About the role

Corporate Partnerships are a vital income stream for Habitat for Humanity GB, and with the guidance of our Head of Corporate, the Corporate Partnership Manager will work to maximize fundraising opportunities and strengthen relationships with our current partners.

What the role involves

The Partnerships Manager will help to retain long term support and drive growth within in our portfolio for Habitat for Humanity GB. With an understanding of corporate partnerships and a passion for the charity sector and international humanitarian work, you will work as part of a team to ensure long-term relationships are fostered. Principle activities will include:

· Develop creative and innovative fundraising strategies for corporate partnerships, including writing proposals and pitches.

· Foster long-term relationships with partners through personalized and proactive engagement.

· Collaborate across the network to implement global partnership activations locally.

· Produce regular reports on progress, financial targets, and key learnings from fundraising efforts.

· Work with the Head of Corporate Fundraising to streamline the transition from new business prospects to account management.

· Collaborate with the Global Volunteering Executive to maximize fundraising and grow the Global Volunteering program.

· Partner with the New Business executive to develop marketing materials and co-deliver presentations.

· Manage partnership activations, such as Gingerbread House Day and World Habitat Day.

· Support partners' employee participation in challenge events.

· Assist with corporate partner communications during humanitarian emergencies.

· Provide day-to-day support to further corporate team goals, with flexibility to assist other teams.

· Represent Habitat for Humanity GB at external events.

· Lead and carry out additional duties as assigned by the Head of Corporate Fundraising.

Experience

· Previous experience of raising funds from Corporate Partners for development programs across the world and in the UK.

· Great eye for opportunity and ability to proactively identify unique areas of crossover from which to leverage partnerships.

· Strong research and analysis tools and ability to conduct desk based research to understand strategic synergies between organisations.

A flexible approach

HFHGB is seeking to rapidly scale up its activities and impact to fight poverty across the world. While this is a home-based role, there is an expectation that the post holder will be flexible, and able to travel to Greater London and elsewhere on a regular basis.

Summary of main responsibilities and accountabilities

Partnership Management, Stakeholder Engagement & Business Development

· Working alongside the Tees & Tyne Regional Manager to respond to the needs of the programme, ensuring that our young people have meaningful encounters with a range of employers from a diversity of industries and sectors.

· Day-to-day operational account management for employer supporters, ensuring they have excellent experiences.

· Full partnership and operational account management for lower-level funders in your region.

· Promote the contribution of Career Ready and awareness of Career Ready to potential supporters and assist in engaging their commitment to give both practical and financial support.

· Engaging new corporate, third and public sector organisations to directly support the programme delivery, working with the Head of Programmes to launch and grow the Tees & Tyne Regional Action Board 

· Work with the Programmes and Partnership and Incomes teams to develop and deliver the overall employer engagement strategy for the area ensuring that the number of mentors is matched with the paid internship commitment and that employer volunteers are in place for masterclass delivery and workplace visits.

· Working with the Partnership Manager leading the relationship with BP to help generate leads with local businesses that are connected to BP’s activity in the region.

As Head of Business and Data systems you will lead every aspect of our data and information management across a portfolio of platforms. 

Working to ensure they speak to each other in smart and powerful ways, all offering team members and company the most up-to-date and high quality insight into the needs, priorities and challenges of members of the We Are In Beta community.

• Lead data management and consistency across all systems, including 

  • Automated and manual flows needed for business activities and reporting

What experience and track record do you have?

It’s not essential you tick every box. But the more boxes you can tick the better. It goes without saying, we can help you gain and learn from the experiences you haven’t had yet.

• Proven experience across CRM, databases, community/content platforms, newsletter distribution, integration and automation tools. This could be from previous roles such as data analytics, community building, digital marketing or business transformation.

• Comfortable with principles of coding in Python but no need to be a pro.

• Strong understanding of data management and GDPR requirements.

• Led digital transformation/change projects, with a strong approach to project management and stakeholder engagement.

• Designed and delivered training, and/or produced clear and concise written user guides, taking time to understand the needs and starting points of the team.

• Experience with management, analysis and visualisation of large-scale data sets - ideally in educational outcomes/performance.

• Experience of the realities of working for an early-stage organisation without a big team or huge budget. We are especially interested in those who have grown a tech team/function from the ground up.

Our expectation is that you have worked within the school education sector in England, though we are open to applicants who have not if you can show you have a good base of knowledge of the needs of school teachers and leaders.

About the charity: Cavernomas look like raspberries and are found in the brain and spinal cord.  They're formed of abnormal blood vessels with thin leaky walls, which can bleed at any age without warning.  1 in 625 people are thought to have a cavernoma, and whilst most people won't experience symptoms 1 in 2,700 do.  Symptoms can include haemorrhages, seizures and other neurological problems.  Treatment involves 'wait and see', neurosurgery or stereotactic radiosurgery; with no medications currently available.

Cavernoma Alliance UK (CAUK) is a member-led organisation, run by and for those impacted by cavernoma with more information available on our website. We work from a model of empowerment, recognising the value of our members’ lived experience to provide mutual support, improve standards of care and drive research into finding a cure.

