Job description

We require a full-time member of staff, on a 12 month fixed term contract, to support our office work as we recover from the pandemic. The role includes finance, HR, supporting our volunteers and other tasks.

The new role will support our finance officer with regular duties to ensure that our finance systems operate efficiently.

The role will assist in recruitment, from advertising vacancies to inducting a new colleague.

The role will support our team of reception volunteers, who may have learning disabilities, including answering phones; taking messages and greeting visitors.

The role will help ensure that Barnet Mencap remains compliant with GDPR and other data protection legislation.

The role will alert safeguarding concerns and respond accordingly, with reference to Barnet Mencap policy and national legislation.

The role will offer IT and administrative support to all staff and volunteers working for Barnet Mencap on a day-to-day basis as directed by the Business & Strategy Manager.
