About the Role

We are seeking a charity professional with evaluation and impact experience, and skills to develop Lewisham Local’s business functions such as service delivery impact with a focus on impact measurements of infrastructure work, premises, and admin.

This is a newly built role to support the charity’s new ambitious three-year strategy.

Main Objectives

• Develop and deliver the charity’s Impact and Evaluation framework
• Ensure charity’s CRM Salesforce is used at every level of capturing data

Support, develop and manage Lewisham Local’s business functions such as Admin and Premises management

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Impact Measurement

• Working closely with the SMT and project leads to understand the depth of the work carried out by Lewisham Local and develop an impact and evaluation framework to measure the success of our work.
• Train and support colleagues to ensure the framework is embedded into our daily work measuring the change created as a result of the work carried out by Lewisham Local.
• Run a quarterly impact report for SMT and Board
• Introduce data capture protocols and training on using the charity's CRM Salesforce to ensure data is recorded and up to date
• Act as a champion for this across the team

Manage Admin function

• Manage the two (job share - 0.8 & 0.2 FTE) Admin officers who support the CEO, Board and take on the general office admin tasks
• Develop and improve Lewisham Local’s admin processes

Manage premises – support and training will be offered

• Manage a Premises Coordinator (0.6FTE) in safe running the Orchard Gardens Community Centre
• Support the CEO in developing premises strategy and future proposals

Together with SMT and the CEO manage Lewisham local’s fundraising function, reviewing and contributing to the grant applications.

Purpose of the Role:

The Senior Research, Policy and Influencing Manager will play a pivotal role in driving Cerebra’s mission to influence national and local policy and practice. You will lead on the translation of research into actionable policy recommendations, develop strategic partnerships, advocate for systemic change and influence, persuade and engage with policy makers to improve outcomes for children with neurological conditions and their families. Alongside this you will work with the Research and Information team on Cerebra’s research contracts and the development and dissemination of information.

This is a senior role requiring strategic vision, strong analytical and communication skills, and an ability to build influence across government, academia, and the third sector.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

1. Policy and Influencing  

• Identify opportunities to influence national and local policy agendas, including legislation, guidance, and funding priorities related to childhood disability and neurological conditions.
• Develop accessible and compelling policy briefings, consultation responses, reports, speeches, and presentations for a range of stakeholders, including MPs, government officials, sector partners and the public.
• Monitor policy developments across the neuro-diverse landscape and lead on timely, evidence-led responses.
• Analyse data, trends and policy developments to produce insights and recommendations.
• Translate complex ideas into clear, persuasive communications that support positive change.
• Ensure our policy positions reflect the real experiences and insights of the neuro-diverse children and families we support.
• Develop and deliver Cerebra’s policy and influencing strategy, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and research priorities.
• Develop and deliver influencing campaigns in partnership with Communications team.
• Work closely with the Communications Team by contributing to the drafting of responses to media enquiries on our policy and influencing work and act as the media contact if required.
• Liaise with the Legal Rights Team to assess the impact of current or proposed policies in terms of their actual or potential effects on children with neurological conditions at both national and local levels, and for their input into consultation responses.

2. Engagement and Relationship Building

• Build and maintain strong strategic relationships with decision-makers across government departments, policymakers, NHS bodies, local authorities, professional associations, and sector partners.
• Represent Cerebra at meetings and events, including engaging with MPs, civil servants, policy forums, advisory groups, and cross-sector coalitions and other key influencers, or brief the CEO or Directors if attending.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure our policy and influencing work is grounded in practice and informed by those delivering services.
• Work closely with the Communications Team to ensure consistent, impactful messaging.

3. Research and Information

• With one of our Lead Research Officers leading, you will oversee the tendering process and delivery of our research contracts.
• Working with our Information Development Officer to ensure that we maintain our PIF Tick accreditation for our information resources.
• Carry out high-quality research and analysis.
• Use findings from Cerebra-funded and external research to produce policy briefs, consultation responses, and evidence-based recommendations.
• Alongside our Lead Research Officers carry out horizon scanning to identify emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities in child health, neurodiversity, and public service delivery.

4. Budgeting, monitoring and forecasting

• Working with the team and Director to set income and expenditure budgets for Corporate, Philanthropy, Legacy and Trust & Foundations to assist with any funding applications.
• Monitoring and reporting on income and expenditure and KPIs throughout the year.
• Providing quarterly income and expenditure re-forecasts.
• Ensuring all relevant information is recorded in line with charity, fundraising and data legislation and best practice.

5. Line Management

• Line management responsibilities for a small team, currently comprising of 3 staff.
• Be responsible for the day-to-day management of the team.
• Complete regular supervision and team meetings.
• Provide effective performance management to the team.
• Promote a positive and inclusive team culture aligned with Cerebra’s values.

6. General

• Monitor and evaluate the impact the areas of work that leading on.
• Support collaboration across the different Cerebra teams.
• Experience using Client Relationship Management (CRM) systems or similar digital tools for recording and tracking work.
• Uphold Cerebra’s Data Protection Policy and all relevant confidentiality and safeguarding policies.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties in line with the needs of the team and organisation.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the implementation and integration of HR and Payroll systems. Working within our Change and Transformation team, you will partner closely with the People and Culture Directorate to deliver our HRIS (Human Resource Information System) project in a way that is technically robust, people centred and operationally sustainable.

