As a key member of the newly formed Programme Delivery Team, you will contribute to the growth, reach, and impact of Leadership Skills Foundation programmes among underserved and under-represented individuals and communities. Your work will play a vital role in benefiting thousands of young people across the UK.
We are looking for an energetic and innovative relationship-builder who can establish and manage partnerships with local community groups across England. Through strong relationship management, you will play a key role in identifying learnings through the programmes delivery and will be confident to use the learnings to influence future strategy and delivery plans.

Main duties and responsibilities
Responsible for co-ordinating, engaging and managing multiple local community organisations across c. 5-7 locations in England to deliver leadership programmes with identified target audiences, groups and individuals.
Design, develop and manage a delivery plan for the Programme, which engages key stakeholders, and is based on the principles of co-creation, trust and flexibility.
Support identified stakeholders to test adapted leadership skill programmes and learn from the delivery to inform future delivery.
Through learnings from local delivery partners and working with research colleagues, develop a shared understanding of the needs and barriers young people in underserved communities face in accessing leadership skill development and volunteering opportunities.
Work with colleagues in the Innovation team to provide support to local delivery partners to address and overcome these barriers to engage the target audiences.
Deliver training, support and orientation to local delivery partners
Work with the Programme Research Manager to establish a delivery feedback loop to inform the development of learning resources and programmes to overcome the needs and barriers young people in underserved communities face.
Provide opportunities for the research plan, developed by the Programme Delivery Research Team, to be implemented to drive the improvement of strategic, business and operational planning and delivery.
Provide connectivity between your work/engagement with delivery centres and the work of the Business and Market Development Teams.
Work with the Programme Research Manager to capture and share best practice to support the wider adoption across community and partner networks.
Work collaboratively to successfully influence and deliver agreed programme objectives and key results.

We are looking for an experienced leader to manage a growing Evidence and Evaluation Team and lead cross-functional programmes to drive systemic improvements in youth employment outcomes.
As an experienced leader, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the national evidence base on what works to improve youth employment.
The role will be based within the Impact and Evidence Directorate, reporting to the Director, but with strategic responsibility for generating evidence through evaluation for maximum impact.
- You will lead a high-performing team, influence external partners, and ensure the rigour and relevance of our programmes to drive real-world change for young people across the UK.

Responsibilities
- Work with course designers to develop new, and maintain existing, elearning and media content.
- Translate storyboards into interactive learning content, creating activities, graphics, animations, audio and videos, using tools such as Articulate (Storyline and Rise), Canva, H5P, Murf and Adobe.
- Ensure learning meets development guidelines, and is accessible, functional and engaging.
- Integrate learning content to create courses on our learning management system (Moodle).
- Test learning content, including using screen readers and other accessibility software.
- Help to maintain the guidelines for course development.
- Support the day-to-day administration of the Sea Cadets learning management environment
- Cultivate strong working relationships across multiple teams (internal and external)
- Stay up to date with latest system upgrades and advise on their potential impact on existing or new courses
Requirements
- eLearning development experience ( e.g. tools such as Articulate Storyline and Rise, or similar)
- Experience in media creation for graphics, sound and video editing.
- Good MS Office skills

In 2024, TAWS was given the opportunity pilot a Surplus Hub Project at Birmingham Wholesale Market, where edible waste food destined for anaerobic digestion can be diverted to human consumption. To purpose of this role is to maximise the amount of surplus food available to the Food Justice Network groups via the Birmingham Wholesale Markets.
Food Redistribution Manager:
The Food Justice Network is a network of around 300 independent partner organisations, all of who are providing support across the city. FJN Partners offer a range of services from foodbanks to community cafes, to community pantries and warm spaces, all delivering vital support to some of Birmingham's most vulnerable citizens.
Your role will be the sourcing and procuring farming surplus and collective buying of fresh produce for the Food Justice Network. Part of this opportunity will be facilitating the set-up of a city-wide network to make surplus food redistribution more coordinated and effective.
There is already a significant amount of surplus food redistributed across the city and lots of work going on in terms of reducing waste in businesses but we know that sometimes unexpected surplus food arises and not every food business is plugged in to the surplus food network.
Alongside the core of the role, you will also be managing two to three people who you will be working in conjunction with but on separate projects.
This will provide less reasons for businesses to waste food with a strong, well connected and promoted network.

- You will design and manage complex programmes of evidence generation to understand what works to support young people into good work. DFN Project SEARCH offer an evidence-based supported internship model which takes place entirely in the workplace. The programmes provide continuous support to young adults with a learning disability, and autistic people who are aged between 16 – 24 with an Education Health and Care Plan, or equivalent, in their final year of education.

You will also assist the Chief Executive in implementing the organisational strategy, and by adapting and evolving delivery models on the ground. As you will have operational management and oversight for our Healthcare Services and hold the Designated Safeguarding Lead role for the organisation, you will bring considerable services-related experience at a management and leadership level. The Chief Executive will focus predominately on external matters and therefore you must have experience of managing an organisation to achieve high quality programmes with evidenced impact and motivated teams. You will act for the Chief Executive on topics, as agreed, and deputise during their absence.
Key duties
1. Leadership
- Ensure that children and adults with ME are at the heart of everything we do through meaningful engagement and participation to influence all aspects of our work.
- Deputise for the CEO and represent and promote the Charity at national meetings and events.
- Deputise for the CEO during periods of absence, and in relation to specific matters, issues or elements of operation as delegated from time to time by the CEO, ensuring a consistency of approach and decisions aligned with the organisation’s objectives.

2. Operations & management
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Charity ensuring high quality service provision that meets all best practice, legal and regulatory frameworks and internal policies and procedures.

Person specification
Experience and Knowledge

Through the appointment of a Strategic Programme Director (SPD), we have been given an opportunity to bring a step change in our mission and ministry across the Diocese of Coventry. With a history of innovative missional practice and a dedicated team of lay and ordained leaders across our diverse geographical area (Warwickshire, Coventry and part of Solihull), we are looking to appoint a strategic thinker who is solutions focused with experience in bringing impactful change. The SPD will join us at an exciting time in the strategic development of the Diocese of Coventry as our new diocesan bishop takes up her responsibilities with a vision to see all churches flourish. A highly consultative approach will be needed as we look ahead to the beginning of this new season.
The Strategic Programme Director will be responsible for contributing to and supporting the Bishop’s Senior Staff Team and key lay and ordained leaders in the delivery of the diocesan strategy. The role will ensure that the programmes, projects and workstreams within the plan are delivered on time, within scope and budget. The Programme Director will provide oversight of the strategic plan from inception of ideas through implementation to delivery of projects. Working collaboratively across the Diocese, the role will also ensure that key outcomes are well-defined, appropriately prioritised, delivered to plan and within budget. Programme Development & Planning