Since the charity was founded in 2005 it has grown from a volunteer-led organisation based in Dorchester to a UK wide registered charity that now has 2 part-time permanent staff, looking to increase to 4 Part-time staff (all home-based), 50+ volunteers, and 4,000+ members. Our support services include a helpline, buddying, counselling, online support groups, meet-ups, webinars, lectures, newsletter, leaflets, website and social media. 

About the roles: The Member Support Assistant is responsible for assisting our Volunteer Manager with administration relating to the support of the charity’s 4,000 members and volunteers.  This includes offering a professional service to members of CAUK, typically via phone, email, online, chat, or on occasion in person. The role involves supporting the membership and volunteering processes, ensuring all admin is accurate and up to date.  Over time the post-holder will be expected to build a good working knowledge of members and volunteers.  They will also be expected to develop strong communication skills, including active listening, alongside the ability to multitask, manage time and prioritise.

The Events and Office Assistant is responsible for assisting the Charity Manager with the administration of events alongside some general office activities for the charity.  This includes assisting with the organisation of the virtual Annual Conference, virtual Monthly Information Webinars, in-person Annual Snowdon Climb for Cavernoma, online Cavernoma Awareness Month activities, in-person Autumn Lecture, virtual Secret Santa, attendance by volunteers at external conferences, and any other events organised by CAUK.  As and when time permits in between events the post-holder will also assist with some general office activities, including posting t-shirts/fundraising packs to fundraisers and arranging Zoom meetings.

Finance and Resources Manager (Full Time)

Advocacy After Fatal Domestic Abuse (AAFDA) was founded by Frank Mullane in memory of his sister Julia Pemberton and her son Will who were both killed by her ex-partner in 2003.  

Each year, around 150 families lose a loved one to domestic homicide. The actual number of suicides as a result of domestic abuse remains unknown. AAFDA’s prime function is to provide families in England and Wales with specialist peer support and expert and specialist advocacy for the range of statutory reviews that will take place after domestic homicide.

As a growing charity, AAFDA is looking for an exceptional candidate to join our supportive team and lead our finance and resource management functions. The role will provide and manage the HR, administration and finance activities of the charity and sit within the Senior Leadership Team.

In this role you’ll be both strategic and hands-on, solely managing the financial controls for this small charity with a £350k annual turnover.  You will support the Director and senior management team through your management of financial processes, policy and planning.

This will include using accountancy software to process income and expenditure, producing management accounts for the senior management team and Board, and ensuring the charity reports to its key funders, including Arts Council England. 

You’ll process payroll for our small team of 6 employees, taking care of liaison with HMRC as well as handling external audit and company filing.

Unfazed by working mostly alone, you’ll be incredibly organised with your time and workload to ensure processes are handled in a timely and accurate fashion. You’ll have experience of working with small organisations and charities, knowledgeable about the areas of financial control that you will be our expert on.

The role is an employee position for one day per week, however we are open to discuss flexibility of working hours and the possibility of freelance working with the successful candidate.

About the Role

The Open Government Partnership (OGP) Support Unit (SU) seeks an experienced accounting professional with proven track record  in the non-profit sector to provide finance and accounting services to support the Finance team.  We are looking for an individual with strong understanding of accounting principles, with excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail. 

The consultant will assist with preparing and analyzing financial reports and ensuring that financial records are accurate and compliant with relevant regulations where OGP conducts business. This role involves various accounting tasks, including general ledger entries, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and assisting with audits. The Consultant will work closely with other finance team members to ensure that financial and accounting systems, controls, and standards are in place to support the organization's overall financial health.

 Ideal candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and experience with  accounting software- Intacct or Netsuite preferred. The consultant can work remotely, with a preference to be based in the Washington, D.C. area, London, or Brussels.

Deliverables and Timeline

Consultant services are required through March 31, 2025, with the possibility of a contract extension. Key deliverables and services to be provided include:

1. General Ledger Maintenance:

   • Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger.

   • Maintain and update balance sheet account reconciliations.

   • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.

2. Financial Reporting:

   • Prepare draft  financial statements and supporting schedules.

   • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

   • Support compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

3. Accounts Payable and Receivable:

   • Review payables and receivables.

   • Review and post accounts receivable payments.

   • Reconcile bank accounts using the accounting system.

4. Audit and Compliance:

   • Assist the Finance Director with internal and external audits.

   • Support the Finance Director to ensure adherence to internal controls, financial policies, and donor requirement regulations.

   • Maintain accurate and organized financial records for audit purposes.

5. Budgeting and Forecasting:

   • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.

   • Assist with analyzing variances between actual results and budgeted figures.

6. Special Projects:

   • Support special projects and process improvements as needed.

   • Support the implementation of new budgeting software

Agreement and payment

OGP and the Consultant will enter into a service contract as listed in this Terms of Reference. The agreement will start as soon as possible. For services rendered per the description above, the consultant will be issued a contract with a fee of US$60/hour (VAT included) corresponding to about 20 hours per week between October and March. Contract will be for a maximum of 560 hours of work through March 31, 2025, with a ceiling amount of USD $33,600, with possibility of renewal. The consultant will invoice OGP at either monthly or other agreed upon frequency intervals, as preferred, and include details of number of hours worked and description of services rendered per invoice period and banking information. This is a senior and key role within the Finance Directorate. The Head of Strategic Finance will provide leadership, expertise, and hands-on support in the following areas