This role recognises that technology change succeeds only when people are engaged, supported and clear about what is changing and why. Alongside strong project and technical delivery, you will play a critical role in shaping communication, engagement and adoption, ensuring colleagues across the organisation are equipped and confident to use new systems effectively from day one.

Reporting to the Transformation Cluster Leader, key responsibilities will include:

· Lead the successful end-to-end delivery of the HRIS implementation from initiation, requirements definition, configuration, testing, deployment and transition into business as usual.

· Support the development of business cases and phase gate documentation, to ensure strategic alignment, accurate financial and risk assessments, and governance readiness

· Drive the requirements gathering process, partnering with key SMEs to translate business needs into effective system configurations

· Work with our vendors to research and resource system requirements to optimise HRIS usage and simplify the data architecture landscape

· Oversee data migration activities, ensuring data cleansing, mapping, validation and reconciliation are robust

· Develop and deliver a stakeholder engagement and communication approach, working with the change communications specialists, that supports understanding, readiness and adoption of new systems and ways of working.

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate a strong track record in delivering HRIS projects within large, complex organisations. You should bring robust technical knowledge of HRIS platforms, along with excellent project management abilities, including the use of structured methodologies. Experience with the full data migration process, covering data mapping, extraction, transformation and validation is essential.

This role is a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract, starting ASAP.

You will be expected to travel regularly in the course of your work including regularly to London Haig House. You will be contracted to your home address, where you will be expected to work when not travelling.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to lead and develop RMBF’s national volunteer programme, working with a network of doctors and medical students across the UK.

As Volunteer Manager, you will lead and grow our volunteer strategy, strengthening engagement, expanding our reach within the medical community, and empowering volunteers to play a vital role in fundraising, awareness‑raising, and championing our work within their professional networks.

You will shape how volunteering works at RMBF, developing new opportunities, improving the volunteer experience and ensuring our network is equipped to support the charity’s mission and reach more doctors and medical students.

The Role

Doctors and medical students are central to RMBF’s identity and impact, and this role is designed to ensure we build and sustain an engaged, well-supported and effective volunteer network. Its purpose is to expand awareness of RMBF across the medical profession, encourage doctors and students to seek support when they need it, strengthen fundraising efforts, and build lasting relationships within the medical community nationwide.

1. Volunteer Strategy, Development & Growth

• Lead the delivery of RMBF’s volunteer strategy to drive growth, engagement and impact.
• Expand and diversify volunteer involvement across medical schools, Royal Colleges and professional networks.
• Define meaningful volunteer roles and pathways and build strong recruitment pipelines nationwide.

2. Recruitment, Onboarding & Volunteer Experience

• Deliver targeted recruitment campaigns to grow the national volunteer network.

3. Programme Delivery, Enablement & Collaboration

• Oversee volunteer-related policies, processes and best practice.

5. Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting

• Set and monitor KPIs for volunteer engagement and programme impact.
• Gather feedback and drive continuous improvement across the volunteer programme.
• Produce regular reports for the Senior Leadership Team and Board, highlighting growth, engagement, volunteer satisfaction and increased volunteer-led activity.

Essential Experience & Knowledge

• Proven experience managing or developing a volunteer programme, including recruitment, engagement and retention.

• Experience monitoring impact and using data to improve programmes.

This newly created senior role strengthens The Young Foundation’s strategic business development function and supports income growth across the full range of our programmes and partnerships. The post will provide expertise in fundraising and procurement processes including approaches to philanthropic funders and investor circles as well as formal tendering, dealing with a range of funding modalities from research grants to commercial consultancy and trusts and foundations.

Prior experience – essential  

• Substantial experience of leading/managing business development and income generation for a think tank or similar research/innovation led organisation.

• Understanding of UK government and non-government sectoral funding landscapes.

Main Responsibilities:

• Provide direct line management to Community Shop Managers, ensuring clarity of objectives and accountability and assist them in the day-to-day running of their stores.
• Maximise income from the Community Shops in the region by tightly managing expenditure and being innovative in income generation.
• Conduct regular shop visits to monitor performance, provide feedback, and document findings in visit reports.
• Develop and execute an annual business plan for the region and the individual Community Shops.
• Assist with the preparation of budget forecasts and monthly reporting.
• Monitor retail budgets, track expenditures and flag variances.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety, financial control, and all operational policies and procedures.
• Process Shop Teams’ petty cash claims and expenses and sign-off timesheets.
• Work with Recruitment and HR teams to fill vacancies and support Community Shop teams.
• Maintain staff and volunteer records – particularly around absence tracking and training logs.
• Work with and support Shop Teams to achieve financial targets.
• Keep up to date with developments in the charity retail sector at the local and national level and use this information to help grow the business.
• Support the Shop Teams in embedding the shops in their local communities.
• Allocate resources within the region and share best practices across the shops to maximise opportunities to achieve budgets.
• Serve as a liaison between Shop Teams and the wider charity.
• Deliver inductions, coaching, and training to Community Shop Managers and Shop Teams.

• Maintain P&L accountability for the region, controlling costs and monitoring budgets.

Main Purpose and Scope of the Job:

Prepare compelling responses to grant applications, support the Business Development Director and wider leadership team with responses to complex tenders and high-value funding applications.
