The Fire Fighters Charity offers specialist, lifelong support for members of the UK fire services community, empowering individuals to achieve mental, physical and social wellbeing throughout their lives.

We provide confidential, personalised support to the whole of the fire services community, whether that’s at our centres, over the phone, online or out in communities.

We are looking for an experienced Fundraiser to join our national team who can inspire the diverse communities across the North East of England to unite support for their fire community.

The Role
Building relationships with the fire and rescue services in your area, you’ll become an integral part of the local fire services community. You’ll join a nation-wide team of inspiring and innovative fundraisers, working collaboratively to secure the much-needed income for the Charity. 

Helping to coordinate events, support fundraising initiatives and implement new ideas, you’ll support your people, stations, and offices to raise awareness of the Charity and achieve and exceed income targets, as well as working with local businesses and people to maximise our fundraising potential.

By generating the income, we need to realise our ambitions you will help us to be there for even more members of the fire and rescue community.

This role is subject to a Basic Disclosure and Barring Services Check.

About You
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and innovative fundraiser to join our team, full of ideas and a positive attitude.

You’ll need excellent business and project planning skills, as well as the ability to multi-task and adapt your communication style to your audience.

You’ll be responsible for maximising the potential fundraising income from every initiative you support, so you must be able to effectively engage with multiple stakeholders and build strong networks.

You’ll also be able to support and inspire our volunteers, ensuring that these vital links between our Charity and the fire and rescue services are happy and fulfilled in their roles.

Reporting to the Fundraising Manager, you’ll be an excellent communicator with exceptional organisational skills and a ‘can do’ attitude.

As a Ubele Programme Assistant, you will be a member of the Community Wealth Building hub supporting our Programme Manager with the Agbero2100 London programme by overseeing administrative tasks, communicating with our partners ensuring resource availability for the project team from project inception to completion.

Main duties & Responsibilities

• To act as the first point of contact for the Agbero2100 London programme, responding to and redirecting enquiries as appropriate.

• To gather partner agreements, consultancy agreements, contracts and purchase orders, working closely with our finance hub to issue invoices and chase outstanding payments.

• To organise events and seminars, and to draw together the contributions and outcomes from these events.  Providing support where appropriate.
• To contribute to the coordination of events with the support of Comms including maintaining positive relationships with Comms.
• To support the programme manager in efficiently collecting, relevant data to inform decision-making and enhance project outcomes.
• The Programme Assistant will utilize appropriate tools and techniques to collate data from various project stakeholders, teams, and relevant sources.  Establish a structured approach to capture both qualitative and quantitative data to assess project progress and performance under the instruction of the Programme Manager or Hub Lead.
• Support the Programme Manager in preparing regular and ad-hoc reports. 
• Support the Programme Manager to maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of data collection methods, analysis techniques, and results for project audit and future reference.

Property & Facilities Manager

Salary: £37,500pa (pro rata); Full time or part time (3 days)

We are seeking a Property & Facilities Manager who will be responsible for managing the day to day running of the properties of Richmond Team Ministry and their facilities. The properties include three churches, their associated church halls, vicarages, Parish Office and investment properties.

We are looking for someone with property and facilities management experience including managing small building projects and related finance and budgeting.  S/he needs to be able to work collaboratively as part of a small team and have the ability to take the initiative and develop the role while supporting the ethos of the Richmond Team Ministry.

The position is based in Richmond upon Thames. 

The Services Manager (Housing) will primarily focus on the managing New Horizon's Housing Advice service, delivered both from the day centre and remotely. You will work with the Head of Services to ensure the service responds holistically to young people with multiple needs or barriers.  You should be experienced in the housing and homelessness sector, be a passionate advocate for young people. and have the ability to motivate a team to deliver high quality services in a fast-paced environment. You should be skilled in partnership management and able to collaborate to identify new housing solutions for young people.

REMAP is a unique national charity. It brings together two groups of people: volunteers skilled at making things and disabled people who need specialist equipment. Each year, around 3,000 pieces of custom-made equipment help transform the lives of disabled people.

REMAP’s army of ingenious inventors designs and makes equipment for young and old alike and then provides it free of charge. The aim is always to help people achieve quality of life, filling the gap where no suitable equipment is available commercially.

The Role

The Operations Manager's role is critical to the charity's long-term sustainability and is pivotal in ensuring that we remain relevant and necessary.

This is an internally focused role in our service delivery, covering clients' and volunteers' journeys. You will be part of the management team, ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of our central team's support to our network of branches.

We seek someone passionate about providing a quality service to everyone and who is not afraid to drive change and improvement. Experience in being part of a team delivering a change programme that involves volunteers is essential. You must demonstrate that you are a resilient, strong team player with an eye for detail and excellent people skills. You will thrive in a busy environment and have a positive ‘can do’ attitude.

As a small charity, the role will require balancing practical tasks with strategic planning and management. Building on what has already been done, you will work directly with the CEO and the Strategic Programme & Change Manager to help develop REMAP's operational structure and support its day-to-day operations.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will have demonstrable experience in a similar position and be comfortable working with a diverse range of volunteers/people. As a self-starter, you can work at pace and quickly assess and deliver to changing priorities in a busy remote team. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, be able to coordinate multiple tasks/activities and have the flexibility to respond to changing demands.

You will be proactive, enthusiastic, and excited about joining an organisation with ambitious plans to future-proof its services and reach more disabled people. Experience working in a remote environment is highly desirable.

Terms & Conditions

Place of work: Fully remote, with occasional 2/3 nights away for year-round events.

Working Hours: 37 hrs—a minimum of core hours from 10 am to 3 pm Monday through Friday must be met.

Salary: £35,000 – 40,000, dependent on experience

Holiday entitlement: Begins at 25 days per annum, in addition to public holidays.

We are recruiting a Programme Manager to lead our grassroots consortium Better Bethnal Green (BBG), supporting young people facing multiple/complex disadvantages in the borough. Our partners and we are specialists in transforming the life trajectories of young people who have become marginalised by local poverty, unemployment and crime – particularly those from BAME communities who are disproportionately affected by these issues.

The candidate will need to have experience in managing multiple projects at a senior level, a proven track record, an excellent communicator and an understanding of London and in particular Tower Hamlets’ voluntary sector.
