This role will design and secure a portfolio of national and local strategically aligned, market-relevant and impactful programmes which use arts, culture and creativity to achieve a positive impact on our target audiences. These programmes will empower the health, wellbeing, learning, social mobility and social connection of people supported by Age Exchange and Community Integrated Care. The role holder will play an essential role in leading the growth, reach and sustainability of Age Exchange by generating funding and commercial revenue and new partnerships.
What You'll do (list not exhaustive):
- Win funding & partnerships that fuel our programmes and core costs—trusts & foundations, corporates/sponsorships, individual giving, and earned income.
- Build and manage a high-quality pipeline—prospect, cultivate, write compelling bids/proposals, negotiate, and steward partners.
- Collaborate across the delivery team—aligning with colleagues so proposed projects and tenders are fundable, impactful, and on-brand.
- Report outcomes & learn—own quarterly KPI reporting and iterate approaches to hit clear income and partnership targets.
Our ideal Candidate:
- Degree-level education or equivalent experience.
- Proven success in bid writing and securing projects/tenders of £250k+.
- Strong experience in fundraising, commercial development, and project management within a funded environment.
- Creative thinker with the ability to design innovative programmes aligned to strategic objectives.
- Excellent relationship-building and influencing skills, with experience engaging stakeholders at senior levels.
- Skilled communicator and presenter, able to craft compelling proposals and pitches.
- Proficiency in MS Office and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet).
- Bring proven success in the arts or heritage sector (e.g., museums, galleries, performing arts, creative health, community arts) with a track record of securing grants and/or sponsorships.
- Are a confident storyteller and bid writer who can turn creative ideas into fundable, strategically aligned propositions.

About You & The Role
You are a natural builder who enjoys closing deals, developing relationships and creating meaningful social impact. You will shape and lead PBC’s first dedicated fundraising function, building a portfolio from the ground up with limited existing donor relationships.
The role focuses on securing six-figure corporate partnerships and cultivating high-net-worth individual donors, alongside a smaller trusts and foundations portfolio. You thrive in a strategic, relationship-led role and are comfortable using a broad range of fundraising approaches.

Key Responsibilities

We are seeking to appoint two Fiduciary Risk Officers to join our established Fiduciary Risk team working on the financial management of funds and grants awarded to new and existing grantees. Reporting to the Fiduciary Risk Manager, your main responsibilities will be to undertake complete financial management checks on grant holders, ensuring that the funds given are used as intended and reach the correct beneficiaries. Experienced in financial review and reporting, you will conduct due diligence and use financial analysis to provide accurate, financial reports.
About you
Ideally, you will be a Graduate with a minimum of 3 years’ experience or have comparable experience in a financial/fiduciary role and, be able to competently demonstrate the following.
- Carry out regular financial management checks through assessment of financial reporting
- Conduct due diligence and report on findings through standard methodology
- Have confidence with desk based or on-site fraud investigations
- Communicate effectively with our grant holders to provide support & guidance, ensuring that grantees fully understand the required financial templates and reporting process
Strong written and communication skills are a prerequisite, alongside proficient use of MS Office and advanced Excel. Given the geographics of our grantees’ written and communication skills in French is desirable as is experience in working the charitable/grants sector.

We are interested in a wider pool of candidates with 5+ years in the working world, possibly from other start-ups or programme design focus instead of 'trad' fundraising roles'. Within these two funding rounds, all grants have already been contracted and are in operation. The role will primarily involve the management of a small portfolio of grantees, and leadership of a team of 2 Fiduciary Risk Officers who will manage grants covering the rest of the portfolio.
The Fund is funded by UK Aid from the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) and by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) and is supported by the GSMA and its members.
Reporting to the GSMA Team Lead, you will lead the management of the financial side of the grants and mitigating fiduciary risks. Experienced in financial review and reporting, you will conduct due diligence and use financial analysis to provide accurate, financial reports.
About you
You will be a Graduate with a minimum of 8 years’ experience or have comparable experience in a financial/fiduciary role and, be able to competently demonstrate the following.
- Lead on management of the Fund Manager’s portfolio in the GSMA Innovation Fund for Impactful AI and Mobil for Humanitarian
- Lead the financial side of the grant closure process
- Provide technical support for the grant management teams ensuring budget templates and financial reporting processes are understood and adhered to.
- Provide leadership to two Fiduciary Risk Officers.
Strong written and communication skills are a prerequisite, alongside proficient use of MS Office and advanced Excel.

Main Purpose and Scope of the Job:
Prepare compelling responses to grant applications, support the Business Development Director and wider leadership team with responses to complex tenders and high-value funding applications.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Purpose - working closely with Senior Managers, the post holder will support all aspects of business development and fundraising, including the development of bids, tender submissions and applications for funding to achieve the Association’s objectives. The postholder will also play an important role in supporting the mobilisation of projects and services following a successful application.
SOME KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the development and implementation of a Business Development Strategy incorporating grant funding, contracted provision and social enterprise development, which aligns with the Association’s Strategic and Development Plans.
- Support the development and implementation of an annual Fundraising Plan with ambitious income goals that underpin the Association’s strategic goals and accelerates revenue growth in a sustainable manner.
- Identify new funding / tender opportunities that are well targeted, informed and thoroughly researched in order to maximise the chances of success.
- Produce external funding bids, expressions of interest and support income generating activities including developing tender responses and social enterprises to meet the Association’s objectives.
- Submit bids, tenders and required information to funders within defined deadlines while meeting submission requirements.
- Support the development of business cases for establishing social enterprises and joint ventures that deliver local outcomes and diversify / strengthen the Association’s financial base.
- Work with colleagues to scope, develop, refine and improve services and activities through innovative tools and techniques including organising coproduction sessions with partners, stakeholders and residents.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, contract managers, grant officers and corporates etc.
- Create a business development/funding pipeline tracker – supporting colleagues to keep a track of tender and fundraising opportunities, the progress of each application, workload spikes and bottlenecks, clashes and deadlines; supporting managers and colleagues to ensure that all deadlines are met with maximum efficiency.

For over 50 years, Leeds Women’s Aid has been a lifeline for women and children experiencing domestic violence and abuse. The organisation has grown significantly, from a c.£600–700k income charity 10 years ago, to one now approaching £5m annual income.
