charity through the management of the supporter email inboxes, donation phone lines and post and will also look after the administration and processing of donations and data import files. Furthermore you will be responsible for maintaining accurate database records and providing personalised communications.
In addition to this our Supporter Relations Executive will;
- Maintain the fundraising database, and other CRM platforms, so that all supporter details are complete, accurate and up to date in order to comply with GDPR regulations.
- Administer the Gift Aid Programme ensuring Gift Aid declarations are accurately recorded and scanned to maximise Gift Aid income and compliance with HMRC rules and regulations.
- Work collaboratively and positively across the charity, building close working relationships with colleagues to ensure knowledge and key information is shared and obtained so all enquiries received can be answered with accuracy, confidence and professionalism.
- Be responsible for processing and fulfilling supporter requests for fundraising materials such as Pet Promise, Legacy Packs, Money Boxes and Fundraising Packs so supporters receive the information requested in a timely manner in line with service level agreements.
To be considered you will need to have;
- Significant administration and data entry experience.
- Significant customer service experience in a multi-channel environment.
- Significant working experience with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Database.
- Demonstrable experience of effective communication at all levels across an organisation.
- Detailed understanding of Data Protection principles and legislation.
- The ability to multi-task, prioritise and manage your workload to meet deadlines.
- The confidence to use your own initiative when dealing with customer enquiries or complaints.

The starting salary for this role will be £24,000 - £25,936 pro rata per annum depending on experience.

A project has been established that is currently working with 33 schools and 33 churches in developing discipleship pathways for children and young people in Bolton. One key aspect of this project is the ‘Shades Project’, which focuses on racial justice and faith, supporting schools and churches in developing a culture for all children and young people, regardless of racial background, to thrive and flourish. In response to the exciting growth of the Shades Project, they are looking to appoint a Shades Project Worker to support the growing opportunities for Christian discipleship and to embed the Shades ethos in primary and secondary schools and parishes in Bolton deanery.
The Shades Project Worker will work with the Shades team in primary and secondary schools, delivering Shades Collective Worship and Shades ‘Faith and Identity’ workshops. They will also lead Shades Ambassadors groups for those children and young people who are passionate about growing in their understanding of racial justice, the Christian faith, and becoming courageous advocates. The Shades Project Worker will also work with Bolton parishes and mission communities to promote the Christian message of God’s love for all of his children, encouraging children, young people, and adults to celebrate their God-given identities and to grow spiritually.
The Shades Project Worker will have many opportunities for training and development, as well as the creative freedom to develop initiatives for children and young people. They will work within a highly motivated and supportive team, who are committed to prayer and to welcoming children and young people into the life of the church.
The post holder should have experience of volunteering with children or young people in a church and/or school context. They will have a good knowledge of anti-racism and racial justice and a strong passion for a combined focus on the Christian faith and racial justice, as well as experience working with diverse communities.
To succeed, they need to be enthusiastic, relational, self-motivated, and able to lead in a range of different contexts. They will be creative and able to lead and support activities in schools and parishes. They will be excellent communicators, with good interpersonal skills, sensitivity, and an ability to communicate effectively with people from a wide range of cultural backgrounds. They will be able to build and maintain effective working partnerships and have a working understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.

The Role

The Head of Policy and Public Affairs will lead and have oversight of all policy and public affairs activities; developing the function; establishing policy positions; delivering evidence-driven campaigns and effective stakeholder engagement; to secure policy change and funding to benefit people seeking advice and the communities served by members.
Key responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement effective strategies for policy and funder influence, ensuring alignment with AdviceUK's strategic objectives. Provide ongoing strategic oversight of political and sector trends to inform decision-making.
- Policy Development and Advocacy: Lead the creation and coordination of clear policy positions, identify influencing goals, and overseeing responses to government consultations. Represent AdviceUK at external events.

The Head of Policy and Public Affairs will have at least 3 years' experience of working in a similar role and experience and/or an understanding of the social welfare advice sector, the issues faced by advice providers and the communities they serve. The successful candidate will have developed and delivered impactful policy and public affairs strategies that have led to demonstrable change either directly or by working in coalitions and partnerships. You will have experience of acting as a spokesperson including to the media, at events, to select committees and other government or funder-led working groups. You will be a strategic leader with the ability to build strong working relationships and manage and motivate a team. You will have strong analytical, organisational and prioritisation skills.
This role is home-based. You will need to attend meetings and events in London as part of the role and quarterly SMT meetings and all staff meetings with some travel across the UK and overnight stays. There may be out of hours work for which TOIL is granted.

The Role
Global Greengrants Fund UK is looking to hire an energetic and passionate individual who will play a key role in collaborating across teams to support finance and grantmaking.
